LPP FUSION - New Records for Deuterium Fusion Yields, Beam and Plasmoid Energy

Report May 15, 2025

nice update on LPP fusion progress.  It naturally takes a lot of time.  And we are all in a hurry.  Yet tbis path will provide us our power plant for tooling around the solar system just using plasma propusion in our drive.

A good way to shift a space station wheel out to any where we like beyound pluto.

Ultimately we need to build thousands of these space Stations and carry large communities far out into our outer solar system and this system can do it.

New Records for Deuterium Fusion Yields, Beam and Plasmoid Energy

We’ve finally, after 9 years, got new yield records for deuterium. Not for a single shot, but for the more scientifically significant average of 2, 3 and 4 consecutive shots with the same conditions, and for all shots with the same conditions. We also have new records for total ion beam and plasmoid energy.

The increase in yield is not breakthrough-level—it’s only 10%, thus lifting the best two-shot yield to 0.21 J from 0.19 J achieved back in 2016. But the new results are significant in confirming that the older results are repeatable with our present device. Indeed, the variance of the yield—a measure of how much yield changes from shot to shot—also got better dropping from 33% to 26%. They remain the best results of any private fusion company for “wall-plug efficiency”—the critical ratio of fusion energy out to total energy into a device.

In addition, the new yield results have confirmed the predictions of our theory. Now that we have taken into account the limits imposed by the current in the filaments and the limits on total pressure of deuterium, these new, repeatable results are almost identical to our predictions. This gives us confidence that the far higher yield we predict for our hydrogen-boron shots will also be confirmed be near-future experiments. (More on boron soon!)

The increase in beam and plasmoid energy is greater than that for yield, doubling to about 8 kJ from the 4 kJ we’ve achieved several times since back in 2013. In at least one shot that we’ve analyzed, shot 3, April 3rd, we were able to confirm the beam energy with two instruments. Our “Upper Rogowski Coil” measures the current in the beam directly and the energy in each ion by the time it takes the ions to arrive. The faster the ions, the more their energy. This was confirmed by the gamma ray spectrometer that sits under the end of our drift tube. The beam produces the gamma rays when it smashes into the steel plate at the end of the drift tube. From the amount and energy of the gamma rays we can calculate the total energy in the beam. The two instruments agreed on both total energy and energy per ion.

Ion energy spectrum of a record 8 kJ ion beam, based on gamma ray spectrometer data.

The 7-8 kJ we measured is about 18% of the total energy in the device at the time the plasmoid forms—a significant advance in energy efficiency. We expected this, because we’ve increased the current by 50% with our dual switches and the energy efficiency should go up as the square of the current. Again, this confirmation of our theoretical predictions helps pave the way for successful boron shots—coming soon!

The deuterium shots have been taken as cleaning shots between boron shots—the pure deuterium shots that are themselves taken after deuterium-nitrogen mix shots are the ones that are generating record yields.

“Levitating Diamonds Reach Impossible Speed”:

This is amazing and i wonder just what the contained energy will be?  imagine holding the energy of a arge bomb in a device you can barely see.

This will obviously throw up plenty of research results.  al without going over the top in new tech.

All good.

“Diamonds Defy Physics”: Levitating Gems Spin at Mind-Boggling 1.2 Billion RPM to Crack the Code of Quantum Gravity, Leaving Scientists Stunned

A groundbreaking experiment at Purdue University showcases levitating diamonds spinning at 1.2 billion RPM, unlocking new insights into quantum physics and gravity.

🔬 Levitating and spinning diamonds at 1.2 billion RPM reveal insights into quantum physics and gravity.

💎 Researchers at Purdue University utilize nanodiamonds with nitrogen-vacancy centers to detect magnetic fields.

✨ The experiment explores the Berry phase and its effect on spin qubits, opening new research avenues.

🚀 This breakthrough offers potential for advanced technologies in navigation and communication systems.

In the cutting-edge world of quantum science, a mesmerizing experiment is unfolding. Researchers at Purdue University have achieved the seemingly impossible by levitating and spinning tiny diamonds at extraordinary speeds. These diamonds, spinning at 1.2 billion revolutions per minute, are not just a spectacle but a gateway to understanding the profound mysteries of the universe. The team’s groundbreaking work is shedding light on quantum physics and its potential connection to gravity, paving the way for scientific advancements that were once thought to be the stuff of science fiction.

Diamonds That Float and Spin in a Vacuum

Within the confines of a vacuum chamber, researchers have managed to levitate nanodiamonds, each just 750 nanometers wide, using an ingeniously designed ion trap. These diamonds are not ordinary; they are crafted through high-pressure, high-temperature processes and then modified with high-energy electrons to create nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers. These NV centers are the heart of the experiment, housing electron spins that act like tiny compasses to detect magnetic fields.

The setup for this extraordinary feat involves an Ω-shaped stripline and electrodes that apply electric fields, enabling the levitation and control of the diamond spins. Lasers are used to read the spin states, allowing scientists to glean information about the quantum behavior of these levitated particles. As Prof. Tongcang Li articulates, this is the first time optically detected magnetic resonance measurements have been performed on a nanodiamond in high vacuum. Such advancements are crucial as they offer new tools to probe the fundamental laws of physics.

How Light and Rotation Reveal the Quantum World

The interplay between light and the spinning diamonds reveals fascinating insights into the quantum realm. A green laser illuminates each nanodiamond, causing it to emit a red glow that discloses its spin state. Simultaneously, an infrared laser reflects off the rotating diamond, allowing scientists to monitor its speed and direction. The scattered light resembles rays from a spinning disco ball, vividly displaying the diamond’s motion.

The remarkable speed of 20 megahertz, equivalent to around 1.2 billion revolutions per minute, is unprecedented. This speed is not merely for spectacle but is instrumental in pushing quantum spins into new territories where peculiar behaviors, such as the Berry phase, emerge. Observing these behaviors confirms the significant influence of the diamond’s rotation on the spin qubits, offering a novel way to explore quantum mechanics. The relationship between motion and spin provides a rare opportunity to study the deepest laws of the universe.

Why This Work Matters for Science and Technology

Levitated particles in a vacuum offer a pristine environment, free from external disturbances, enabling precise measurements. The isolation achieved in these experiments makes levitated systems ideal for testing fundamental theories and creating precision measurement tools like gyroscopes and field sensors. The combination of floating particles and quantum spins in levitated nanodiamonds holds tremendous potential for technological advancements.

Previous attempts to levitate diamonds under high vacuum often failed due to pressure and spin signal challenges. However, the Purdue team overcame these obstacles by refining their trap and minimizing heat from detection lasers. This breakthrough allows stable levitation at pressures below 10⁻⁵ Torr, with controlled spin states, while maintaining a manageable internal temperature of 350 K. This success opens doors to deeper experiments exploring the connection between general relativity and quantum mechanics. Such experiments are pivotal in bridging these two major scientific theories.

A Platform for Testing Quantum Gravity

The quest to unite Einstein’s general relativity with quantum mechanics has been elusive. However, the experiment with spinning diamonds offers a promising platform for testing theories of quantum gravity. By embedding quantum bits in rotating objects, scientists can observe how gravity affects these spins, potentially building large-scale quantum superpositions. These states, where particles exist in multiple configurations simultaneously, could provide crucial insights into whether gravity adheres to quantum rule

Beyond theoretical implications, spinning diamonds have practical applications. The U.S. Air Force already employs optically levitated nanoparticles to enhance navigation and communication systems. As techniques improve, more industries stand to benefit from these advancements. These experiments underscore the potential of spinning diamonds as bridges between two major scientific paradigms, offering a glimpse into the future of science and technology.

Built by Hand and Optimized with Software

Creating the sophisticated trap for levitating diamonds required a blend of advanced tools and creative ingenuity. Using software simulations, the team tested various designs to optimize the trapping and microwave transmission capabilities. The final design, built on a sapphire wafer with a 300-nanometer-thick gold layer, includes additional electrodes for steering and spinning the diamonds.

PhD student Kunhong Shen highlights the ability to change the spinning direction by adjusting the voltage, likening the random spinning of the diamond to a tangled ball of yarn when the drive is off. The collaborative efforts of students, postdocs, and external collaborators were instrumental in the success of this groundbreaking experiment. The study, published in Nature Communications, represents a milestone in levitated optomechanics, bringing physics closer to answering some of its most profound questions.

The remarkable achievements in levitating and spinning diamonds at Purdue University are pushing the boundaries of quantum science. As researchers continue to delve into the mysteries of quantum gravity, the potential for scientific breakthroughs and technological innovations is enormous. What exciting discoveries and applications will the future hold as we further explore the intersections of quantum mechanics and gravity?

Will Trump Invade or Bomb Mexico to Win the Drug War?

May 13, 2025

https://www.fff.org/2025/05/13/will-trump-invade-or-bomb-mexico-to-win-the-drug-war/

Yesterday, the Wall Street Journal reported that Iván Archivaldo Guzmán recently evaded capture by Mexican police by using escape tactics that he learned from his father Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán. The Journal described Iván as “Mexico’s Most Wanted Drug Kingpin.”

But wait a minute! I thought that when U.S. officials recently sentenced El Chapo himself to life in a U.S. prison, the war on drugs was supposed to have been won. Alas, apparently not. It turns out that El Chapo has several sons who took over the family drug business.

Darn! And here I thought that the drug war was finally over. Who would have thought that the busting of one big drug lord only means that new drug lords are there to take their place? Gosh, so does that mean that if officials capture or kill all the Chapitos, the drug war will finally be over? If you believe that, I’ve got a nice bridge across the Rio Grande I’d like to sell you.

President Trump knows that the drug war is a long way from being over, no matter how many Chapitos are killed or captured. Trump now wants to use military force against drug cartels inside Mexico. He says the drug dealers are more than drug dealers. He says there are also “terrorists.” So, he wants to kill them by dropping U.S. bombs on them, firing missiles at them, or using U.S. troops to shoot them — inside Mexico. Trump obviously feels that by winning the war on drugs in Mexico, he will be winning the war on drugs here at home.

Unfortunately for Trump, however, when he asked Mexican president Claudia Sheinbaum for permission to use U.S. military force inside Mexico, she said no. That must have undoubtedly surprised Trump, given that he has been praising her for several months and even cut her some slack on his tariff campaign. In fact, Trump was so miffed over Sheinbaum’s rejection of his request that he responded by suggesting that she was just scared of the drug cartels.

However, it’s not difficult to understand why Sheinbaum has rejected Trump’s request.

For one thing, Trump’s request is a variation of “I’m from the federal government and I’m here to help you.” Who believes that one? Not anyone in Mexico, including Sheinbaum.

Another thing to consider is that if U.S. troops enter Mexico ostensibly to combat the drug cartels, there is a good possibility that they will never leave. After all, aren’t there still U.S. troops in Iraq? Indeed, aren’t there post-World War II troops still in Germany? Why would Mexico want a permanent occupation by the U.S. national-security establishment? Would Americans want a permanent occupation of the United States by the Mexican army?

A third thing to consider is that the U.S. government hasn’t exactly done a great job in smashing its own illicit drug distributors here inside the United States. After all, if it had done so, U.S. officials could have declared victory and an end to the drug war. Instead, implicitly acknowledging defeat domestically, they now feel that they need to go into Mexico to win the drug war over there. One can understand why Mexico would question the competence of U.S. officials to win the war on drugs in Mexico when it can’t even win the war on drugs inside the United States.

Something else to consider is all of the innocent people who would be killed in a U.S. military campaign against Mexican drug cartels. Remember: U.S. officials don’t exactly put a high value on the lives of Mexicans. After all, isn’t that one of the countries that U.S. officials say is filled with rapists, murderers, thieves, and robbers who are invading the United States? Given such, I can’t imagine that U.S. officials are going to be very upset about the large number of Mexican citizens who would be killed in a U.S. military campaign against the drug cartels.

Finally, based on what happened in the Mexican War, one can understand why Sheinbaum and the Mexican people would be a bit skittish about permitting a U.S. invasion of their country. When the U.S. government provoked that war, U.S. officials used the war to steal the entire northern half of Mexico. Who’s to say that the U.S. government wouldn’t do the same thing today — after forcing all Mexican citizens to move south, of course, to avoid having them become U.S. citizens.

As President Trump has pointed out, Sheinbaum is a very sharp person. She is smart to say no to Trump’s request to invade and bomb her country in the name of winning the ongoing, never-ending, perpetual immoral and destructive war on drugs.

White House Has Presented Iran With Written Nuke Deal Proposal In Huge First

The fact is that they are now working it out and if a deal is possible, we will have one.

Understand that Trump wants all hostilities to end in a way that is verifiable.  This has never been the desire of the DEEP STATE and every step forward was countered.

The will now exiists on our side.

White House Has Presented Iran With Written Nuke Deal Proposal In Huge First

Thursday, May 15, 2025 - 11:22 AM

https://www.zerohedge.com/commodities/very-serious-negotiations-crude-prices-tumble-after-trump-says-us-close-nuclear-deal

Update(10:30ET): With President Trump and his envoy having arrived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the last leg of the president's Gulf tour, new details of behind the scenes US-Iran negotiations have come to light on Thursday.

In a huge first, the Trump White House has sent Iran a written proposal toward forging a new nuclear deal. White House envoy Steve Witkoff has led several rounds of talks, and Axios has revealed that the communication was issued to Tehran last Sunday.

"Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi took the proposal back to Tehran for consultations with Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, President Masoud Pezeshkian and other top officials," writes Axios.Via Associated Press

Iran and US conclude fourth round of nuclear talks

It was the Iranian side which initiated the swap of written proposals first, as the talks which have been on since April went from 'indirect' to more 'direct':During the third round of talks in late April, Araghchi gave Witkoff an updated document with Iranian ideas for a nuclear deal. This time, Witkoff took the document.

A U.S. team of experts studied it and sent the Iranians a list of questions and requests for clarification. The Iranians replied and added questions of their own, two sources said.

Meanwhile, Witkoff and his team prepared a U.S. proposal laying out the Trump administration's parameters for an Iranian civilian nuclear program and requirements for monitoring and verification, the sources said.

It appears that thus far both sides have received the other's written proposals positively, and that's what was driving President Trump's "olive branch" comments on Tuesday. He had stressed while speaking in Saudi Arabia that "this is not an offer that will last forever. The time is right now for them to choose."

President Trump followed up on Thursday by saying from Qatar, "We're in very serious negotiations with Iran for long-term peace," according to AFP.

He said, "We're getting close to maybe doing a deal without having to do this... there (are) two steps to doing this, there is a very, very nice step and there is the violent step, but I don't want to do it the second."

Trump's comments followed an NBC News interview with Ali Shamkhani, a top political, military and nuclear adviser to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who said Tehran is prepared to sign a nuclear deal—provided key conditions are met—in exchange for the lifting of U.S. economic sanctions.

NBC News pointed out that Shamkhani's comments "appear to be the clearest public statement yet on Iran's expectations and willingness to reach a deal from the supreme leader's inner circle."

And the fact that written proposals have already been exchanged is yet further confirmation of this positive trend towards peace. Trump has emphasized that Iran can never have a nuclear bomb, but Tehran itself has long said it's not pursuing a nuke, and that its program is only for peaceful domestic energy purposes.

Brent crude prices fell on Thursday as geopolitical risk premiums eased following President Trump's comments during his Gulf tour, where he signaled that the U.S. is nearing a nuclear deal with Iran. Unlike earlier headlines on AI, defense, and aviation deals with Saudi Arabia and Qatar, Trump's comments suggested a potential breakthrough in U.S.-Iran nuclear talks.

"We're in very serious negotiations with Iran for long-term peace," Trump told reporters in a press pool that AFP News first reported.

Speaking in Doha, Qatar, during his Middle East trip, the president said, "We're getting close to maybe doing a deal without having to do this... there (are) two steps to doing this, there is a very, very nice step and there is the violent step, but I don't want to do it the second way."

An Iranian source told Reuters that negotiations with Trump administration officials still needed to bridge some gaps before a final deal could be reached.

Trump has offered "an olive branch" to Tehran after a multi-month maximum-pressure campaign, including economic sanctions and deploying long-range stealth bombers to America's "unsinkable aircraft carrier" - located in the Indian Ocean - ready to be deployed at a moment's notice.

However, last week, ahead of Trump's Gulf tour, we spotted at least one of these stealth bombers returning to the U.S. We suggested this may have been an act of goodwill ahead of talks by the U.S. or possibly just a routine flight.

On Thursday, Brent crude futures fell 3% to $60 a barrel on expectations that a U.S.-Iran nuclear deal would ease sanctions and increase crude oil on international markets.

"The overnight development of a possible nuclear deal is the sole reason for the morning's weakness. If an agreement is reached, Iran agrees to halt enriching weapon grade uranium and the deal is effectively enforced, which is hard to believe, then the Persian Gulf country's crude oil exports can rise by as much as 1 [million barrels per day]," PVM analyst Tamas Varga told CNBC in an emailed statement.

"It sounds price negative, but its impact will possibly be mitigated by OPEC+ rolling back on its plan to release barrels back to the market faster than originally planned," he added.

Goldman trader Rich Privorotsky commented on the development:

Staying with geopolitics there are some rather positive stories emanating out of Iran. "Iran is ready to sign a nuclear deal with certain conditions with President Donald Trump in exchange for lifting economic sanctions, a top adviser to Iran's supreme leader told NBC News on Wednesday." Unclear if the U.S. will agree to the terms but they seem fairly broad: "He said Iran would commit to never making nuclear weapons, getting rid of its stockpiles of highly enriched uranium which can be weaponized, agree to only enrich uranium to the lower levels needed for civilian use, and allow international inspectors to supervise the process, in exchange for the immediate lifting of all economic sanctions on Iran." (NBC news) If confirmed I think oil could eventually end up heading back to the recent lows and I would continue to express any cyclical concerns in this space.

Here's the latest commentary from UBS traders:

Oil Equity Resilience Amid Oil Price Drop Oil prices are down, mainly because of a potential deal with Iran. That could mean up to 500kb/d increased supply coming to market very quickly. Oil equities, however, are already underweight for generalists and specialists have already de-grossed, following the OPEC+ surprises so far this year - hence oil equities are proving to be relatively resilient even though the oil price is down.

If Trump secures a nuclear deal with Tehran, it would cap off a week of landmark agreements with Gulf nations—collectively worth trillions—and add to an already bullish news cycle for the president. Also, this would mean continued easing of geopolitical risk premiums in the region, in other words, lower energy prices for Trump to pursue his 'America First' agenda.

10 Powerful Ways Castor Oil Transforms Your Body

Castor oil is potent and What i have found to be important is that it penetrates.  that means it will go through your skin or nail of hair folicle and react deeply.

most oils do not do this and merely sit on the surface.

I have noted that this behavior massively reworked my fungal affected toe nail causing the nail to shrink and release the damaged nailbed to good effect.  all else did nothing at all.

It is an obvious drug carrier because of this and can be likely used to bypass ingestion.  That would be a huge leap in efficiency.

10 Powerful Ways Castor Oil Transforms Your Body

From glowing skin to gut health, see why this age-old oil is making a major comeback.

Castor oil isn't just grandma's idea. In fact, castor oil has been used for centuries for its medicinal benefits. Ayurvedic medicine practitioners often look to castor oil to heal the skin and soothe the digestive system. It's made up of almost 90% fatty acids, including ricinoleic acid, which helps promote healthy skin and hair. Additionally, castor oil can boost the immune system, balance hormones, heal skin infections, and more. (1)
Castor Oil Benefits

1. Improves Immune Function

Yes, castor oil is good when applied to the skin, but it is also used internally. By boosting the immune system and killing harmful bacteria, castor oil can help lower inflammation to prevent infection. How does it do this? Well, one study shows that castor oil may help improve lymphatic drainage and rid the body of harmful toxins. (2)

Another study shows how fatty acids, ricinoleic acid in particular, helps to regulate the body's immune responses. Therefore, castor oil may improve immune function. (3)

2. Boosts Circulation

In addition to improved immunity, castor oil benefits include the ability to naturally boost circulation and improve cardiovascular health. In fact, 90% of castor seed oil is an Omega 9 fatty acid, so it is healthier than industrial fats. "Research has shown that omega-9 fatty acids, commonly referred to as monounsaturated fatty acids, can help reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and stroke." Therefore, castor oil also benefits heart health. (4)
3. Fights Skin Infections

Castor oil benefits include the ability to fight wounds and skin infections. Because castor oil is easily absorbed through the skin, this helps increase circulation and promote healing. In addition, it works as a natural antibacterial, anti-fungal, and antimicrobial agent to reduce swelling, fight inflammation, and prevent infection. (5)

4. Helps Balance Hormones

Yes, this amazing oil helps balance hormones, too. Castor oil benefits include the ability to balance hormones naturally. For example, it helps enhance the absorption of fat molecules in the digestive tract, which plays an important role in hormone production. And hormones made from omega 9 or omega 3 fatty acids function better in the body than those made from omega 6s. (6)

5. Induces Labor

For centuries, castor oil has been used as a natural remedy to induce labor. It works by speeding up contractions. Thanks to the ricinoleic acid it contains, castor oil benefits include the ability to activate receptors in the uterus that stimulate contractions. (7)

6. Heals Dry, Sunburned, and Acne-Prone Skin

Castor oil works similar to coconut oil when it comes to healing skin conditions. Thanks to its antibacterial properties, castor oil benefits include the ability to fight bacteria that causes acne. To treat acne naturally, try applying castor oil to the affected areas using a cotton swab. You can also try mixing apple cider vinegar with frankincense essential oil and pure coconut oil. The ingredients will help reduce redness and inflammation while fighting off harmful bacteria.

7. Reduces Nail Fungus, Moles and Cysts

Castor oil can be used as a natural treatment for toenail fungus, as well as moles and cysts. Simply mix a small amount of castor oil with a little bit of baking soda, then apply the mixture to the affected area to kill fungus and bacteria.

8. Relives Constipation

Castor oil benefits include the ability to relieve constipation. When taken orally, castor oil works as a mild laxative. It helps stimulate regular bowel movements while increasing circulation. Castor oil also improves gut health by riding the body of harmful bacteria, which can help reduce cramping, bloating, leaky gut syndrome and IBS. (8)

9. Lowers Symptoms of Arthritis

Thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties, castor oil benefits include the ability to reduce symptoms of arthritis. Massaging painful areas with castor oil can help lower inflammation and reduce pain in joints, muscles, and tissues. In one comparative study, castor oil was found to be as effective as a pharmaceutical without any side effects. (9)

10. Encourages Hair Growth

Similar to the benefits of coconut oil for your hair, castor oil benefits include the ability to encourage hair growth. The fatty acids it contains help stimulate growth and encourage healthier, shinier hair. (10)

Jordan Peterson and the Real “Dark Tetrad”

worth the read, but only identifies the attraction of the power hungry to the philosophical extremes of political discourse.  Both of which are convenient rationalizations serving their proonents.

Understand that everyone believes in the need for the KING and all chasing power work by chasing that moduality.  however they choose to confuse the issue.  These extremes naturally work against the majority sentiment in betweent.

Sadly KING ship often as not throws up a dumbass.

this is largely why we need to establish the RULE of TWELVE which naturally and dynamically selects and matches talent to need.  Recall the tribal elders selecting a WAR Chief and not a KING.

Jordan Peterson and the Real “Dark Tetrad”

05/12/2025•Mises WireLiam McCollum

On the Joe Rogan Experience, and in a recent discussion with James Lindsay, Jordan Peterson warned of “dark tetrad” psychopaths on social media–individuals with Machiavellian traits who opportunistically adopt ideas and play power games.

Peterson implied these types are emerging on the non-interventionist right, cloaking their real “antisemitic” intentions with false conservative rhetoric. “They use language only as a means to manipulate towards instrumental ends,” Peterson said. They “mimic competence,” but cannot get along with it for long and must “find another host,” because “they don’t create, they destroy.”

But, a stronger case can be made that the real Machiavellian “dark tetrad” types in American politics are the neoconservatives.

Irving Kristol, the “godfather of neoconservatism,” was a radical, anti-Stalinist Trotskyite early in his life and later became a Republican, supporting Cold War interventionism and a “conservative welfare state” modeled on Otto von Bismarck’s social reforms. He was heavily influenced by Leo Strauss, who could be called the “intellectual godfather of neoconservatism.”

Kristol accepted Strauss’s theory that ancient philosophers concealed esoteric meanings in their writings that could only be understood by a select philosophical elite while offering simpler messages to the masses.

Summarizing his contribution, Kristol said that Strauss did not accept the “Enlightenment dogma that `the truth will make men free’” since “there was an inherent conflict between philosophic truth and political order.” Ultimately agreeing with him, Kristol wrote, “[T]he notion that there should be one set of truths available to everyone is a modern democratic fallacy. It doesn’t work.”

Strauss also wrote about Niccolò Machiavelli, admiring the “intrepidity of his thought, the grandeur of his vision, and the graceful subtlety of his speech.” Though he rejected Machiavelli’s amoralism, Strauss valued his realism. He thought Machiavelli’s rejection of the classical philosophers and their ideals and principles birthed modern philosophy. Machiavelli was a pragmatist who focused on “how men live” rather than “how they ought to live.”

Strauss believed democracies needed strong governments and elites to face hostile forces. Paul Wolfowitz, the Deputy Secretary of Defense during the Iraq war, and Abram Shulsky, who in 2003 served as Director of the Office of Special Plans (created to find evidence of Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz’s claim that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction), studied under Strauss at the University of Chicago.

Despite claims that Strauss would have rejected neoconservatism, Shulsky, in “Leo Strauss and the World of Intelligence,” cited him as a key influence. He explained that Strauss’s esotericism “suggests that deception is the norm in political life, and the hope . . . of establishing a politics that can dispense with it is the exception.” He praised Strauss for his “success in looking below the surface and reading between the lines.”

Critics argued that Strauss believed that the “person who whispers in the ear of the King is more important than the King” and that “philosophers need to tell noble lies not only to the people at large but also to powerful politicians.” In The Prince, Machiavelli suggests rulers should appear virtuous but act pragmatically and “know how to do wrong.”

Neoconservatives arguably employed “noble lies,” like claims that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, to mask strategic aims, like regime change. Pivotal neoconservatives Richard Perle and Norman Podhoretz exemplified these Machiavellian and Straussian tactics. Perle, one of the architects of the Iraq War and co-founder of the Project for the New American Century (PNAC), advocated regime change, claiming that Saddam possessed WMDs. Podhoretz, editor of Commentary Magazine, also shifted from the left to neoconservatism, and said that there was “no doubt” Saddam was “on the precipice of nuclear power” in 2002. They both crafted public narratives while pursuing elite-driven agendas, evidenced by PNAC’s “A Clean Break” memo, written for Benjamin Netanyahu, which revealed the private intentions behind regime change in Iraq and Syria.

Regardless of the Straussian roots, we are inevitably led to the question of whether their policies are actually conservative or whether the neocons simply “found another host.” Perhaps the Straussian roots of neoconservatism are a baseless “conspiracy theory.” Still, we should ask if American interventions in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, and Iran are conservative. Do these policies align with “Mr. Republican” Robert Taft and the Old Right’s non-interventionist stance? Or is it possible that neoconservatives opportunistically cloaked themselves in conservatism to advance an incompetent but highly destructive foreign policy?

Initially aligned with progressive Democrats—Wilson, FDR, Truman, and LBJ—who championed a firmly interventionist foreign policy, the neoconservatives later found themselves at odds with Democrats due to rising anti-war sentiments during the Vietnam War. They began to align themselves with a faction of Republicans. In “The Emergence of Two Republican Parties,” Irving Kristol derided the Old Right’s conservatism as overly concerned with fiscal restraint and opposition to the New Deal. He urged “Post-New Deal Republicans” to embrace “energetic leadership” modeled after Theodore Roosevelt, America’s first progressive president, who pioneered an interventionist foreign policy.

This shift was not unique to Kristol. James Burnham, another ex-Trotskyite, similarly shaped conservatism’s interventionist turn as a founding editor of National Review. Although much can be gleaned from his work, Burnham called for America to wage a “Third World War” against communism and criticized libertarian Murray Rothbard for being an “isolationist.” He praised FDR as “the chief War-Monger” who pulled the U.S. out of the Great Depression.

Burnham’s The Machiavellians championed elite theory and Machiavelli’s realist method, viewing politics as a science of power, divorced from the “other-worldly” and “rotten ethics” of political philosophers and moralists, like Rothbard, who believed in natural law. Instead, Burnham believed liberty could emerge from a rotating elite—but because of his rejection of moralism, his conception of liberty was quite vague, allowing for it to be sacrificed on the altar of the Cold War by the American right.

In his essay “The Party and the Deep Blue Sea,” William F. Buckley, the founder of the National Review (who said Burnham was “the number one intellectual influence on National Review”), wrote about the Republican Platform, beginning with an appeal to libertarians Albert Jay Nock, Herbert Spencer, and H.L. Mencken. But he ends the essay by revealing the truth: the interventionist right dresses in libertarian anti-statism but is statist, Machiavellian, and opportunistic in its militarism.

Because he prioritized victory in the Cold War, Buckley argued for “extensive and productive tax laws that are needed to support a vigorous anti-Communist foreign policy.” To defeat the Soviets, Buckley said, “[W]e have got to accept Big Government for the duration — for neither an offensive nor a defensive war can be waged … except through the instrumentality of a totalitarian bureaucracy within our shores.” Therefore, he concludes, we conservatives and libertarians must put aside our principles and support “large armies and air forces, atomic energy, central intelligence, war production boards and the attendant centralization of power in Washington — even with Truman at the reins of it all.”

Although he later diverged from neoconservative foreign policy during the Iraq War and was a conservative his entire life, Buckley’s willingness to accept Big Government for anti-communism reflected the right’s Machiavellian and neoconservative shift due to the influence of figures like Burnham.

Thanks to that ideological shift, neoconservatives got away with masking their interventionist agenda in conservative jargon by justifying the Middle East wars as “defending freedom.” However, as Peterson said regarding “dark tetrad” tendencies, the neoconservatives were unable to get away with mimicking competence for too long.

Modern neoconservatives are now at odds with the “America First” movement after decades of failed wars and regime change operations, and many, like Bill Kristol, Irving’s son, who championed America’s wars, have begun to jump ship, yet again, creating the “Never Trump” movement in opposition to populist conservatives. This divide was made evident by Vice President JD Vance’s recent reply to Kristol on X in which he said he was “not fine with people starting stupid wars that kill thousands of my countrymen.” Public intellectuals like Douglas Murray, the author of Neoconservatism: Why We Need It, find themselves grasping at straws in heated debates with Dave Smith and Joe Rogan over interventionism and MAGA’s support for foreign wars. These are signals that neoconservatism and America’s wars are not in alignment with the conservative movement, but perhaps they never were.

Rather than focusing on powerless online trolls, directing unearned malice at figures like Dave Smith and Tucker Carlson, or wondering what standards Joe Rogan should use to determine which guests should be invited on his platform, Peterson should direct his attention to those who co-opted conservatism in America and championed centralized power in Washington, empire-building, and regime change. After all, under the guise of the “moderate” right-wing, their policies have proven to be utter failures and their actions have caused immense human suffering, the displacement of refugees, hundreds of thousands of deaths, and massive deficit spending, reflecting the same incompetence, Machiavellian deception, and harm that Peterson warns will result from “dark tetrad” tyrants on the left– in other words, “they don’t create, they destroy.”

Rogue communication devices found in Chinese solar power inverters

Just how badly does the CCP want to get their entire manufacturing industry black listed?

That will turn out to be the cheapest and most profitable way to end the CCP threat.  And while we are at it we mandate all new installs are EMP protected.  It will take a while ,but decades later, the system will be clean and safe.

All this can be done by executive order.

LONDON (Reuters) -U.S. energy officials are reassessing the risk posed by Chinese-made devices that play a critical role in renewable energy infrastructure after unexplained communication equipment was found inside some of them, two people familiar with the matter said.

Power inverters, which are predominantly produced in China, are used throughout the world to connect solar panels and wind turbines to electricity grids. They are also found in batteries, heat pumps and electric vehicle chargers.

While inverters are built to allow remote access for updates and maintenance, the utility companies that use them typically install firewalls to prevent direct communication back to China.

However, rogue communication devices not listed in product documents have been found in some Chinese solar power inverters by U.S experts who strip down equipment hooked up to grids to check for security issues, the two people said.

Over the past nine months, undocumented communication devices, including cellular radios, have also been found in some batteries from multiple Chinese suppliers, one of them said.

Reuters was unable to determine how many solar power inverters and batteries they have looked at.

The rogue components provide additional, undocumented communication channels that could allow firewalls to be circumvented remotely, with potentially catastrophic consequences, the two people said.

Both declined to be named because they did not have permission to speak to the media.

"We know that China believes there is value in placing at least some elements of our core infrastructure at risk of destruction or disruption," said Mike Rogers, a former director of the U.S. National Security Agency. "I think that the Chinese are, in part, hoping that the widespread use of inverters limits the options that the West has to deal with the security issue."

A spokesperson for the Chinese embassy in Washington said: "We oppose the generalisation of the concept of national security, distorting and smearing China's infrastructure achievements."

Using the rogue communication devices to skirt firewalls and switch off inverters remotely, or change their settings, could destabilise power grids, damage energy infrastructure, and trigger widespread blackouts, experts said.

"That effectively means there is a built-in way to physically destroy the grid," one of the people said,

The two people declined to name the Chinese manufacturers of the inverters and batteries with extra communication devices, nor say how many they had found in total.

The existence of the rogue devices has not previously been reported. The U.S. government has not publicly acknowledged the discoveries.

Asked for comment, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) said it continually assesses risk associated with emerging technologies and that there were significant challenges with manufacturers disclosing and documenting functionalities.

"While this functionality may not have malicious intent, it is critical for those procuring to have a full understanding of the capabilities of the products received," a spokesperson said.

Work is ongoing to address any gaps in disclosures through "Software Bill of Materials" - or inventories of all the components that make up a software application - and other contractual requirements, the spokesperson said.

hacks or remotely accessing solar and battery inverters, the CCP stops at nothing to target our sensitive infrastructure and components," said U.S. Representative August Pfluger, a Republican member of the Committee on Homeland Security.

"It is about time we ramp up our efforts to show China that compromising us will no longer be acceptable," he told Reuters.

In February, two U.S. Senators introduced the Decoupling from Foreign Adversarial Battery Dependence Act, banning the Department of Homeland Security from purchasing batteries from some Chinese entities, starting October 2027, due to national security concerns.

The bill was referred to the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs on March 11 and has yet to be enacted.

It aims to prevent Homeland Security from procuring batteries from six Chinese companies Washington says are closely linked to the Chinese Communist Party: Contemporary Amperex Technology Company (CATL), BYD Company, Envision Energy, EVE Energy Company, Hithium Energy Storage Technology Company, and Gotion High-tech Company.

None of the companies responded to requests for comment.

Utilities are now preparing for similar bans on Chinese inverter manufacturers, three people with knowledge of the matter said.

Some utilities, including Florida's largest power supplier Florida Power & Light Company, are attempting to minimise the use of Chinese inverters by sourcing equipment from elsewhere, according to two people familiar with the matter. FPL did not respond to requests for comment.

The DOE spokesperson said: "As more domestic manufacturing takes hold, DOE is working across the federal government to strengthen U.S. supply chains, providing additional opportunities to integrate trusted equipment into the power grid."

'CATASTROPHIC IMPLICATIONS'

Huawei is the world's largest supplier of inverters, accounting for 29% of shipments globally in 2022, followed by Chinese peers Sungrow and Ginlong Solis, according to consultancy Wood Mackenzie.

German solar developer 1Komma5 said, however, that it avoids Huawei inverters, because of the brand's associations with security risks.

"Ten years ago, if you switched off the Chinese inverters, it would not have caused a dramatic thing to happen to European grids, but now the critical mass is much larger," 1Komma5 Chief Executive Philipp Schroeder said.

"China's dominance is becoming a bigger issue because of the growing renewables capacity on Western grids and the increased likelihood of a prolonged and serious confrontation between China and the West," he said.

Since 2019, the U.S. has restricted Huawei's access to U.S. technology, accusing the company of activities contrary to national security, which Huawei denies.

Chinese companies are required by law to cooperate with China's intelligence agencies, giving the government potential control over Chinese-made inverters connected to foreign grids, experts said.

While Huawei decided to leave the U.S. inverter market in 2019 - the year its 5G telecoms equipment was banned - it remains a dominant supplier elsewhere.

Huawei declined to comment.

In Europe, exercising control over just 3 to 4 gigawatts of energy could cause widespread disruption to electricity supplies, experts said.

The European Solar Manufacturing Council estimates over 200 GW of European solar power capacity is linked to inverters made in China - equivalent to more than 200 nuclear power plants.

At the end of last year, there was 338 GW of installed solar power in Europe, according to industry association SolarPower Europe.

"If you remotely control a large enough number of home solar inverters, and do something nefarious at once, that could have catastrophic implications to the grid for a prolonged period of time," said Uri Sadot, cyber security program director at Israeli inverter manufacturer SolarEdge.

STRATEGIC DEPENDENCIES

Other countries such as Lithuania and Estonia acknowledge the threats to energy security. In November, the Lithuanian government passed a law blocking remote Chinese access to solar, wind and battery installations above 100 kilowatts - by default restricting the use of Chinese inverters.

Energy minister Zygimantas Vaiciunas said this could be extended to smaller rooftop solar installations.

Estonia's Director General of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Kaupo Rosin, said the country could be at risk of blackmail from China if it did not ban Chinese technology in crucial parts of the economy, such as solar inverters.

Estonia's Ministries of Defence and Climate declined to comment when asked if they had taken any action.

In Britain, the government's review of Chinese renewable energy technology in the energy system - due to be concluded in the coming months - includes looking at inverters, a person familiar with the matter said.

In November, solar power inverters in the U.S. and elsewhere were disabled from China, highlighting the risk of foreign influence over local electricity supplies and causing concern among government officials, three people familiar with the matter said.

Reuters was unable to determine how many inverters were switched off, or the extent of disruption to grids. The DOE declined to comment on the incident.

The incident led to a commercial dispute between inverter suppliers Sol-Ark and Deye, the people said.

"Sol-Ark does not comment on vendor relationships, including any relationship with Deye, nor does it have any control over inverters that are not branded Sol-Ark, as was the case in the November 2024 situation you referenced," a Sol-Ark spokesperson said.

Deye did not respond to requests for comment.

The energy sector is trailing other industries such as telecoms and semiconductors, where regulations have been introduced in Europe and the U.S. to mitigate China's dominance.

Security analysts say this is partly because decisions about whether to secure energy infrastructure are mostly dictated by the size of any installation.

Household solar or battery storage systems fall below thresholds where security requirements typically kick-in, they said, despite now contributing a significant share of power on many Western grids.

NATO, the 32-country Western security alliance, said China's efforts to control member states' critical infrastructure - including inverters - were intensifying.

"We must identify strategic dependencies and take steps to reduce them," said a NATO official.

Shocking UFO files hidden in presidential library claim US made successful contact with an alien race

nothing here that we have not seen before. The actual purpose may well be to push the contact narritive forward in time.  That makes good sense because secrecy became paramount around 1955.  We may well have never needed direct comms after Roswell provided a body of matetrial.

Discovery of information becomes rather easier when you have remnant material on your desk.  Of course, this is none of our business.

After all, it is clear to me that we have had gravity manipulation since around 1955 ,and my lab rat stumbled into it in my attendance not too long ago.  Which immediately begged the question of when had we done it before.  Odds are that Tesla stumbled into it as well.  Just saying, but it is none of our business

Shocking UFO files hidden in presidential library claim US made successful contact with an alien race

A trove of unearthed government documents has detailed a secret face-to-face encounter with aliens beings more than 60 years ago.

More than 50 pages of CIA files, which the FBI continues to say are fakes, claimed that a secret government program established communications with UFOs in 1959.

Project Sigma, started in 1954, used a binary computer language sent along radio signals into space to make contact with alien life.

Just five years after the interstellar connection, an official from the US Air Force met the extraterrestrials who received these messages.

The files claimed that on April 25, 1964, a single intelligence officer met with two aliens at a prearranged location in the New Mexico desert - the same state that the famous Roswell UFO crash allegedly took place.

The meeting lasted for about three hours, during which time the intelligence officer and the extraterrestrials shared 'basic information' about their respective races.

The documents also detailed how a secret government group called the Majestic 12 used their incredible power to keep top secret information on UFOs away from the military and the even White House.

Several classified projects focused on alien communication and UFO research allegedly fell under the Majestic 12's control - with the group revealing to the CIA that they succeeded in their goals of finding alien life.

Project Sigma, which was allegedly run by the secret group Majestic 12, spent five years trying to make radio contact with UFOs before succeeding in 1959

According to documents that emerged in the 1980s, the Majestic 12 (MJ-12) was a committee of high-ranking military, scientific, and intelligence officials assembled after the now-famous UFO crash in Roswell.

The 12-person team was allegedly established through a secret executive order by President Harry Truman in 1947.

For over two decades, these experts were tasked with managing investigations into UFOs and extraterrestrial contact.

The CIA files stated that MJ-12 oversaw four specific projects charged with communicating with aliens, researching UFOs, recovering crashed alien ships, and testing out whatever advanced technology they could find.

MJ-12 stated that it took five years before they finally made successful contact with UFOs in 1959, noting that the group 'established primitive communications with the Aliens,' using binary code sent by radio.

Binary is the lowest-level language computers understand, directly corresponding to electrical states in hardware. It represents all data (text, numbers, instructions) as sequences of 0s and 1s.

And scientists searching for alien life still uses the method to this day.

This basic form of communication would led to the meeting between the Air Force and these aliens in 1964, with MJ-12 stating that 'the Air Force officer managed to exchange basic information with the two Aliens.'

Majestic 12 wrote at the time that this project was still continuing 'at an Air Force base in New Mexico.'

Following the historic meeting, MJ-12 established Project Snowbird in 1972 with a mission of test flying a recovered alien aircraft.

The classified report said that project was still taking place in a secret Nevada base - which many UFO researchers today believe is Area 51.

Despite being secretly appointed by the president, the uncovered documents also detailed how MJ-12 actively withheld information from top officials and even insulted those who they felt didn't need to know about UFOs.

'Apparently, White House requested info,' the members of MJ-12 wrote in a CIA memo. 'Can't seem to make those fools realize [this] info is not available for any dissemination.'

Later in the same letter, the group told the CIA not to allow a group labeled as 'AF' (which may have stood for the Air Force) to have access their data.

The top secret encounter was not found in the declassified CIA archives, but were instead uncovered after being quietly made available to the public at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library that opened in 1991.

CIA files allegedly written by the Majestic 12 revealed that the group was openly keeping secrets on UFO research from government officials, including members of the White House

MJ-12's existence became public knowledge after an alleged government whistleblower mailed a report on the group's activities to UFO researchers in 1984.

However, the FBI labeled the mysterious UFO document as 'bogus' and claimed that the group, the involvement of the experts named in the report, and MJ-12's mission were all a work of fiction.

In 1988, the intelligence community added that there were serious inconsistencies and formatting errors in the decades-old briefing for President Eisenhower that suggests it's a forgery.

Despite the US intelligence community's attempt to discredit the whistleblower, the details in it matched several of the key facts found in the Reagan Library papers - including the names of the 12 men in Majestic 12.

According to the unearthed documents, MJ-12 included Admiral Roscoe Hillenkoetter, the first CIA director, Dr Vannevar Bush, head of US scientific research during World War II, James Forrestal, the first US Secretary of Defense, and General Nathan Twining, the Air Force commander in charge of research and development of new aircraft.

Coincidentally, this research and development program was based at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio - the same military facility the debris from the Roswell UFO crash was allegedly taken to in 1947.

Dr Hal Puthoff, a physicist and UFO researcher, recently noted on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast that one of his colleagues spoke to the commander of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and confirmed that the crash really happened.

'They say it was the real deal, that this was a real unidentifiable crash and these materials were really, really from out someplace,' Puthoff said.

In reference to Projects Snowbird and Pounce, Puthoff also claimed that the US government currently has 'at least 10' crashed UFOs in their possession that they're still studying.

Since the 1947 crash at Roswell, the US intelligence community has allegedly been keeping the existence of alien life and UFOs a secret, with some declassified documents from that time stating that officials believed the talk about UFOs would cause a public panic

As for why this shocking meeting in 1964 and all the communications between UFOs has been hidden for 60 years, another declassified CIA document appears to answer that mystery.

Found in the CIA's archives of declassified files, DailyMail.com uncovered a memo from 1953 which essentially shut down any public discussion of UFOs over fear that the US government would lose control over the general public.

According to the Scientific Panel on Unidentified Flying Objects in January 1953: 'The continued emphasis on the reporting of these phenomena does, in these perilous times, result in a threat to the orderly functioning of the protective organa of the body politic.'

The five-person panel, made up of academic experts from universities throughout the US, concluded that UFOs did not pose a direct threat to national security during the Cold War.

Moreover, the panel's memo recommended that the government 'strip' UFOs of the 'special status' these sightings had already attained after Roswell.
