Investigative reporter Natalie Winters, who is part of the Bannon War Room, just dropped an explosive report on Substack claiming that dozens of American journalists are on China’s payroll.

According to Winters, these journalists have taken trips to China, funded by the CCP, and receive kickbacks for favorable reporting on China.

If her reporting is accurate, this would explain quite a few things, wouldn’t it?

Foreign-agent filings reveal that operatives working for a Chinese Communist Party-linked influence organization planned free trips for American journalists based on the potential for “favorable coverage” and sought to “effectively disseminate positive messages” about Beijing.

But the filings did not plainly identify the reporters who received the access.

By cross-referencing the filings with archived newsletters, annual reports and contemporaneous accounts, this investigation has uncovered the names of prominent American journalists who participated in China trips organized or funded by the China-United States Exchange Foundation, or CUSEF.

The roster includes current and former journalists from The New York Times, CNN, MSNBC, The Washington Post, NPR, the Associated Press, Vox, The Atlantic, the Los Angeles Times, the Chicago Tribune and other major American news organizations.

In several cases, the trips were followed by columns and reports defending Chinese government policies, attacking President Trump’s confrontation with Beijing or presenting the decline of American manufacturing as unavoidable.

Why They Won’t Even Fix the Easy Stuff

To start with, we need to rework the whole system in such a way that it is all managed at the Satate level.  That will at least granualize it all  In Canada, healthcare is managed completely at the proviincial level and half funded at the federal level.

This way the federal government avoids all political pressure and can force financial discipline on the provinces.  not perfect, but the friction shows that it works

The Department of Transportation’s headquarters campus in Washington spans two complexes covering 1.8 million square feet across 11-acre of prime DC real estate.

In the private sector, such a trophy office property would fetch north of $1 billion per year in rental income.

Yet for the federal government, two-thirds of the space sits empty according to the Government Accountability Office (GAO), the federal government’s own internal watchdog.

This is based on real data; the GAO toured the department’s buildings last fall and counted the empty desks.

And this is far from an isolated case. Of the 189 government buildings around the country that were analyzed by the GAO, 168 were underutilized– with occupancy averaging just 37%.

One of the worst offenders is One Aviation Plaza in Queens, which sits at 13% occupancy.

Ironically, Congress actually set a MINIMUM standard for all government buildings to be at least 60% occupied. This is the law of the land in the United States, set by the 2023 USE IT Act.

So, Congress was surprisingly trying to make things more efficient and save taxpayer money– potentially billions each year. They passed a law. But the government doesn’t follow it.

The big consequence for the government violating its own law so far has been this GAO report. Nobody was fined, nobody was fired, and nothing was sold. Basically we got a PDF.

And all of that is just one category of waste at just one department. The bigger losses are to outright fraud.

In June, the Justice Department announced a record-setting healthcare fraud takedown: 455 defendants, the most ever charged in a single healthcare fraud operation, including 90 doctors and licensed medical professionals, all accused in schemes involving $6.5 billion in fraudulent claims.

Yet federal agents only managed to seize $182 million in cash and assets. No word on what happened to the other $6.3 billion.

By the government’s own accounting, federal agencies made close to $200 billion in improper payments in fiscal year 2025 alone… $24 billion more than the year before.

That’s money which should never have gone out the door, went out in the wrong amount, or can’t be documented. And that was only across 64 programs at 15 agencies… a small fraction of the government’s total footprint.

This keeps happening for a simple reason: the federal government’s ~$7 trillion annual budget is too vast for anyone to keep track of… and no one is ever held accountable.

Bureaucrats who waste the money never get fired; in fact it is damn near impossible to fire a federal employee. And voters continue electing the same incompetent, crooked politicians to public office.

Even when there’s public outcry over obvious fraud, the legacy media closes ranks around their party and insists that voters are racist for criticizing “Learning Centers”.

None of this is free. The empty buildings, the stolen billions, the money nobody can track: it all gets paid for with borrowed money. And that deficit spending is what fuels inflation.

June’s Consumer Price Index came in at 3.5%. By the Fed’s own admission, inflation has now missed its 2% target for five years running.

And after all that failure, few in Washington will name the cause.

A lot of people blame oil, especially after the war with Iran sent crude above $126 a barrel. But oil has been all over the board for the last five years; it was under $60 a barrel just last fall. So why wasn’t inflation falling when oil was cheap?

Because, through all of it, there has been exactly one constant: insane levels of government spending. Deficits keep rising, and the more money the government wastes, the more stubborn inflation becomes.

The central bank can’t fix that; the Fed doesn’t pass spending bills, Congress does. And as long as the spending stays out of control, inflation is not coming down.

And Washington has shown no appetite to bring it under control. They refuse to cut even the easiest, most obvious waste and fraud.

Nothing about this changes on its own. A government that can’t bring itself to sell an empty building is not going to take on the spending that actually matters, and inflation is how they’ll pay for the difference.

Which is exactly why it makes so much sense to own the real assets that hold their value when the dollar doesn’t: gold, silver, and well-managed, productive businesses.

For decades, conventional medicine has largely dismissed vitamin C as little more than the micronutrient that prevents scurvy. In a highly significant development, however, an important new study has concluded that this humble molecule may also have the ability to stop the development of cancer. Published in the Journal of Theoretical Biology, the paper describes how vitamin C can block the formation of potentially cancer-causing chemicals during digestion. For supporters of Cellular Medicine, of course, such findings are less a surprise than a further powerful confirmation that Dr. Matthias Rath was right all along.

The new study proposes that taking a vitamin C supplement shortly after eating meals could reduce the production of chemicals known as N-nitroso compounds. These compounds are produced from nitrates and nitrites, chemicals that occur naturally in vegetables such as spinach and beetroot but are also widely used as preservatives in processed meats.

Inside the body, nitrates and nitrites perform useful functions, such as helping to regulate blood flow and supporting cardiovascular health. However, under certain conditions in the acidic environment of the stomach, they can also be converted into N-nitroso compounds, many of which are suspected or known to increase the risk of cancer.

Scientists have long struggled to explain why nitrate-rich vegetables are consistently associated with better health while processed meats have repeatedly been linked to a higher cancer risk. If both contain nitrates or nitrites, they wonder, why don’t they produce the same effects?

The protective effect of vitamin C and other antioxidants

The authors of the new study, who are based at the University of Waterloo in Canada, believe their research has uncovered an important piece of the puzzle. To better understand the interactions that take place, they built a complex mathematical model that examines what happens to nitrates, nitrites, and vitamin C as food passes through the body. Their model takes into account factors such as the role of the salivary glands, stomach, small intestine, and blood plasma.

The findings are striking. When vitamin C was present during the digestive processing of dietary nitrates and nitrites, it markedly reduced the formation of harmful nitrosation products that can eventually lead to the production of cancer-associated N-nitroso compounds. Vitamin C acts as a powerful antioxidant, intercepting highly reactive nitrogen compounds before they can form cancer-associated chemicals. Instead of allowing these dangerous chemical reactions to proceed, vitamin C effectively diverted them towards harmless end products.

This observation neatly explains why vegetables rich in nitrates don’t behave like processed meats. Leafy green vegetables naturally provide generous amounts of vitamin C and other protective antioxidants alongside their nitrates. In other words, nature supplies both the compound and its built-in protection in the same food. Processed meats, by contrast, often contain nitrites but little or none of the vitamin C needed to block the harmful cancer-causing reactions.

The study therefore points to a simple but powerful conclusion. It is not merely exposure to nitrates or nitrites that matters. Equally important is whether the body has enough protective micronutrients available at exactly the right time to neutralize potentially dangerous chemical reactions before they can damage cells.

Dr. Rath was right

The finding fits remarkably well with a growing body of scientific evidence showing that vitamin C plays multiple roles in protecting against cancer. Beyond helping to reduce the formation of carcinogenic nitroso compounds, vitamin C also acts as one of the body’s most important antioxidants, protecting DNA from oxidative damage, supporting healthy immune function, promoting collagen production that helps maintain the integrity of tissues and blood vessels, and contributing to the normal regulation of numerous cellular processes involved in tumor development.

For long-time supporters of Cellular Medicine, however, these facts will come as no surprise. More than two decades ago, Dr. Matthias Rath and his research team opened an entirely new direction in cancer research. At the 19th Annual Miami Breast Cancer Conference in 2002, they presented groundbreaking research demonstrating that a specific micronutrient combination consisting of vitamin C, the amino acids lysine and proline, and the green tea extract epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) could dramatically inhibit the spread of cancer cells. Their research focused on strengthening the body’s connective tissue and preventing cancer cells from breaking through this natural barrier, thereby attacking one of the key mechanisms that allows tumors to invade surrounding tissues and spread throughout the body.

Coming at a time when conventional cancer research remained overwhelmingly focused on surgery, chemotherapy and radiation, Dr. Rath’s discoveries highlighted an entirely different approach based on correcting underlying micronutrient deficiencies and restoring normal cellular function. Since then, numerous independent research groups around the world have published further studies investigating the anti-cancer properties of vitamin C and other natural micronutrients. Today, study after study continues to reinforce the principles first established through Dr. Rath’s pioneering work.

An exciting future lies ahead

Ultimately, the real question raised by this Canadian study is not simply whether vitamin C deserves more attention. It is why it has taken so long for mainstream medicine to acknowledge what independent nutritional research has been demonstrating for decades. While billions of dollars continue to be spent developing ever more expensive cancer drugs, relatively little attention is paid to inexpensive micronutrients that help the body protect itself naturally. One important reason is that vitamin C is a naturally occurring nutrient that cannot be patented. As a result, it attracts only a fraction of the commercial investment devoted to developing new pharmaceutical drugs.

More than twenty years after Dr. Rath and his research team first demonstrated that a targeted combination of vitamin C and other micronutrients could inhibit the spread of cancer cells, the scientific evidence increasingly proves that he was right. How to Propel Astronauts to the Speed of Light at 1g?

Two essays ago, I showed here that a spacecraft accelerating at the Earth’s surface gravity, 1g=9.8 meters per second squared, can bring astronauts all the way to the center of the Milky-Way, 26,000 light years away, within one decade. The main obstacle to achieving this feat is the huge amount of fuel required.

Albert Einstein’s most famous formula E=Mc² expresses the energy E associated with the rest mass M through the speed of light c. Since a payload moving at a non-relativistic speed v carries a kinetic energy E=0.5Mv², Einstein’s relation implies that it is necessary to supply about twice the rest mass energy in order to bring a payload close to the speed of light.

In other words, an astronaut with a mass of 100 kilograms would need the energy equivalent of 4 gigaton of TNT to approach the speed of light. This amount of energy is comparable to the energy stored in the global nuclear weapon arsenal worldwide. However, nuclear fuel cannot propel a rocket to the speed of light, because the energy it releases per unit mass, E/M, is much lower than c². Conventional chemical propellants are far less effective than nuclear fuel

For a chemical propellant, the square root of (E/M) is of order 0.00001c. For nuclear fuel, it is at best 0.01c for fission fuel and 0.02c for fusion fuel. For antimatter-matter annihilation, the energy released per unit fuel mass is exactly c based on Einstein’s equation.

The rocket equation implies that the terminal speed of the payload is the exhaust speed of burned fuel products (which is of order the square root of E/M for the fuel) times the natural logarithm of the ratio between the initial rocket mass of the payload plus fuel divided by the final mass of the payload. This implies that a terminal speed close to the speed of light required a fuel-to-payload mass-ratio of 3x10^{43} for a nuclear fission engine and 5x10^{21} for a nuclear fusion engine. This requires a minimum fusion fuel mass which is a tenth of the Earth mass (and much more for fission or chemical fuels) in order to propel a single astronaut to the speed of light.

The only rocket fuel that could possibly accomplish relativistic propulsion is antimatter. Unfortunately, the cost of producing antimatter is more than a quadrillion dollars per gram (as discussed here).

A decade ago, I chaired the science advisory board for the Starshot initiative (as I reviewed here) to accelerate a miniature gram-scale payload to a fraction of the speed of light using a 100-gigawatt laser that pushes a light sail attached to the payload for a few minutes. The acceleration in this case, of order 10⁵g, cannot be tolerated by the human body.

The use of light sails to accelerate astronauts to the speed of light at 1g requires an enormous radio beamer, as I suggested here on March 2017 (7 months before the first interstellar object 1I/`Oumuamua was discovered) with my then postdoc, Manasvi Lingam. We calculated that a radio beamer as big as the Earth which uses all the solar power arriving at Earth, could focus the light on a football-size (100 meters long) sail linked to a payload of a million tons (carrying many astronauts) and bring it close to the speed of light at an acceleration of 1g. Our peer-reviewed paper suggested that leakage of the resulting radio pulse can be detected across cosmological distances as a fast radio burst (FRB) with characteristics similar to observed transients. The origin of FRBs at cosmological distances is still highly uncertain, although it is commonly assumed to be associated with highly magnetized young neutron stars (as reviewed here).

Here’s hoping that a fraction of FRB events is generated by ambitious light sail projects of advanced civilizations. Discovering that will demonstrate that humanity is not at the top of the food chain, cosmologically speaking.

Ukraine’s drone campaign has already moved beyond tactical harassment. By mid-2026 it is systematically degrading Russian logistics at operational depth, particularly along the southern land corridor into Crimea and the adjacent Zaporizhzhia–Kherson approaches. The question is no longer whether drones matter. It is when the next qualitative jump — from high-volume semi-autonomous strikes to coordinated packs and true swarms — crosses thresholds that force local Russian routing or collapse of sustainment on a decisive axis.

The Scalability Advantage

Historical analogies help frame the moment. German U-boats in the Battle of the Atlantic came close to choking Britain’s supply lines, but their numbers were never infinitely scalable. Each submarine required long construction times, scarce materials, and highly trained crews. Allied counters eventually outpaced production and closed the gaps.

Drones reverse that constraint. Ukraine is producing millions of systems annually. Mid-range platforms with AI terminal guidance, optical navigation, and electronic-warfare resistance already operate routinely at 50–150+ km. Long-range variants reach well beyond 1,000 km. Because the platforms are cheap, iterable, and software-defined, the limiting factors are less industrial capacity than coordination, persistent coverage, and the ability to convert logistics friction into ground exploitation.

The closest historical parallel is not a single technology that magically broke trench warfare. It is the late-World War I combination of technologies and tactics that finally restored mobility after years of stalemate.

In 1914–1917, machine guns, barbed wire, and artillery created the trench deadlock. The breakthrough in 1918 (especially the Hundred Days Offensive) came from integrated combined arms: tanks to crush wire and suppress machine guns, refined artillery (predicted fire, creeping barrages), infantry trained in infiltration tactics, and air power for reconnaissance and ground attack. No one system was decisive alone. The game-changer was the ability to suppress the defender’s firepower and logistics long enough for mobile forces to exploit.

What “Transform” Would Actually Look Like

A transformative effect would look like this.

Coordinated packs or early swarms hold throughput on a critical corridor (R-280 and approaches to Crimea) below the sustainment threshold for several weeks.

Russian units on that axis experience acute shortages of fuel, ammunition, and replacements.

Ukrainian forces concentrate and exploit the resulting weakness with artillery, drones, and limited mechanized pushes.

A sector begins to unravel, forcing Russian redeployments that open further opportunities.

That is incremental and geographic rather than theater-wide. It is still highly significant: the first clear conversion of drone logistics dominance into regained territory and a shift from pure attrition to limited maneuver.

Coordinated drone swarms are the logical next escalation of a capability that is already reshaping the cost of Russian operations. They are closer to the 1918 restoration of mobility through integrated suppression and exploitation than to any single “wonder weapon.” The southern land corridor into Crimea remains the most likely place for the first major success if the density and persistence of Ukrainian drone coverage continue to rise. The technology is scalable in a way U-boats never were; the remaining constraints are coordination, continuous coverage, and the ground forces’ ability to turn logistics gaps into territorial gains.

Current Reality vs. the Swarm Step

Ukraine already fields high volumes of semi-autonomous mid-range drones with AI terminal guidance, optical navigation, and improved EW resistance. These systems are systematically hitting trucks, fuel tankers, bridges, and depots 50–150+ km behind the front, especially along the southern land corridor into Crimea. Traffic has been sharply reduced on key routes, fuel shortages are chronic in places, and Russian offensive tempo has slowed.

The next levels are denser coordination.

Packs/groups (5–20 platforms with shared targeting) that can saturate a road segment or overwhelm local air defenses.

True swarms (dozens of platforms with onboard AI that share data, self-task, and maintain continuous coverage across a sector).

These are research and early operational targets. Full combat-proven autonomous swarms that free-hunt continuously across an entire operational area are not yet standard, but the software, training data (hundreds of thousands of hours of combat footage), and cheap compute are advancing rapidly. When they mature, the shift is from intermittent interdiction to persistent presence—the difference between occasional U-boat attacks and a continuous submarine barrier.

Other useful comparisons.

Battle of the Atlantic (WWII): U-boats nearly starved Britain by attriting the logistics flow. They failed ultimately because they were not scalable enough and Allied counters (escorts, air cover, radar, code-breaking) closed the gaps. Drones reverse the scalability problem—Ukraine can produce them far faster than Russia can replace lost trucks or adapt fully.

Air interdiction campaigns (e.g., Allied efforts against German rail and road networks in 1944, or later precision campaigns): When persistent enough, they made large-scale movement and reinforcement extremely costly, enabling ground advances.

Blitzkrieg/combined-arms mobility (1939–41) with radio-equipped armor, air support, and logistics that moved with the advance shattered slower defensive systems. Drones today play a role closer to the persistent air and reconnaissance element that made rapid exploitation possible.

If This Isn't Treason, What Is?

 

So far, it appears that the sole motive for what has now been a problem for at least twenty years, is the ability to fatten the voter rolls with these folks.  It certainly is a form of poitical subversion which is borderline treason.

It is also true that a live body can be skated thrugh the voting system and certainly are regardless of citizenship status.  

This is protected by a complete lack of curiosity after the vote.  It has gotten bad enough that it has to be fixed.  One election was certainly stolen.

A newly revealed internal memo from the final days of the Biden administration exposes a calculated scheme to grant de facto amnesty to more than 3 million foreign nationals through Temporary Protected Status expansions, explicitly designed to block President Trump from carrying out the mass deportations the American people voted for.

Senator Eric Schmitt obtained the document, which laid out options to shield vast numbers of Guatemalans, Ecuadorians, Nicaraguans, Venezuelans and others from removal.

The plan aimed to force everything through activist judges and trap the incoming administration in years of litigation. As one post put it bluntly, this was a last-minute bid to protect foreign invaders before Trump took office.

The memo, dated around January 2025 though erroneously marked 2024 in places, estimated potential new TPS eligibility for roughly 1.5 million Guatemalans, 600,000 Ecuadorians, 464,000 Nicaraguans, 455,000 Venezuelans, plus smaller groups from Ukraine, Sudan and Afghanistan.

The total exceeded 3.1 million people. Senior advisors recommended creating 2.1 million new TPS designees in the administration's closing weeks, even while acknowledging that TPS applications take six months to process.

Schmitt commented, "My investigation uncovered that the Lame Duck Biden White House tried to keep millions of illegal aliens in our country by abusing the 'Temporary' Protected Status program."

"After the American people voted for President Trump's promise to end the TPS scam, the Biden administration tried to subvert the will of the American people," he continued, adding "This was mass amnesty-by-decree. America is for Americans, and it is our home - it is not a permanent refugee camp."

Schmitt further urged that "Biden tried to turn TPS into a 3.1-million-person deportation shield, protect Tren de Aragua members, and trap President Trump in years of litigation."

The most disturbing part, Schmitt noted, was the push to create millions of new designees so late in the term. "Luckily, that never happened and we have been deporting Ecuadorians and Guatemalans."

The memo itself referenced past court battles. It noted that prior federal litigation during Trump's first term had successfully halted efforts to terminate TPS for countries including Sudan, Nicaragua, Haiti, El Salvador, Nepal and Honduras, largely because of incomplete factual records.

It suggested the Biden team was prepared for more of the same under the new administration. Stakeholders, including a list of Democratic senators, had requested new designations for Ecuador and Guatemala in particular.

One week after the memo's circulation, the Biden administration extended TPS protections for nearly a million noncitizens. The full 3-million-plus plan was not fully executed, but the intent was clear: leave Trump with an even larger protected population and a thicket of lawsuits.

The contrast with what Trump has already delivered could not be sharper. Under this administration, migrant encounters at the southwest border have collapsed to historic lows not seen in more than half a century.

Fiscal year 2025 recorded just 237,538 Border Patrol encounters - the lowest annual total since 1970 - after years of Biden-era peaks above 2 million. Monthly southwest border apprehensions have stayed under 10,000 for consecutive months, with June 2026 at 9,848, a 94 percent drop from the Biden monthly average and 96 percent below the previous peak.

Fourteen straight months of zero releases by Border Patrol have turned the border from a free-for-all into a controlled line. Would-be crossers are staying home because the message is finally clear: you will not be released into the interior.

Canada can then sooner or later, chemically reprocess the rods to strip out tritiuum and other isotopes and plausibly put the uranium back into the fuel system.  In this manner, customers have a proven reactor system that is highly reliable and no fuel handling issues.

The United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia signed a nuclear cooperation agreement on July 22, 2026, that could allow the kingdom to enrich uranium on its soil, according to the U.S. Department of Energy. The agreement, known as a 123 Agreement, was signed by U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright and Saudi Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, according to a department statement. [1]

Deal Details and Safeguards

The 123 Agreement, named after Section 123 of the U.S. Atomic Energy Act, lays out terms for the transfer of American nuclear technology to Riyadh. According to the Energy Department, the deal will create U.S. jobs and "reinforce global nonproliferation standards."

Wright said the agreement "upholds the highest standards of nuclear safety and nonproliferation." However, the deal does not require the enhanced International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) safeguards known as the Additional Protocol, which gives inspectors broader access to nuclear facilities. The agreement could allow U.S. companies to assist Saudi Arabia in developing civilian nuclear power, including a potential uranium enrichment facility if a joint study warrants it, according to reports. Criticism From Nonproliferation Advocates

The deal has drawn immediate criticism from nonproliferation advocates who argue that allowing Saudi Arabia to enrich uranium could set a dangerous precedent and undercut efforts to constrain Iran's nuclear program. Andrea Stricker of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies called it "a bad U.S. nuclear deal" and urged Congress to block it over weakened safeguards and negative precedents. [6]

Richard Nephew, a former Biden and Obama administration adviser, expressed concern about the removal of IAEA monitoring. Critics argue that the deal could encourage similar arrangements by Russia and China. [7]

Less than 24 hours after the agreement was signed, U.S. President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social that the deal is conditional on Saudi Arabia joining the Abraham Accords and formally recognizing Israel. "The Civil Nuclear Deal (There will be no enrichment of material!)... pertains only to non-military use... will be approved, but is totally subject to Saudi Arabia joining the very respected and successful Abraham Accords," Trump wrote. The normalization condition was not mentioned during the signing ceremony. According to sources cited by Middle East Eye, normalization was not discussed during months of negotiations. [11] John Hannah of the Jewish Institute for National Security of America questioned why the U.S. gave up leverage on nuclear demands without securing normalization.

Karen Young of the Middle East Institute noted that shifting politics may reduce congressional resistance. [12] The Trump administration has also elevated Saudi Arabia to major non-NATO ally status, granting access to advanced U.S. military equipment including F-35 stealth fighter jets. [13]

Congressional Oversight and Next Steps

Democratic lawmakers wrote to Secretary of State Marco Rubio in November 2025 urging "gold standard" nonproliferation measures in any nuclear deal. [14] Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Paul D. Guaglianone told Congress that the deal will be submitted for a statutorily required review period. The White House has not publicly commented on the review timeline, but Secretary Rubio said details will be released publicly when appropriate.

The IAEA stated on July 23 that it is aware of a U.S.-Saudi plan to request verification work but has yet to receive a formal request. "We look forward to receiving the request for such verification and to working with the U.S. and KSA in ensuring the implementation of those measures," the IAEA said. [15]

The deal also comes amid escalating regional tensions. The U.S. has been conducting airstrikes on Iran for 12 consecutive nights, and Iran-backed Houthis struck two Saudi oil tankers on July 23. [16]

A survey of 2,253 Americans conducted by Morning Consult and the Cato Institute provides some good news but also raises serious concerns about the future. The good news is that the survey indicates 55 percent of Americans believe the Constitution should put firm limits on government power and 58 percent say no political party should be trusted with too much power.

However, the survey also indicates that four in ten Americans would approve of a president they voted for “stretching” the Constitution to accomplish their goals. This is not surprising since it is common for people’s positions on presidential power to change when their candidate ends up in the Oval Office.

A disturbing result of the survey is that 53 percent of people in Gen Z (defined as those born between 1997 and 2012) have a favorable view of socialism while only 45 percent have a favorable view of capitalism. Fifty-one percent of Gen Z said they are more likely to vote for a candidate who identifies as a “democratic socialist.” This support for democratic socialism among young people means America will likely travel further down the path to totalitarianism, as younger voters respond to problems caused by government intervention in the economy with calls for more government.

Students who are not taught the history of America’s founding, including the importance of limiting government to a few well-defined functions and separating power among three branches of government and between the federal government and the states, will be less likely to support constitutional government. Similarly young people who are not taught that prosperity comes from free markets, private property, and sound money will be more likely to believe the socialist delusion that the key to prosperity is surrendering our liberty to politicians.

The lack of education in basic economics is why many confuse our current economic system with the free market and thus blame capitalism for problems caused by the government. This lack of education also allows President Trump to get away with denouncing socialism while taking at least partial control of private companies, a policy right out of the socialist handbook.

One factor in the decline of knowledge about American history, sound economics, and the principles the American republic is the neglect of history and civics education. The federal government insists that government schools focus on preparing children for mandated reading tests, as well as emphasize science and technology education. Teaching reading, math, and science is important, but that does not justify neglecting history and economics.

An independent review has confirmed what many long suspected: Bill Gates and senior figures at his foundation met with Jeffrey Epstein roughly 30 times between 2011 and 2014, brushing aside repeated internal warnings about the reputational and ethical risks of associating with a man already convicted of sex crimes involving a minor.

The findings, released by the Gates Foundation after a months-long external examination by the law firm WilmerHale, show that foundation staff "raised on multiple occasions the risks of associating with Epstein because of his prior conviction," and that those concerns reached senior leadership, including Gates himself.

Gates was aware of the reputational issues tied to Epstein's 2008 conviction and sentencing when the conversations began in 2011. Meetings took place on the foundation's campus and at Epstein's Manhattan residence. Interactions centered on potential philanthropy ideas that never materialized and ended by December 2014.

The review found no evidence that the foundation paid Epstein, no evidence of knowledge or participation in his sex-trafficking operations, and no evidence the meetings involved illegal conduct.

Yet the sheer volume of contact, combined with documented staff alarms that went unheeded, underscores a pattern of elite indifference that has defined the Epstein saga from the start.

Gates Foundation CEO Mark Suzman commissioned the review in March 2026 with support from Gates and independent board members. WilmerHale conducted more than 50 interviews and reviewed foundation records.

In a statement, Suzman said the work "depends on integrity and earning and maintaining the trust of partners" and that the foundation is moving forward with board-approved steps to strengthen vetting, risk management, and accountability.

Gates himself stated: "Completing this review is an important step in providing the clarity that partners, employees, and grantees deserve as well as strengthening our oversight with additional policies going forward."

The board approved new processes for centralized vetting of intermediaries, escalation of risks introduced by leadership, clearer dual-role rules, and tighter conflict-of-interest policies.

Notably, the review did not examine Gates's personal emails or communications from his private office - a limitation disclosed in a footnote that leaves significant territory unexamined.

This latest disclosure lands amid a broader reckoning that has already forced Gates into congressional testimony and exposed layers of previous denials.

For years the Microsoft co-founder insisted his contacts with Epstein were limited and regrettable.

In 2019 he admitted the meetings were a mistake, saying he had given Epstein "some benefit by the association" after the financier's conviction for soliciting a minor.

"My doing that was a mistake," Gates said at the time. "None of that money ever appeared, and I gave him some benefit by the association, so I made a doubly wrong mistake there."

That measured language has long contrasted with Gates's visible discomfort whenever the subject arises. In one 2021 interview he snapped "He's dead!" when pressed.

In a later appearance he insisted "There never was any relationship of any kind," then offered an odd smile while repeating that he "shouldn't have had dinners with him" for the "over 100th time."

The February 2026 release of millions of Epstein files intensified the pressure. Documents included draft emails in which Epstein alleged Gates had contracted a sexually transmitted infection after encounters with Russian women and contemplated secretly medicating his then-wife Melinda.

A Gates spokesperson dismissed the claims as "absolutely absurd and completely false." Melinda French Gates, speaking on NPR's Wild Card podcast, did not contest the specifics.

She described "unbelievable sadness" and said the revelations contributed to the end of their marriage and her departure from the foundation. "They need to answer to those things, not me," she stated. "And I am so happy to be away from all the muck."

The files also contained a 2011 email from Hollywood producer Barry Josephson to Epstein referencing a question Epstein had posed to Gates: "How do we get rid of poor people as a whole?"

Josephson claimed to have "an answer." The exchange then shifted to discussing a 16-year-old relative of Epstein's for a film project. The document does not record Gates's response, but it sat alongside the foundation's documented meetings during the same period.

Even liberal media turned. On The View, hosts mocked Gates's denials. Joy Behar ridiculed the familiar refrain "I was not on the island," noting it was hardly the only location where Epstein operated. Sunny Hostin said the Justice Department files meant Gates "should answer to it."

Lawmakers moved quickly. Rep. Nancy Mace publicly demanded a subpoena, writing that she had watched Melinda Gates's interview and immediately asked House Oversight Chairman James Comer to compel Gates's testimony.

"I have questions for Bill Gates about Epstein," Mace stated. "Nobody is above the law. Not billionaires. Not the powerful. Nobody." Comer confirmed the committee was consulting counsel and that "the odds are good" Gates would face questions under oath, noting bipartisan interest on the panel.

Gates ultimately sat for a transcribed interview with the Oversight Committee in June 2026.

He told lawmakers he "never witnessed nor had any indication" Epstein was engaged in ongoing criminal conduct, described the association as a "grave error in judgment," and acknowledged he may have been in the presence of victims.

He has also said he was "quite stupid" to spend time with Epstein, believing it would advance global health philanthropy when it did not.

The foundation's new review arrives as other strands of the Epstein network continue to fray under scrutiny. This week French model scout Daniel Siad, whose name appeared more than 2,000 times in the released files and who arranged introductions of young women to Epstein for over a decade, was found dead at his home near Paris.

An autopsy has been ordered. Siad is the second French modeling figure linked to Epstein to die before facing trial; Jean-Luc Brunel was found hanged in a Paris prison cell in 2022. Prosecutors say the broader trafficking investigation continues without him.

Meanwhile, former New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas has detailed how federal prosecutors in 2019 persuaded his office to halt its probe of Epstein's Zorro Ranch in exchange for a promise to return state-related materials once the federal case concluded.

That promise was never kept. Current New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez has waited more than 130 days for unredacted files while agents recently searched the property for possible remains.

Balderas said the Justice Department "burned" his office and is now burning the current one.

The pattern is consistent. Warnings are ignored. Evidence is withheld. Associates exit the stage under opaque circumstances. Powerful figures issue carefully lawyered statements of regret while the machinery of accountability moves slowly, if at all.

The Gates Foundation review closes one chapter with institutional reforms and a finding of no direct criminal knowledge. It does not erase the documented decision to meet a convicted sex offender nearly thirty times after staff raised alarms, nor does it resolve the unanswered questions that still surround the broader network of influence, money, and protection that allowed Epstein to operate for so long.
