3 gorges concerns

I do not think that hte 3 Gorges will fail anytime soon.  Yet concern is necessary.  It is not bullet proof.  This item provides a litany of the corruption involved when it was built.  It is well worth watching again or for a first time.

We all expect this level of nonsense.  How harmful can it be is the question.

My own concern is that this is the largest structure of its kind.  This means we have reached out beyond our known proofs of concept.  Not by much, but that of course is all she takes when testing real limits.

Add in that real movement of the whole structure has been observed.  That should scare you.  The centre of gravity is changing.  Technically this COM is surely rotated against the mass of water as a design feature.  Maximum pressure should cause a small shift against the water.

That still leaves the concern of any potential cement block failure. Is  the concrete good?
