Wireless ultrasonic knife glides through most things like butter




I am a touch skeptical here because the idea is good, but their lack of tested materials is troubling.

40,000 vibrations per second screams 40,000 windings and a serious design constraint.

Then what is contacting the material.  So far i see something cutting plastic.

This is a long lasting intractible problem specific to every combination of cutter and material.  It has been attended to since we flaked obsidion.   I might be more keen if i saw it cutting glass.

Legislation Submitted to Get Commercial Space Transportation Approvals Out of the FAA

 



It has to be this way.  All commercial craft will be drone style heavy lifters able to launch at up to six gs at least and leaping halfway around the earth in an hour.  No human lives involved or ever planned until years of operational success.

And just who wants to be launched a six gs?  It already is working and we need to get on with it.  Those thirty engines can be set out in a larger ring shell to increase the casing to hold ten times the original volume.  Many more engines can also be added.

And suddenly we are lifting 70 tons already and expansion can take this to a 1000 tons using a ten fold volume expansion.  The best design approach is the one which is working and launch and crash works well..

Sending 68 tons from India to New york every day  in two hours is potentially very useful.

This is full speed ahead and no one can catch us.

Rep. Kiley has introduced legislation to make the Office of Commercial Space Transportation report directly to the Secretary of Transportation. This comes after Rep. Kiley questioned Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Administrator Michael Whitaker before the Aviation Subcommittee with respect to the FAA’s decisions with SpaceX launches in September.



The bill streamlines the oversight process by moving the Office of Commercial Space Transportation (AST) out from under the FAA and requiring AST to report directly to the Secretary of Transportation. This eliminates the middleman in the reporting process and enables AST to keep pace with a rapidly growing industry.

Marc Andreessen, the billionaire investor and co-founder of the influential Silicon Valley venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, revealed in a new episode of Joe Rogan's podcast that after an "alarming" meeting with Biden administration officials earlier this year was the moment he would have no other choice but to support Donald Trump.

For decades, Andreessen has supported Democrats, including Bill Clinton, Al Gore, John Kerry, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton. However, a troubling spring meeting with Biden administration officials caused major concerns. During the meeting, officials explained their plan to control AI through government regulatory capture—a strategy reminiscent of Communist policies in China.


"We had meetings [Biden officials] this spring that were the most alarming meetings I've ever been in. 

Where they were taking us through their plans, and it was - basically just full government - full government control - like this sort of thing, there will be a small number of large companies that will be completely regulated and controlled by the government, they told us. They said don't even start startups - there's just no way that they can succeed - there's no way that we're going to permit that to happen."

In mid-July, Axios reported that Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz had donated to President-elect Trump's campaign. At the time, their support was attributed to Trump's pro stance on crypto and AI regulation. It's another telling example of just how far-left Democrats in the White House spooked Silicon Valley heavy hitters, such as Elon Musk.

Back to the podcast, Rogan asked Andreessen: "When you leave a meeting like that, what do you do?"

Andreessen responded: "You endorse Donald Trump."

The contents of 200-million-year-old faeces and vomit are helping show how dinosaurs took over the world at the start of the Jurassic Period.

Well-preserved plants, bones, fish parts and even whole insects embedded in widely varying shapes and sizes of ancient animal droppings suggest that dinosaurs’ broad diets made them survivors in a changing ecosystem, compared with other groups of animals. That then led them to grow larger and ultimately establish their “dynasty on land”, says Martin Qvarnström at the University of Uppsala, Sweden.






Fossil evidence shows that the first dinosaurs – marked notably by hip joints that position the legs under the body like mammals, rather than sprawled out to the sides like lizards – appeared more than 230 million years ago during the Triassic Period. For tens of millions of years, these early dinosaurs blended into a landscape filled with many other kinds of reptiles. By about 200 million years ago, however, dinosaurs had essentially taken over the planet, while most other reptiles disappeared during the end-Triassic extinction at around that time.

What led to this domination has remained somewhat mysterious. Qvarnström and his colleagues suspected they might find significant clues hidden in bromalites – fossilised stool and vomit – from dinosaurs and other animals. So they gathered 532 examples stored in the Polish Geological Institute, which prior research groups had collected between 1996 and 2017 from eight sites in Poland.

The team estimated the age of each bromalite based on the layer of sediment it was found in and then used its size – ranging from a few millimetres to “pretty substantial faecal masses” – and shape to match it to the animal that probably produced it. The researchers then 3D scanned the fossils to explore their contents. “We realised that they’re packed with food remains,” says Qvarnström.

Combined with known fossil records and past climate information, the researchers determined that the rise of dinosaurs occurred in several distinct steps. First, omnivorous ancestors of early dinosaurs started outnumbering the non-dinosaurs. Then, they evolved into the first meat-eating and plant-eating dinosaurs.

At that point, an increase in volcanic eruptions and shifts in tectonic plates led to flooding and the development of waterways. The resulting humidity and related changes in the climate seem to have triggered a greater range of plants, leading to the evolution of bigger and more diverse herbivore dinosaurs. Meanwhile, non-dinosaurs – like the 1-tonne, plant-eating dicynodont Lisowicia, whose faeces contained mainly conifer remains – were less able to adapt to the changing variety of vegetation.

As the herbivore dinosaurs grew bigger, so did their predators. When large carnivorous dinosaurs started to appear by the beginning of the Jurassic Period – about 30 million years after the first dinosaurs emerged – the transition to a dinosaur-dominated world was complete, says Qvarnström.




“The study shows how climate mainly affected the dominant plants, which in turn gave opportunities for new herbivores at certain points,” says Michael Benton at the University of Bristol, UK, who wasn’t involved in the study.

Although it is hard to be sure that the researchers matched the droppings to the right animals, the findings nonetheless support earlier work from South America suggesting that dinosaur species were already significantly expanding prior to major climate change, he says. “But it took the end-Triassic mass extinction to put in place the final steps of the takeover.”

For Emma Dunne at Friedrich-Alexander University in Germany, the study helps answer long-standing questions about the rise of dinosaurs. “It’s not every day that you see fossil poop in such a high-impact journal,” says Dunne, who didn’t participate in the research. “It’s obviously funny, but it’s also really useful for understanding prehistoric environments. So if you think of early dinosaur evolution as kind of a jigsaw puzzle with missing pieces, it’s just thrown a huge chunk of new pieces in there.”

The Mainstream Media has died from a terminal case of TDS combined with an aggressive infection of the woke-mind virus. The MSM, as it was nicknamed by its critics, was first diagnosed with TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) in 2016 when it couldn’t accept that Donald Trump won the presidency, beating the projected winner and war criminal Hillary Clinton. Critics of the MSM say that the slow painful death was both ‘deserving’ and ‘a long time coming.’

Starting in the 1920s with broadcast radio, the MSM grew into a respected and trusted source of news and information during the Golden Age of television in the 1950s, thanks to luminaries such as broadcast journalists Edward R. Murrow, Walter Cronkite, and Fred Friendly. Remembered fondly for giving a voice to the voiceless and holding truth to power it later devolved into The View’s Joy Behar lecturing her viewers about vaccines and dragons.

Tuning into the Manosphere

The death of the MSM was widely celebrated in the podcast and alternative media world. Dragon believer and podcaster Joe Rogan said: “It’s so possible that something that flew like a pterodactyl, like we think of pterodactyls as being like bat wings, maybe they had feathers, maybe that was a gigantic predatory bird and maybe some of those things looked like dragons.” He also once murdered CNN Medical Expert Dr. Sanjay Gupta on his podcast.

Rogan’s unlikely ascent from comedy podcaster to un-cancellable media empire of one boils down to the fact that Rogan, untrained in journalism or broadcasting, had a quality that the MSM had forgotten, the ability to listen. Rogan and others like him such as the Nelk Boys, Theo Von, Candace Owens, Adin Ross, and the even edgier James Evan Pilato never shied away from entertaining alternative views and perspectives and interviewing sources the MSM labeled ‘dangerous’ such as Robert F. Kennedy Jr, Yeonmi Park and Jordan B. Peterson and even, yes, Donald J. Trump.

The tell-tale signs of TDS had been obvious to viewers for years. Bias, left-wing activism, and elites talking to themselves were all hallmarks of the disease that led to the MSM actually being beaten in the ratings by the Hallmark channel itself. Some TV viewers say that TDS was only part of the health issues MSM was suffering from and that they were in fact the ones who pulled the plug when they cut the cord from cable in favor of alternative Internet media.

The shifting nature of viewing habits may also have played a part in viewers no longer sitting down with the 6 o’clock news. Podcasts and YouTube videos have given consumers the choice to watch or listen to information at their own time, while washing the dishes, going for a walk, or even taking a dump.

With trust in media at an all time low due to its lies over COVID, drag time story hour, the popularity of Kamala Harris, immigration and the economy, it was Tesla founder Elon Musk who gave an eclectic boost of life to free speech when he bought Twitter in 2022. It was Musk who allowed Substack journalist Matt Taibbi to expose Twitter’s secret internal files, proving the cover up of media manipulation by the government, public institutions, and even the FBI.

The famous marketing slogan about how a diamond is forever may only be a slight exaggeration for a diamond-based system capable of storing information for millions of years – and now researchers have created one with a record-breaking storage density of 1.85 terabytes per cubic centimetre.

Previous techniques have also used laser pulses to encode data into diamonds, but the higher storage density afforded by the new method means a diamond optical disc with the same volume as a standard Blu-ray could store approximately 100 terabytes of data – the equivalent of about 2000 Blu-rays – while lasting far longer than a typical Blu-ray’s lifetime of just a few decades.

“Once the internal data storage structures are stabilised using our technology, diamond can achieve extraordinary longevity – data retention for millions of years at room temperature – without requiring any maintenance,” says Ya Wang at the University of Science and Technology of China in Hefei.





Wang and his colleagues worked with small pieces of diamond only a few millimetres long, although they say future versions of the system could be in the form of larger storage discs. Their method used ultrafast laser pulses to knock some of a diamond’s carbon atoms out of place, leaving behind empty spaces the size of single atoms that each exhibited a stable brightness level.

By controlling the energy of the laser, the researchers could make multiple empty spaces at specific sites within the diamond, and the density of those spaces influenced each site’s overall brightness. “The number of empty spaces can be determined by looking at the brightness, which allows us to read the stored information,” says Wang.


The team then stored images – including Eadweard Muybridge’s 1878 sequence of photos showing a rider on a galloping horse – by mapping the brightness of each pixel to the brightness levels of specific sites inside the diamond. The system saved this data with more than 99 per cent accuracy and completeness.

This storage method isn’t yet commercially viable because it requires expensive lasers and high-speed fluorescence imaging cameras, along with other devices, says Wang. But he and his colleagues expect that their diamond-based system could eventually be miniaturised to fit within a space the size of a microwave oven.

“In the short term, government agencies, research institutes and libraries focused on archiving and data preservation would likely be eager to adopt this technology,” he says.





This is a good review and update of the problems and challenges facing the aquaculture industry.  Otherwise ignore the bias.  The first problem ignored by everyone is that the wild catch has steadily declined as a delivered fraction of our seafood intake.

Fact is that the wild catch cannot ever deliver enough product and should not.  As well habitat restoration and augmentation has really only begun.  We are now removing dams.

augmentation also properly combines wilderness husbandry with agriculture. Imagine the Maitland river basin in Midwest Ontario supporting a full beaver population and a Pacific Northwest Biome.  All the salmon species have already been introduced to the great lakes..

now imagine all this totally penetrating our boreal forest.  After all, our boreal forest is a mere 10,000 years old and barely evolved while the Pacific Northwest rotates into Alaska and is millions of years old.

Essentially Salmon aquaculture did not ex8st in my lifetime.  It is slowly getting better.  It will get infinitely batter as we add centuries of husbandry.



The Farmed-Fishing Disaster

Problems in the Tank


In the 21st century, wild fish are are being replaced with farmed fish, as livestock, in the aquaculture industry.

However, the growth of aquaculture has come at the expense of the environment and the health of the fish. This results in the potential for major disease problems and food safety issues, according to a 2022 article in Frontiers Immunology.

As livestock, fish succumb to the same synthetic treatments as other commercial livestock. According to MDPI, a member of the United Nations Global Compact, in the name of Sustainability: vaccines have a significant role in managing live stocks.

Vaccines have been applied as “preventive measures” in fish to reduce the chance of diseases such as rabies, as well as parasitic and bacterial pathogens, which occur as part of the commercial farming process. Rabies in fish? [That is another fish story for another time]. Meanwhile…


Salmon farms, consequently, are ideal incubators for parasites and infectious diseases that are then spread to adjacent farms and to wild fish. These outbreaks are impossible to quarantine; mass escapes from salmon farms and the normal flow of tides and currents spread diseases and parasites to other fish over very wide areas.

Even though fish are not of the animal kingdom, fish vaccines are delivered in the same way as warm-blooded animals. If we investigate all modes and vectors of disease transmission then we can also say that disease-causing pathogens may also be introduced through live-attenuated vaccines.

The $20-billion-a-year farmed salmon industry is the world’s fastest growing food producer, and it has made farmed Atlantic salmon the most popular fish on dinner tables North America. But at what cost?


As early as 2004, scientists found levels of polychlorinated biphenyls, a probable carcinogen known as PCBs, seven times higher in farmed Atlantic salmon than in wild salmon. In addition:


Untreated waste from excess feed, decomposing fish, excrement, and chemical residue forms a toxic stew that kills or drives away marine life for hundreds of yards.

The management of farmed fish includes antibiotics, probiotics, injectable vaccines, breeding maintenance, nano-based drugs, and edible vaccines, all with monitoring requirements. Of course, disease resistant mutant strains result from antibiotic treatments. Hence, the vaccine program. When it comes to drug use in global aquatic products:


Long-term use of chemical inputs not only increases pathogenic bacteria resistance but also damages the fish and aquaculture environments, resulting in drug residues in aquatic products.


Disaster in the Making

In 2021, 81,000 fish escaped from an open-pen fish farm in Norway. In 2023, thousands of fish escaped an Icelandic farm. Escapees have been found in at least 32 rivers across north-west Iceland, many covered in deadly sea lice, lethal to wild fish. Escapees also breed with wild fish to cause wild fish declines.

A 2012-2022 study determined that 865 million farmed salmon have died in mass die-offs in the last decade due to aquaculture practices and technologies.

It’s the same old fish story, replayed over and over. When any life form is placed in crowded unsanitary conditions, and genetically modified, it becomes a pre-medicated disaster, for generations to come.

In today’s fish-eat-fish world, you either take or you get taken.” Productivity runs economies! The result? Wild caught fish are harder and harder to find. Thus, commercially-farmed, diseased fish will be served up at restaurants, and at home until none are left.

A Medley of Injectables


If you’ve ever had tetras in your aquarium, you have supported the Glofish industry of genetically modified fish injected with florescent dyes. Glofish are one symptom of an injectable aquaculture. If you are a Koi Hobbyist, you will be told to inject vaccines. Whether injected with dyes, dipped in chemicals, or tattooed, the fish have not given their permission to painfully modify their body. To reduce death by dyeing, simply avoid purchasing modified fish.

The aquaculture industry is suffering significant financial losses as a result of the worsening water quality and increasing frequency of aquatic disease outbreaks caused by the expansion of aquaculture. However, vaccination, is still the answer.

According to a review of aquaculture vaccine technologies, old technologies of killed and live-attenuated vaccines, are being replaced with a new generation of recombinant, synthetic peptides, mucosal vaccines, subunit, DNA and RNA vaccines, nanoparticle-based and plant based edible vaccines, reverse vaccinology, and monovalent and polyvalent vaccines.
Parasites in Farmed Fish


Farmed salmon are bred to grow fast in cages so crammed that they are rife with parasites and disease. The fish eat pellets of fishmeal, vegetables, and animal byproducts; they are doused regularly with pesticides and antibiotics. – Time Magazine, July 2022


Do not assume that just because the fish are vaccinated that parasites do not still live on or in their slippery bodies. Conditions of overcrowding and poor sanitation have always been indicators of disease and infection in farmed animals, even in organically-farmed pork. In this way, the spironucleosis parasite can infest farmed fish through the freshwater source in hatcheries:


The parasite has been detected in wild salmonids living in freshwater that is used as a water source for hatcheries, which therefore represents a potential source of infection that we must try to control. — Lill-Heidi Johansen, scientist and project manager at Nofima.

While parasites (in the larval stage) can be eaten in uncooked, or undercooked, unfrozen wild seafood, they are also present a human health hazard in cooked farmed fish.


Salmon farms harbor two especially virulent parasites: sea lice and kudoa (soft-flesh syndrome). Sea lice infestations have been reported by operators in Canada, Norway, Scotland, and Ireland. – Pure Salmon Campaign

If you dine only on wild caught fish, be aware that parasites found among wild caught species are the nematodes or roundworms: (Anisakis spp., Pseudoterranova spp., Eustrongylides spp. and Gnathostoma spp.), cestodes or tapeworms (Diphyllobothrium spp.) and trematodes or flukes (Chlonorchis sinensis, Opisthorchis spp., Heterophyes spp., Metagonimus spp., Nanophyetes salminicola and Paragonimus spp.).




Farmed fish may be more resistant to the anasakis parasite infection. But, that is only one parasite studied. As always, more studies are needed.

Not long ago, wild Atlantic salmon were an abundant species, living free. Today, they are an endangered species, gone from most rivers in the U.S.. Claims made by farmers that their fish are sustainable and natural are deceptive. Most consumers rarely have enough information to go on.


Up to 85 percent of the salmon we eat is imported from farms along the coasts of Norway, Chile, Scotland, and Canada. Yet the Food and Drug Administration, which is responsible for food safety, pays scant attention to farmed salmon at a time when food-borne pathogens are on the increase. —Time Magazine, July 2020

According to the book, Salmon Wars: The Dark Underbelly of Our Favorite Fish, a single meal per month of farmed Atlantic salmon can expose consumers to contaminant levels exceeding standards from the World Health Organization. The risk is greatest for infants, children, and pregnant women. The authors, in their article, 3 Reasons to Avoid Farmed Salmon, suggest “farmed Atlantic salmon from open-net pens is off our menu and should be off yours.”

President-elect Donald Trump announced on Nov. 19 that he will nominate famed television personality Dr. Mehmet Oz as administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
CMS has approximately 6,700 employees, according to the agency, which started in 1977. There are 12.5 million people who receive both Medicare and Medicaid, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation.

In a statement, Trump cited Oz’s work as a physician and heart surgeon, among other talents. He also noted Oz being an alum of Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and Wharton Business School, the latter of which Trump is an alum.

Trump also mentioned that Oz was a professor of cardiothoracic surgery at Columbia University.



Trump said Oz will “work closely” with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., his nominee for Health and Human Services secretary, “to take on the illness industrial complex, and all the horrible chronic diseases left in its wake.”

The president-elect said Oz will also be tasked with cutting waste and fraud in the agency, which he said makes up “a third of our Nation’s Healthcare spend, and a quarter of our entire national budget.”


In a statement to media outlets, Trump said Oz will incentivize disease prevention “so we get the best results in the world for every dollar we spend on healthcare in our great country.”

Oz was the host of “The Dr. Oz Show” between 2009 and 2022. The show won nine Daytime Emmy Awards.

Oz, who is of Turkish descent, was the GOP nominee in Pennsylvania for U.S. Senate in 2022, losing to Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.). Oz was endorsed by Trump.

Trump’s CMS administrator during his first term was Seema Verma, who is known for pushing for the repeal of Obamacare. The GOP failed to do so.

CMS administrator is not part of the Cabinet, but it requires Senate confirmation.

What we have is super hot with a working water component.  for both Earth and Mars.

For some reason Venus lacks water while the rock is super hot.  We need to bombard mars with comets to deliver ample water.  This should induce heat radiation and establish a cap of rotting rock holding water.

If Venus is hollow. it may also be internally dry as well.  Or simply the water is unable to break out to the surface.  After all alternative sources tell us it is good there.  just saying, but if all our planets are incubation eggs, then all becomes plausible.

There was water on Mars as early as 4.45 billion years ago, just a short time after the planet formed from the leftover dust of the growing Sun.

The evidence? A tiny grain of zircon, smaller than the width of a human hair, with minerals trapped inside that could only have formed in the presence of water. The sting in the tail? That water had to have been hot, like hot springs, or hydrothermal vents under the ocean.


The discovery tells us several things. First, that the delivery of water to Mars during the early days of the Solar System was similar to that of Earth. Second, the presence of hot water could be consistent with the kinds of extremophile microbial life we see in geothermal and hydrothermal environments.


"The emerging picture is that early Mars and Earth had something in common – both were wet. It is known from analysis of the oldest zircons on Earth that liquid water existed by at least 4.3 billion years ago. We now have evidence for water on Mars that is even older," geologist Aaron Cavosie of Curtin University in Australia told ScienceAlert.


"The evidence for early water on Mars is consistent with the abundant evidence for water on Mars during the Noachian period, which lasted from 4.1 to 3.7 billion years ago. There is good geologic evidence for vestiges of life on Earth at this time, so why not Mars if the conditions were similar? These two planets have clearly taken different paths since then."

The water history of Mars is difficult to piece together because, well, it's all the way over at Mars, where our exploration efforts are pretty great, but limited. Every now and then, though, a piece of Mars comes to us. One of these is the famous Martian meteorite NWA 7034, or 'Black Beauty', discovered in the Sahara Desert in 2011.


NWA 7034 is a 320-gram (11.3-ounce) piece of volcanic breccia, a chunk of rock that's made up of other chunks of rock, a bit like Christmas pudding. Some of the pieces that make up the meteorite are tiny crystals of zircon – an absolute goldmine for geologists wanting to study the history of Mars, and the history of the meteorite itself.


Not long ago, scientists at Curtin University studied NWA 7034 zircon and found evidence that the chunk of rock had been smacked by a huge asteroid impact 4.45 billion years ago.


Now, researchers led by geochemist Jack Gillespie, of Curtin University at the time of the study, have taken a closer look at some of the minerals trapped inside zircon. Using nanoscale microscopy, they discovered traces of iron, yttrium, aluminum, and sodium that were caught up inside the zircon as it formed.


It took looking around a bit closer to home to figure out what the deposition process for these minerals

 must have been.

"Elements like iron, aluminum, and sodium form a series of nice layers in the Martian zircon, similar to those found in an onion. These elements are not normally found in zircon; after finding them in the Martian zircon, we turned our attention back to Earth to find what environments that form in," Cavosie explained.


"One of the few places on Earth where zircons are found with nice layers of these elements is from Olympic Dam, a giant copper, uranium, and gold deposit in South Australia. The connection is that the Olympic Dam zircons are known to have formed in a magmatic-hydrothermal system. That means hot aqueous fluids were present and interacting with the granite when the zircons were forming. These fluids delivered the unusual trace elements, and at Olympic Dam, also concentrated the economic metals."


We don't know the water temperature on Mars. It could have been anywhere from a few hundred to even more than 500 °C (932 °F), similar to the waters of Yellowstone. Nor do we know how much water there was.


But the discovery does show that there was water on Mars not long after the planets formed some 4.5 billion years ago, circulating in the planet's crust, and heated by the volcanic activity that was much more rampant when the planet was young. And this means that Mars may have been actually pretty soggy, with water delivered the same way water arrived at Earth – via comets and asteroids, and incorporated into the planet as it was forming.


"We can't say for sure if liquid water was present on the surface at this time, but we think it's possible. Some of these magmatic fluids would likely have escaped to the surface and contributed water to the atmosphere," Cavosie said.


"This means a lot of warm and wet places within, and probably on, the crust of Mars. Data like those found in our study help to better flesh out the concept of early habitable conditions based on direct analysis of materials formed at that time."

Now that the researchers have discovered evidence that hot water once existed on Mars, they can work to flesh out their findings further. We don't know whether the magmatic activity that heated the water was generated by activity inside Mars, or from the asteroid bombardment that pummeled the early Solar System, for example. We also don't know whether hydrothermal systems were prevalent on Mars.


It would be pretty incredible if there was just one ancient Martian hydrothermal system, evidence of which just happened to end up in human hands billions of years later. But NWA 7034 is already pretty incredible.


"The zircon … has a bonkers crazy survival story! It formed in a wet hydrothermal shortly after Mars came together as a planet 4.45 billion years ago, it got smacked during an early meteorite impact event and later got violently ejected to land in a pile of rock rubble, where it got buried and altered with fluids billions of years later, and then finally got smacked again by another meteorite, this time getting ejected from Mars!" Cavosie told ScienceAlert.


"Instead of heading out into the endless nether-world of space to be lost forever, it ended up crashing into Earth, where it survived being melted away to dust in our atmosphere, just to land in the Sahara desert. Somehow it didn't get buried and lost forever under a sand dune, and instead was found by someone who recognized it as an important stone.


"This rock has only been in the hands of scientists for about 10 years, and look how much it's taught us about Mars."

Physicists Just Found a Quirk in Einstein's Predictions of Space-Time


Einstein's theory does not accommodate the total number of particles in the universe and assumes this is invariant.  Both the Big Bang and my Cloud cosmology acknowledge a first act and N has been increasing ever since so looking back in TIME gives us these oddities.

In fact the RED SHIFT is also surely an artifact of N becoming larger.  Do note that this increase is increasing N as a inverse factor approaching zero..

I was thinking about N while still a teenager and understood that particle size or scale had to be linked to N itself.

Physicists Just Found a Quirk in Einstein's Predictions of Space-Time

The fabric of space and time is not exempt from the effects of gravity. Plop in a mass and space-time curves around it, not dissimilar to what happens when you put a bowling ball on a trampoline.


This dimple in space-time is the result of what we call a gravity well, and it was first described over 100 years ago by Albert Einstein's field equations in his theory of general relativity. To this day, those equations have held up. We'd love to know what Einstein was putting in his soup. Whatever it was, general relativity has remained pretty solid.


One of the ways we know this is because when light travels along that curved space-time, it curves along with it. This results in light that reaches us all warped and stretched and replicated and magnified, a phenomenon known as gravitational lensing. This quirk of space-time is not only observable and measurable, it's an excellent tool for understanding the Universe.


But a team of researchers has just found that the predicted curvature of space-time calculated using relativity does not always quite match up to what we observe, using data from the Dark Energy Survey that is currently mapping hundreds of millions of galaxies across the cosmos. That doesn't mean there's something broken – but it does suggest that there may be something out there that we haven't accounted for

.

"Until now, Dark Energy Survey data have been used to measure the distribution of matter in the Universe," explains physicist Camille Bonvin of the University of Geneva in Switzerland. "In our study, we used this data to directly measure the distortion of time and space, enabling us to compare our findings with Einstein's predictions."


The Dark Energy Survey is an international collaboration that employs a powerful optical instrument mounted on the 4-meter Victor M. Blanco Telescope at the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory in Chile. Its main mission, as the name suggests, is to study dark energy, the mysterious force that drives the accelerating expansion of the Universe.


To do this, the instrument has been surveying the Universe as deeply as it possibly can. This means that it sees light across a range of epochs, peering deep into the history of the Universe to galaxies whose light has traveled for billions of years to reach us.


Led by astronomer Isaac Tutusaus of the University of Toulouse in France, a team of researchers realized they could use this wealth of data to test the predictive power of Einstein's physical description of the Universe. They specifically measured the distortions of space-time due to gravity wells, at four distinct epochs: approximately 3.5 billion years ago, 5 billion years ago, 6 billion years ago, and 7 billion years ago.


Then, they compared these measurements to what Einstein's equations predict they should be. Interestingly, some of the measurements aligned neatly with the predictions – but not all of them.


"We discovered that in the distant past – 6 and 7 billion years ago – the depth of the wells aligns well with Einstein's predictions," Tutusaus explains. "However, closer to today, 3.5 and 5 billion years ago, they are slightly shallower than predicted by Einstein."


The discrepancy is slight, but it could be important. It could mean, for example, that gravity wells have a slower growth rate more recently in the Universe. In addition, measurements of the expansion of space-time suggest that the growth of the Universe is speeding up, and has accelerated more in the recent past.


The discrepancy could, therefore, suggest a link between the acceleration of the Universe driven by dark energy and the slow growth of gravity wells during the same epoch. More observations will need to be conducted to confirm, and add to, the team's findings.


"Our results show that Einstein's predictions have an incompatibility of 3 sigma with measurements. In the language of physics, such an incompatibility threshold arouses our interest and calls for further investigations," says physicist Natassia Grimm of the University of Geneva.


"But this incompatibility is not large enough, at this stage, to invalidate Einstein's theory. For that to happen, we would need to reach a threshold of 5 sigma. It is therefore essential to have more precise measurements to confirm or refute these initial results, and to find out whether this theory remains valid in our Universe, at very large

First off, sticking wheels under a small box is actually a terrible design concept.  The box is meant to be there for a long time and to be moved only when needed.  S0o toss the rolling stock and go with a pad technology of which we do have plenty of cheap options and even much better as well.

The boxes themselves can be moved with a flatbed and crane rig of which we now have plenty.  The box itself is easily rigged for lifting way easier than rolling stock.  An adjustment here and a simple tool  there and we can be good.

This is not hard.

The pad itself can start with a ground sheet to block moisture.  It can even by inflated to provide clearance and tight seal if you use short legs on the corners.  All this makes a sound thermal break.

This is just one throwaway build.  All this can avoid installing a gravel pad which has been the go to method.

There is no need to remove sod and leaving allows immediate site restoration.  f

Full servicing is another matter. but again a commercial site could easily build a central service in order to not disturb the soils.  At the same time these homes can use floor heating built in to maintain living temperatures.

My point here is that any field can have a designated parking lot and a hundred tiny homes with a central bathhouse and meeting space.

If we qualify the Tiny home properly, we can slack of on ground interference which is good.
