Step by step we are going there.  Trump declared a trade war against hte whole world in such a way that it acted as an economic forcing event.  The world is responding to this pressure and in fact uniting around this global response.  The purpose of this response is to end USA trade agression as a permanent state.

what is naturally eliminated is what i will call fair trade arrangements to the long term disadvantage of the USA.  This will devestate the entire USA economy and it will take decades to undo the impressed damage.  And WAR will not be bailing anything out this time around.  All that activity is been captured elsewhere as well.

I do not want to get buried in the details, but we are already seeing its shape in the canadoan response.

Transition of aluminium sales to the EU  > Future shift of all advanced manufacturing from the USA to the St Laurence valley. .>  Shift of 8,000,000 USA families to Canada.

I can list other lesser dependancies and their consequnces but that one alone makes it clear that this is a knife fight  This is exactly why i understood immediately just how wrong headed this trade war was.  You never start a trade war with a country that is the lowest cost producer of knives.

understand two things.  Canada winning is global winning and all aimed at is preducing American trade optons.

This truly cannot hold because it can and will induce a USA Depression so long as this posture holds.

.The solution is not perfect, but must start with complete elimination of the tariff framework followed by a year of trade recovery.  This is capitulation and should include from a new administration, a detailed apology.  Trumps departure is possibly two years away and he has shown no capacity himself to end this at a time that his mental fitness is also in question
