Mike Benz: It’s the first election in 6 years where Lula doesn’t have tens of millions of USAID dollars…

The diversion of USA Foreign Aid still goes unpunished and the corruption involved is disclosed and apaulling.

blatant corruption has become a serious drag on every system of governance we have out there.

We need to second an expanded RCMP to act internationally as federal oversight force to a number of countries.  NSA Comms Intel could make this possible for a truly independent agency like bthe RCMP.

Mike Benz: It’s the first election in 6 years where Lula doesn’t have tens of millions of USAID dollars…

October 6, 2026 (2 days ago)

Brazil just delivered one of the biggest political shocks in Latin America… in the world, maybe. It was a humdinger.

Flavio Bolsonaro stomped the critics and beat expectations in the first round of Brazil’s presidential election, beating Lula and heading into the runoff with the Brazilian right feeling more confident than ever.

And Mike Benz thinks there’s a very important piece of this story that the mainstream media won’t touch with a 10-foot pole.

Money.

More specifically, American money.

Benz has spent years digging into USAID, the State Department, censorship networks, NGOs, and what he calls the sprawling American “soft power” machine operating inside foreign countries… and he says that Brazil has been one of his biggest case studies yet.

But Benz didn’t just wake up on Monday and decide USAID had something to do with Brazilian politics.

He’s been hammering this issue for years now.

Back in April 2025, Benz told his followers that he had delivered a five-hour presentation to the Brazilian Congress laying out what he described as USAID’s role in building Brazil’s censorship infrastructure.

And then came the money… lots and lots of money.

Benz said there was a massive jump in US spending in Brazil right after Jair Bolsonaro won the 2018 election.

He said funding rose from roughly $32 million in 2018 to nearly $69 million in 2019.

But it later went up to more than $87 million during Bolsonaro’s term.

Here’s a closeup of the images. Mike shared:

He says the surge funded the organizations, political infrastructure, censorship programs, and activist networks that helped box in Bolsonaro.

And censorship is where things really start getting mucked up.

In June 2025, Benz laid out what happened during Brazil’s sketchy 2022 election and called it one of the best examples of the US government using social media control to shape foreign politics and elections.

He says that by the time Brazilians voted in 2022, the Bolsonaro smear campaign was a lot like the one waged against Trump… it went way beyond typical political opposition stuff.

He says there’s an ecosystem that involves the State Department, USAID, American-funded NGOs, social-media censorship, encrypted messaging platforms, and the new “misinformation” rules, and of course Brazil’s shady courts.

So, the long and short of it is that Bolsonaro wasn’t just running against Lula…

He was running against a massive machine that decided his populist movement was a code red threat.

And he’s not the only person who’s connected USAID funding to Brazil.

USAID RIGGED BRAZIL’S ELECTIONS AND CALLED IT “AID”

USAID didn’t just send aid to Brazil—it funded censorship, backed left-wing activists, and helped rig the 2022 election against Bolsonaro.

Ex-State Department official Mike Benz exposed how the agency ran a “holy war on censorship,” targeting Bolsonaro supporters and suppressing their content online.

Millions flowed to NGOs pushing leftist narratives, including the Felipe Neto Institute, which received U.S. funding while Bolsonaro allies were deplatformed.

USAID also bankrolled Amazon-based activist groups, financed media campaigns designed to manipulate public opinion, and funneled money into Brazilian organizations that pushed for stricter internet regulations.

This wasn’t aid—it was election interference disguised as democracy promotion.

USAID used American tax dollars to decide Brazil’s future, and it likely did similar things in many other countries—all with American taxpayer money.

Another post making the rounds recently puts the Brazil funding at roughly $154 million between 2020 and 2024, with a huge chunk of that flowing through NGOs and so-called “research initiatives.”

However much money USAID shoveled into Brazil’s political system, that world has now changed dramatically under President Trump. He dismantled the agency and ended the gravy train.

So now, the old foreign-aid machine isn’t operating the way it was during Bolsonaro’s first presidency.

And now, suddenly, Bolsonaro’s movement is roaring back.

Go figure.

The timing is pretty remarkable, because Flavio Bolsonaro did what many thought was impossible… he won the first round, and his party surged across the entire country.

And all of a sudden, the entire political landscape is leaning real heavy to the right.

Flavio Bolsonaro wildly outperformed expectations, but like we said earlier, the entire political world around him has moved right.

The candidates who were eliminated after the first round were from the right. And that’s why Lula has a very big math problem staring him in the face as he heads into the runoff.

And like we told you, Brazil’s Congress is making a huge right turn too.

Bolsonaro’s party is on their way to holding more power in the Senate than any Brazilian party has done in decades.

And just look what happens when US taxpayers aren’t footing the bill so the Deep State can steal elections.
