We read here a wonderful description of the Pleistocene Nonconformity which happened around 12900 BP even more precisely around 10950 BC according to work on Gobekli Tepe.
This clearly describes the effects of the massive comet impact and confirms that it was breaking up as well. Major earth movements are well described as well from the perspective of locale. Carbon fall is clearly remembered along with noxious gases. Scant survivors are utterly shocked. I thik that i am correct in seeing this event in Europe. The comet was still high overhead and descending toward the East. Thus no shock wave is observed as occurred over Siberia. Also the impact caused the crust to shift southward through Hudson Bay where the impact was centered in the Ice cap. This was a targeted event.
The southward movement spared parts of Europe from a massive inundation although a serious inundation did arrive through the North Sea. At the same time waters from the pacific inundated all China and into Siberia.
What is confirmed is that the Earth was effectively scoured and from this perspective mankind changed and now lived in fear of the heavens. That mankind did survive is confirmed. I had thought as much but the impact was so savage it was in question.
This also explains the impetus behind building Gobekli Tepe. It was almost recent news then.
