Life Prospects on Mars

This is a taste of the material prepared by JP Skipper over the past decade on the topic of the possibility of life on Mars.  His work has now narrowed down to identifying lakes of liquid water and their surrounds.

He has also established that sufficient moisture exists in the atmosphere to support modest clouds as common.  His site hold a number of reports going back to 2000 and represent a daunting read, but also an evolution of his thinking.

The argument for both water and supported plant life of some form is pretty compelling. Most such evidence is centered on the great rift near the Equator and is about were such discoveries might be made.

He also calls into question why we are not seeing color images and all that. It is not as if it is difficult to do and it certainly shows up the involvement of life.

One ends up generally concurring that life in some form is occupying occasional refugia on Mars and that begs the question of why we are not already paying close attention to the obvious targets like the obvious lake unless we are been led astray somehow.

Mars Water "The Hidden Truth"

J. P. Skipper writes, "I suspect you're looking mostly for civilization evidence as that is the most dramatic, exciting, and entertaining from the public's point of view. However, in my opinion, this is also where most of the science community resistance is the hardest with MUFON waging a fight that is just really too much uphill from the science community's blind living in denial point of view.

In my opinion, the evidence presentations need to concentrate on something more at a fundamental and basic level. That is one of the reasons why my presentations concentrate on surface water in a liquid state and biological life taking advantage of it. In my opinion, this may have a slightly better chance of being eventually understood and accepted at science and academia community level because it is viewed as a bit less threatening. The way the mainstream public behaves, this is necessary because they follow mainstream leaders that they recognize as such and everyone else is passed off as just a rogue element.

If science and academia community types once begin to grasp that yes there is surface water on Mars in a liquid state and yes there appears to be basic forest life taking advantage of it, then the implications begin to sneak up on them and then it's too late to very successfully back off. Implications like unfrozen surface means milder temperatures than they've been led to believe as well as an atmospheric envelope not as concentrated with CO2. Forests around them and flourishing carry the same message.

Once they begin to question this most basic of data at the very root of the secrecy, the process of questioning anything at all itself begins to gain momentum that will also eventually lead to recognition of the civilization evidence. On the other hand, just sticking civilization evidence alone in front of them doesn't work well enough because it is perceived by them to be threatening and something to fear creating an emotional reaction. That reaction just allows them to escape in denial by traditionally and safely dismissing it all as "conspiracy theory."

At the above link on my page promoting my book and its evidence are several profound surface water and forest life image. It's just my thinking of course but I think that you and MUFON pushing this kind of visual evidence and pounding this theme into the sand heads in addition to the usual civilization evidence will be more effective in the long run.

MARS VS. EARTH LAKES & FORESTS COMPARED

Report #199
March 29, 2011

Joseph P. Skipper

This report orients on a most basic issue, that being is there really any surface water and/or life on Mars? Why is the truth of that so important? Because the official consensus is that water in a liquid state cannot exist on the Mars surface without quickly evaporating away or freezing into ice. Further, officially the Mars' atmosphere is suppose to be 95+% CO2 with only trace amounts of H2O water vapor meaning that any ice seen on the ground is more than likely CO2 ice rather than water ice. Additionally, most of you have seen at least some of the rover close images of the planet's surface and it appears to be basically a dry desert.

Where is the truth here? What is one to believe? Logically, if I show you visual evidence that is verifiable right in the official science data of Mars surface water lakes, lakes obviously in a liquid state and even surrounded by forests of densely packed bio-life comparable with Earth based evidence, who winds up with egg on their face? In fact, that is precisely what I am going to do.

The comparison evidence that follows is actually part of the 4th chapter of my book "The Hidden Truth: Water & Life on Mars." In writing the book it occurred to me that I might better start in the book with its smaller black and white images by putting the combined surface water and biological life (forest) evidence’s best foot forward so to speak to establish that there is real reason to take this seriously and set the stage for the even better surface water and biological life evidence to follow in the main book.

After all, although some will be familiar with my work, this will be new and likely incredulous to others, especially since it goes completely against the official positions that the public is conditioned into accepting. In repeating the comparison image thing here again, those new to this should know right off that this is serious evidence not to be easily dismissed.

So what I'm doing below is to present just a few samples of known obvious surface water lake and forest evidence here on Earth directly compared to some of the better, more obvious, and least visually compromised of the Mars surface lake water and forest evidence. You will see that the obvious very strong visual comparison similarities will be immediately apparent and should provide solid insight even for those unfamiliar with satellite imaging of surface water and forests.

Now understand that, although I have chosen these Mars and Earth images here specifically for their close comparative looks, I have not manipulated them in any way other than to bring them into sharper clearer focus. As always with me, what you see here is just exactly what is verifiable in the official imaging data, nothing more and nothing less.

In the process, one thing that you will begin to understand is that the very best of the Mars surface water evidence imaging is also strong with recognizable vegetative biological life (forests) evidence taking advantage of it, so both water and bio-life will be explored at the same time. It will become increasingly clear that it is this so normal looking combined surface water and forest life evidence that will ultimately be so devastating to the official position as to what Mars is all about and usher in a new clearer perception of not only the planet Mars but of our greater planetary environment in general and the likelihood that we have all been duped over the last decades with regard to this.

The original MGS MOC E0801033 image strip used to extract the Mars evidence here is long and unusually thin. That signals a researcher like me to look closer at it. Why? Because it often means that someone has shrunk the strip so that any detail in it will be as from considerable distance and trying to zoom in on any of the evidence for a closer look in the strip will quickly run into trouble. In fact, that appears to be the case here. Additionally, someone put a haze over the strip to further degrade resolution as well as making it very dark. Most researchers would pass over such an image and the secrecy types know this. None-the-less, as you can see below, the evidence can still be brought out sufficiently to at least determine what is really going on.

Note that all of the Mars images here have been rotated 90º counterclockwise from the original orientation. Why? By doing so and adding a small partial boost in strip size (zoom factor) to 400 pixels, from top to bottom everything that is in the strip section is in the Mars images below from the east–west borders and allows me to get more evidence in each image despite their being problematic in this regard due to the strip's skinny size.

You'll also note that, while I've given the data links needed to verify the Mars images, no such links are given on the Earth image evidence. Why? I secured these Earth images online from a USGS survey of north central and north west Florida some 7-8 years ago or more and then eventually lost the site information. The reason that I stuck with these images is because they included some quite old images that did a better job of displaying what fairly old growth forest sites here on Earth look like. Undisturbed old growth visual evidence is hard to come by any more here on Earth due to human commercial intervention.

Earth old growth forests without human commercial intervention in them are much more closely comparable to Mars' usually always very old growth forests apparently not subject to commercial intervention, at least that shows. For example, the difference is demonstrated by the first Earth image below. It is older growth but a forest in North central Florida that is very mixed in tree types from palms to pines to hardwoods and it is very spotty showing evidence of logging into an area likely too wet for the logging of the wetlands back in that day as well as perhaps Hurricane storm effects typical of Florida.

On the other hand, the second Earth image below is of a portion of a huge drain system in North central Florida here in the USA. The large round lake is right in the middle of this old drain and an old growth forest has long ago filled in the broad drain tightly from its east to west edges surrounding the lake. Ground water under the densely packed forest still apparently drains unseen into the lake. Water coming into the lake causes the general water level in it to rise outpacing evaporation. This in turn causes the lake to have a small drain of its own at the south (left) end taking the form of a small river with dark water clearly seen in it.

.
The above Mars and Earth images are telling. The darkest areas are surface water lakes and note that they're in that all important liquid state with all the implications for the Mars true milder atmospheric temperatures that goes along with this observation.

Also, note how dense and uniform the Mars bio-life evidence is. This is so typical of Mars old growth. Even if the strip didn't have all that haze, darkening, and shrinking compromising vision to contend with, the Mars image would still have been darker than the compared Earth image. It's because the Mars forest is so widespread and thick that it blocks out sunlight from reaching the ground and being reflected back at us from the ground. In fact, the ground isn't even visible at all due to the forest coverage. That means that the forest upper canopy would be absorbing a lot of that sunlight rather than reflecting it back. This too is so typical of old growth tree forests where ever one finds them.

On the other hand, in the above Earth image, again the darkest areas are surface water lakes in Florida with the water in a liquid state. However, note that a couple of the Earth lakes in the upper center area of the image above show by their lighter color a few lakes that are very shallow or nearly dry. The fact that the forest immediately around them has as yet not successfully migrated out into the lake bottom areas suggest that there may be seasonal rising and falling water enough in these sites to prevent tree invasion out into the lake depression area.

Note the bright white color spots mostly in the left of center portion in the above 2nd image. These are thin places in the forest where ground level evidence can be seen between the trees. Most likely bare ground is reflecting sunlight back up at the camera. Since some of the water lakes are at low levels, these reflective areas among the trees are more likely to be bare earth. They're probably where logging has taken place in spots in the past but the logging was unable to penetrate through wetlands to the dark open lakes and you see an absence of reflectivity the closer to the dark open water lakes one gets.

..
The above Mars image (#3) and its evidence is from the same original MGS MOC E0801033 skinny strip. The Mars sectional evidence is just more uniformly dense forest canopy surrounding a larger lake with irregular shorelines and where the water is once again in dark liquid state with all of its implications for milder environmental temperatures. Again, this density of the old growth is so typical of Mars forests.

In the next (#4) image, we also have an old growth Earth forest in the above image densely packing a huge old time north to south drain system. The east/west edges of the old drain are well outside the section this image encompasses. When I returned to this site several years later, it showed considerable evidence of commercial logging destroying most of its old growth characteristics.

Remember, whether on Earth or on Mars, old growth forest density like these tell us that the conditions producing such a forest has been like this for a long time and represents a very stable past. Therefore, the completeness of the forest coverage of the available terrain in establishing itself is a solid realistic measure of how long this forest and its lakes have been taking advantage of the favorable and very stable conditions. How does that compare with what the official consensus would have us believe about Mars?

Longitude 296.95º W — Latitude 78.86º S

The above Mars image demonstrates more large lakes geology in the same strip. The darkest areas are surface water in a liquid state and the lighter colors out in the lakes is likely shallower water. All surrounded by dense old growth forest that here in this portion of the strip are a little better viewed. I'm not including a comparison Earth image here because that really serves no further purpose since I suspect everyone has now figured out what surface water lakes in a liquid state look like whether on Mars or on Earth in black and white imaging.

What I am additionally including is the two above Earth based forest only (no surface water viewable) images trying to make sure that viewers can recognize what forest patterns look like in distant overhead views. Primarily, in this case, hardwood and pine forest look like the above.

Note in the more distant view Earth (#6) image above what a combination of dirt roads, more sunlight reflective pasture grasslands with scattered trees emerging on the pasture, and the darker more sunlight absorbing old growth forest. In this location, there are a lot of steep sided relatively narrow drains with higher more level cleared ground in between. The old growth forest occupies the difficult to access drains. At some point in the past when human intervention cleared the dryer ground for commercial use such as cotton or tobacco, they did not clear the water drains no doubt because it was too much work for too little commercial return.

This meant that the old growth continued to flourish in these drains to the point that no land or water in the drains is visible at all due to the completeness of the forest canopy coverage. Note the tree patterns and density of coverage. Note that there is very little difference between these Earth forest patterns and those on Mars that I am demonstrating here.

Yes, some Mars forests appear to have what we would regard as conventional tree forest growth despite being a different world far away from us. We may even share a common ancient past heritage on this. This mostly familiar type of evidence is good for our comfort level and should facilitate recognition. On Mars the forests proximity to the multiple lakes in location sites over a wide area suggests that ground water and soil conditions are favorable to such growth.

However, Mars has many different kinds of forests and many of them will be very strange to the average Earth human. Some of the stranger looking forest specialize in terrain that appears to periodically flood with shallow water, again suggesting true milder planetary temperatures. Some growth even appears to specialize in taking advantage of water presence in icy very cold conditions and the list goes on. See the book for other variations.

This evidence section extracted from the book "The Hidden Truth: Water & Life on Mars" demonstrating officially impossible multiple surface water lakes with the water in them in a liquid state and dense old growth forests surrounding them that took time to establish has all kinds of important implications. First, this evidence tells us that Mars environmental conditions just cannot be as severe as they would officially have us believe. Second, where there are such conditions more favorable to life in general, then life of all kinds, including intelligent life, may occupy this planet and claim it as their own.

Once the above visual evidence sinks in, then gradually it also begins to sink in that all that image tampering present in the official science data is there almost certainly to hide life's presence on this planet as to it being far more favorable to life than we've been conditioned to believe. With that realization, comes the insight that someone here on Earth knows this and is actively keeping this knowledge from us. Why? I find this situation of lies and deceit unacceptable but you must decide for yourself.

The point of this reporting is to demonstrate conclusively that there are very strong factual and verifiable reasons why we should be ultra cautious on believing the official consensus about Mars. Clearly the planet has surface water in a liquid state thought impossible to exist. Same for biological life (forests) taking advantage of the favorable soil and soil moisture conditions also thought to be impossible. If we can't trust the official position on this kind of most basic fundamental evidence such as atmospheric content (95+% CO2) and hard freezing temperature conditions, how are we suppose to trust them on anything else in the official Mars reporting?

Also, if there is as it appears a great deal more extremely important stuff to know about Mars and it's truth as well as what ever is being hidden in Antarctica right here on Earth, why aren't we behaving like the revolutionaries in north Africa and the mid-east and demanding the knowledge that is being withheld from us? It took those current revolutionaries 30-40 years to get fed up enough to revolt under the tyranny and poor treatment. Are we less than they? Or, are we just more deeply entrenched in engineered and conditioned denial simply because we don't want to know more?
