Deurbanization

Deurbanization

Understand that we have around 60,000,000 square miles of surface land on Earth.  We know that a square mile can actually support 1000 folks sustainably.  We rarely come close to doing this although the rise of permaculture is tasked with getting there.

what i am trying to share is that sustainably supporting sixty billion people is certainly feasible and only a modest fraction will actually be engaged.  The rest will serve each other as we experience today.  This is the true absurdity of the depopulation meme been peddled.

Central to all this is establishing a working habitat on every square mile of one thousand folks.  This can be imagined as a four condo tower complex on a crossroad.  All this is conducive to installing all useful aspects of modernity to hand.in the same construct.  Better yet, any township will have a population of 100,000 which readily supports almost all specialties as well.

In this way, maximal husbandry can be imagined and applied.  This means the wild can be directly monitored and managed which will soon become necessary.

We are used to our temperate biome.  The whole boreal biome is also open to optimization as we have long investigated here.

Water making will open up all the drylands everywhere.  That is already happening through restoration of past best practice.

Then there is the tropics, never fully optimized except rarely in Terra Preta lands for example and rice paddies and growing taro..

I am limiting myself to a thousand folk because we want to optimize the agriculture as well.

And no provision at all for sea steading and the construction of underground refugia that can also be equally self sustaining.

Right now a city provides a massive sometime audience for a rock show.  The rest is not so significant anymore.
