A lot of promise here but surely early days. The promise of the EV took us a 25 years to actualize. This could easily take as long.
It does look so far like a butler and that may well be good enough. Certainly compatible with a design home.
Otherwise ag robotics will best be full metal to fend off operational abuse.while been dirt cheap. How about a drone able to pick apples or cherries on full grown trees. i like that and it means healthy harvestable stems as well.
Poland Clone Robotics Make Liquid Muscled Synthetic Copy of the Human Body
February 24, 2025
by Brian Wang
Clone Robotics made the Protoclone which is a faceless, anatomically accurate, synthetic human with over 200 degrees of freedom, over 1,000 Myofibers, and over 200 sensors.
This is pretty much like the synthetic androids in the movie Alien and other science fiction movies, anime and books.
The cost of the Clone Alpha robot by Clone Robotics, a Polish company specializing in humanoid robotics, is approximately $20,000.
Clone Robotics has not yet publicly demonstrated a fully functional Clone Alpha robot. While individual components and prototypes have been shown, A complete, working humanoid remains to be proven. Production is set to begin in 2025, and the company has attracted top talent, like the co-founder of NVIDIA’s Isaac Gym. They seem like the a real tech company pushing AI and robotics.
Clone Robotics has made significant advancements in biomimetic robotics, focusing on designing robots that closely replicate human anatomy. The Clone Alpha robot features several innovative systems:
Synthetic Organ Systems: The robot mimics human skeletal, muscular, vascular, and nervous systems.
Muscular System: Utilizes Myofiber technology, which consists of water-powered artificial muscles.
These muscles:
Can contract 30% faster than human muscles.
Have a response time under 50 milliseconds.
Are attached to a skeletal structure with 206 bones and fully articulated joints, providing 164 degrees of freedom in the upper torso alone.
Nervous System: Equipped with:
70 inertial sensors.
320 pressure sensors.
4 depth cameras.
All integrated with NVIDIA’s Jetson Thor GPU for real-time processing.
Clone is manufacturing only 279 units of the limited edition Clone Alpha. These are muscuskeletal androids designed for the home with the Telekinesis training platform to attempt to teach the Clone new skills.
