permaculture using bullrushes and duck weed

This video is surprisingly well worth watching because the operator has integrated both duckweed and bull rushes into his small farm operation.  The duckweed is raked up every day into a bucket to mix with the pig ration.  This can turn into a commercial enterprise integrated with a pond biology.  In his case he has four acres of wetland easily converted nto an extensive canal and wetland  bull rush growing operation.

Even better he uses  rotational grazing with the pigs on the bull rushes.  works wonderfully as they go after the tubers as well

All this can be applied in the boreal forest in particular.  This is definately a step forward and strongly suggests a viable market for duckweed in particular.
