I am going to shock mathematicians and physicists with the following statement, said many times but not understood outside this small circle of thinkers and not even then.
The inverse of Mathematical infinity as the varible goes to infinity is DEFINED as zero. Makes real problems go away in theoretical math research.
The inverse of Empirical infinity as the variable goes to empirical infinity is NOT zero. This is hugely important and rather obviously when we look out into the universe and we see massive numbers of galaxies all individual acts of creation back in time but still constrained by 3D motion while their photon production fills all space for us to see.
LPPF here tells us how their creative effort is informed by visual intuityion which is why i have followed them for so long. I see it is right.

As described on their website “Periastra is a hybrid exhibition where artists and astrophysicists are invited to share each others' modes of exploring the world of celestial phenomena. Often thought of as mutually exclusive, there are sometimes surprising similarities in terms of the aspiration and expression of curiosity. The participants in this show have been identified through their interest in crossing this boundary and the result is an intriguing and visually rich interpretation of each others' fields of research. “
LPPFusion part in the exhibition describes how key concepts in our fusion work were derived from research in astrophysics and includes video from our lab projected life-size on the gallery wall, creating the illusion that the lab is an extension of the gallery.
The exhibition is free and runs from today, Feb.3 to Feb 13.
