2017 Was a Year of Amazing Advances for Humanity

THis list is helpful to grasp the flood of innovation now coming out of our laboratories.  In fact we have a critical mass brought about by the advent of the internet that became truly productive early during the first decade of this century.  That reordering of talent in particular was huge and allowed for a huge expansion of meaningful effort.
A decade in and we are starting to see the floodtide associated with that.  THe work noted here is all great.
I want to note that stem cell work is now operating at the clip originally promised forty years ago.  That is huge because it means that all genetic abnormalities will be curable as quickly as this next decade.  Add in all forms of tissue replacement is also happening now.
Restoration of a living active body is in fact a pending proposition and well worth working toward rather than retirement and decay...

The end of 2017 is barely a week away. So now is the perfect time to reflect on the positive difference humanity has made to the world over the past 12 months. How have we advanced as a species?

We often underestimate the progress we make because it is incremental: an algorithm here, a genetic tweak there… but all these things combine to improve our future.

As Kevin Kelly from Wired wrote, “Ever since the Enlightenment and the invention of Science, we’ve managed to create a tiny bit more than we’ve destroyed each year… That few percent positive difference is compounded over decades into what we might call civilization… [Progress] is a self-cloaking action seen only in retrospect.”

My website, Human Progress, tracks technological, medical and scientific improvements that make the lives of ordinary people better. Here are the ones that have caught our attention in 2017, doubtless only a tiny fraction of all the advances humanity has made this year.

February 6: The age of the bionic body – from robot hands, controlled by your mind, to electronic eyeballs, experts reveal 6 medical marvels introduced by new technology.
February 6: Biologists help deaf mice hear again by inserting healthy genes into their ears – the work shows an ‘unprecedented recovery of inner ear function’ and could be used in humans.

February 10: Computers turn medical sleuths and identify skin cancer – algorithm works as reliably as board-certified dermatologists, study shows.

February 15: For the blind, an actual-reality headset – not just Star Trek fiction, a new visor from eSight is a lightweight, high-contrast vision system for legally blind people.

March 8: The robot will see you now! Chat-bots that monitor symptoms will become more accurate and quicker at spotting illness than doctors.

March 8: Scientists discover new state of matter called ‘Time Crystals’ – time crystals seemingly break the rules of normal time-keeping and potentially pave the way for quantum computers and quantum sensors.

March 10: Scientists make progress toward engineering synthetic yeast – the work brings to six the number of yeast chromosomes that now can be synthesized, according to new research.

March 15: Startup serves up chicken produced from cells in lab – ‘clean meat’ developers say it avoids towering costs of feeding, caring for livestock.

March 15: The next innovation in shipping – Wind Power; Maersk launches trial run of tanker using rotating cylinders that can function as high-tech sails.

March 18: An insect’s eye inspires a new camera for smartphones – a series of eyelets can make cameras much smaller.

March 27: Can tech speed up emergency room care? A New York hospital system tests a new way to use telemedicine, where E.R. doctors examine patients without being in the same room.

The Obama-Hezbollah Conspiracy Could Shake The "Deep State" And Latin America

It is not too surprising that radical Islamic organizations and neo fascist/ communist organizations would find common cause in their war against Western Civilization andthe USA directly.  What continues to be troubling is the level of comfort provided by Obama and his administration when any such comfort to sworn enemies is by definition Treason.

It is also strategically and tactically stupid.  Even worse than appeasing Hitler.

We also have long brewing trouble in South America.  We are seeing leaders arise there who are often good men and not really associated with the ruling class.  That is good, but they are often primatives and certainly terribly naive in terms of who they might listen to.  We saw Russia go through just that thirty years ago.

The worst idea out there is that socialism actually works.  It never has.  And Nazism is no better as it runs the same formula.

The most important idea is providing title to one's possessions andthat hasbeen made obvious, yet few are really picking up on that.

The Obama-Hezbollah Conspiracy Could Shake The "Deep State" And Latin America

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-12-26/obama-hezbollah-conspiracy-could-shake-deep-state-and-latin-america

Politico published an explosive investigative report which alleges that the Obama Administration politically interfered to obstruct a far-reaching criminal justice operation against Hezbollah in order to facilitate the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran.

The exposé is extensive and covers a wide array of purported activities over a ten-year period all across the US, Latin America, West Africa, Europe, and the Mideast, though the point of this analysis isn’t to summarize what’s contained in the report or to judge its veracity, but to interpret the significance of it being made public at this point in time. The codename given to the investigation into Hezbollah’s global economic network was “Operation Cassandra”, and it alleges to have discovered the mechanics behind the group’s self-sustaining financial ecosystem, some of which supposedly dealt with organized criminal activities such as drug trafficking and money laundering.
Politico’s bombshell wasn’t just the alleged facts that it uncovered, but the claims from some of the operation’s participants that the Obama Administration was undermining their work because it feared that taking action against Hezbollah would endanger Washington’s efforts to clinch the 2015 nuclear deal with the group’s patrons in Tehran. If true, then this would represent a major split within the American “deep state”, or permanent military, intelligence, and diplomatic bureaucracies, because it suggests that the State Department and possibly even the CIA were conspiring to subvert the law enforcement duties of the FBI and DEA on behalf of the President.

The implications behind this revelation could be enormous, and at the very least they seem to confirm Republican accusations that the Obama Administration was selling out domestic security interests in order to pursue the risky and now-failed foreign policy gambit of co-opting Iran through a tacit alliance with its ruling “moderate” elites. Seeing as how some of Obama-era “deep state” figures involved in this scandal might still be working with the government, the Trump Administration could use Politico’s report as the pretext for “cleaning house” and removing or professionally neutralizing some of its institutional opponents. It’s speculated that this is what Tillerson has been trying to do for months now, but the latest findings could add a renewed sense of impetus to his efforts.

In addition, apart from the obvious consequences that this revelation could have in further worsening American-Iranian relations and reversing the Obama-era trend towards a rapprochement, there’s another international aspect that needs to be looked at, and that’s the effect that the report will have on the US’ policy towards Latin America.

Politico alleges that “Operation Cassandra” uncovered a diverse criminal network stretching all across the hemisphere, and whether fully true or partially exaggerated, this news could be used to tighten the US’ security arrangements with its regional partners in complementing the theater-wide asymmetrical counteroffensive of “Operation Condor 2.0” that’s been ongoing ever since the 2009 coup against leftist Honduran President Manuel Zelaya.

Relatedly, the allegations of Venezuelan government complicity in Hezbollah’s trans-hemispheric conspiracy could form the basis for new sanctions against the Bolivarian Republic.

All told, this developing scandal might take a while to fully unfold, but it can still be expected to influence the course of the “deep state’s” War on Trump and the US’ policy towards Latin America to one extent or another by the time that it’s all said and done with.

Clinton operatives in FBI Manufactured RussiaGate Conspiracy

I do think that the only reasonable explanation for the activities of Robert Mueller is to completely ferret out the Clinton Conspiracy itself.  Otherwise we have been thrown nothing but crumbs and nonsense and zero in terms of meat in terms of the purported reason for the special prosecutor.  In fact is see plenty of evidence of similar dissembling all around the White House and particularly Sessions.  Old 'Let us stir them up again' with another unnecessary speech about Marijuana.  Sooner or later you wake up to the fact you are been storied when his hands are out somewhere else altogether.

The other telling aspect everyone has missed is that his staff is completely drawn from the Democrats.  That means the primary targets are all democrats.  No cases will be turned over because of unseemly political bias.

Of course Trump recruited him and made him an offer he could hardly refuse to take down the whole conspiracy while masquerading as an attack on Trump himself.  They are on the same page and that is it.

CONFIRMED: CLINTON OPERATIVES IN FBI MANUFACTURED RUSSIAGATE Conspiracy to overthrow elected president by criminal mafia confirmed

Roger Stone | Infowars.com - DECEMBER 19, 2017

https://www.infowars.com/roger-stone-why-mueller-must-be-removed-over-uranium-one/

As I noted in an editorial last week, President Donald Trump has only one viable option to repel the partisan lynch mob now nipping at his heels in the form of a taxpayer-funded pack of legal hyenas, masquerading as objective prosecutors under the droopy eyes of old reliable deep state hatchet man Robert Swan Mueller III, the special counsel appointed to “investigate” the Clinton-Podesta-Schiff-Democrat Party-Corporate Media fabricated Russia collusion delusion.

As the GOP Congress finally begins to stir, as rapid-fire events make it increasingly impossible to deny the true nature of Mueller’s handpicked partisan hit squad of Trump-hating, Hillary-supporting D.C. swamp lawyers and arrogant federal careerists, as firings and other departures quickly erode the carefully-contrived, totally-counterfeit veneer of credibility ascribed to Mueller and his henchpeople, my advice to the president has only become more apropos…and more imperative.

President Trump can, and must, kill two birds with one stone.

First, the president must completely disempower and dismantle Robert S. Mueller’s fraudulent rogue prosecution gang, which is merely an extension of a larger corruption of power that is unparalleled in our history.

Second, the president must use every resource at his disposal to prosecute the almost-seditious abuses of power by lawless Clinton-Obama FBI and NSA apparatchiks who:

1) Politically weaponized the federal government’s electronic intelligence capabilities to spy on a presidential candidate and his campaign,

2) Colluded with foreign and non-state intelligence agents to manufacture evidence used as false pretexts for securing FISA warrants(s) that employed the national security laws of the United States to give illicit, illegal cover to this political espionage,

3) Used the fruits of this political espionage activity to damage or otherwise hinder this candidate once they had become president-elect and eventually President of the United States through surreptitious releases of the criminally-procured information,

4) Fabricated and instigated false allegations about foreign state collusion implicating the president’s election campaign and family members, and

5) Perpetuated this massive criminal fraud on the American people for nearly a full year by manipulating and abusing the investigatory and prosecutorial powers of the Department of Justice.

To this end, President Trump must begin at the intersection of these seditious current and former federal officials who had previously facilitated and covered up a similarly-breathtaking and brazen criminal fraud on the country during the previous presidential administration, to include the previous president.

The president must order his Attorney General to appoint a special counsel to investigate the Obama-Clinton-Mueller-Rosenstein criminal collusion that enriched the Clinton-Democrat crime syndicate by 100s of millions of dollars and further embedded the power of the deep state operators who facilitated what may be the most brazen of self-serving criminal treasons in American history: the multi-billion-dollar Uranium One pay-to-play scam.

This incredible scheme perpetrated by the criminal Clintons and their coterie of minions and fellow travelers, implicates top officials of our federal government…including and especially the U.S Department of Justice, including and especially Robert Mueller and Rod Rosenstein.

This course of action is manifestly in the best interests of this country and of justice. It is not some political maneuver against the president’s cynical partisan persecutors or some clever machination to spare his presidency from the illegitimate cabal that is single-minded in its intent to fraudulently remove the president from office, by any means possible.

This action by the president is both legally and constitutionally necessary to preserve any remaining credibility in our institutions of government, which now hinges on whether or not justice will, once and for all, be visited upon the Clintons and their well-placed partisan accomplices, finally vindicating our system of law and justice after decades of brazen, yet-unpunished corruption that the Clintons and their ilk have insinuated into these institutions, bringing unparalleled and a now-accelerating degradation to American civic life itself.

Pro-active Republican lawmakers have already demanded the resignation of Robert Mueller, as a start, and are calling for a thorough probe of his entire ad hoc operation, which is now coming apart at the seams with almost daily revelations of its rotten fraudulent core.

Mueller’s decades as an establishment federal careerist, which only ended with his ceding of the FBI’s top job to his good pal, criminal leaker and manipulator Big Jim Comey, offer more than enough grounds for Mueller’s disqualification for merely the appearances of impropriety and professional conflicts of interest they raise, just at the outset. They are of such incestuous nature as it concerns key figures of the conspiracy to remove the president that Mueller should never even have been considered for appointment.

That Mueller took the Special Counsel appointment without even blinking, despite his own close professional and personal connections to key figures implicated in the DOJ, NSA and FBI corruption in service to ulterior partisan ends, via the Clinton crime family, was a major red flag, right from the beginning.

Reinforcing this red flag was the fact that Mueller’s entire (supposed) vetting for this sensitive, consequential special counsel position amounted a single-sentence approval letter signed by some faceless Deputy AG barely a day after the appointment was promulgated.

Aside from Mueller’s blatant disregard for both attorney and public service ethics in accepting the special counsel appointment, some GOP lawmakers have also cited the former FBI director’s close involvement with the Obama administration’s secret Russian-U.S. uranium deal as more than enough reason for his immediate removal and the commencement of a real (untainted) investigation of the Obama-Clinton Russia-connected treason that Mueller has been instrumental in abetting and covering up.

So exactly what is the story with Uranium One?? The short version is that in 2010, when Mueller was FBI director, the Obama administration and then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton approved and facilitated a highly-suspicious business deal that had grave public implication in that the result of it was that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton effectively handed Russia and Vladimir Putin control over upwards of 20% of the uranium assets of the United States.

As this deal was coming to fruition, after years of nefarious Clintonian machinations urging it along, Mueller’s FBI was not only investigating, but had uncovered clear evidence of, Russian bribery and fraud to the detriment of U.S. uranium contractors, as part of a larger Russian (Putin) racketeering scheme to gain control of global uranium resources, namely by purchasing the power and influence being peddled by the Clintons to anyone who would meet their terms.

As early as 2009, the FBI had obtained evidence (secret recordings and intercepted emails) showing that a Moscow-compromised uranium trucking company called Tenex was engaged in racketeering through a pattern of bribes and kickbacks in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. At the same time, Russian nuclear officials were routing millions of dollars to benefit the Clinton Foundation. Mueller’s evidence even included a secret informant willing to testify to these illicit schemes.

Tenex was operating out of Bethesda, Maryland through a subsidiary named “Tenam USA.” The company was run by a corrupt Russian official named Vadim Mikerin. As the FBI was investigating Tenam’s extortion and bribery scheme, Russia was seeking permission from the Obama administration and the Clinton State Department to acquire ownership in Uranium One. Despite evidence of Tenex and Mikerim’s ongoing corruption as early as 2009, the Obama administration rubber-stamped a U.S. work visa twice for Mikerim, as late as 2014.

And what did our intrepid paragon of justice Robert Swan Mueller III do to thwart this brazen scheming and arrest its perpetrators? The answer is absolutely NOTHING. In fact, and even worse, the deep state’s Russia collusion fantasy crusader Mueller actually moved to silence the FBI’s confidential informant, forcing the informant to sign a non-disclosure agreement. This otherwise-inexplicable gag order on a key witness to the Clinton-Russia uranium treason was only just lifted on October 25, 2017, a full seven years after the fact, under pressure from Congressional intelligence committee leadership.

Robert Mueller ensured that his own FBI investigators were effectively walled off from exposing the real players in our own government who were complicit in this epic influence-peddling scam founded on the Clintons’ ruthless greed and epic criminality.

Obama’s Justice Department and Mueller’s FBI knowingly kept Congress and the American people in the dark about Russia’s significant and illegal manipulations involving American uranium companies and the highest officials of American government, first and foremost among them U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. The result was that the Clintons’ criminal treason, in collusion with Russian nuclear criminals, went full steam ahead, unperturbed.

Mueller’s key role in the covering up of these Russia-Clinton uranium dealings constitutes more than enough justification for Robert Mueller’s immediate and unceremonious removal this autonomous, secretive inquisitor limitlessly probing the newly-inaugurated president who defeated his former Obama administration crony Hillary Clinton.

There are probably a dozen other reasons why Mueller should be criminally charged, but for now let’s just focus on this most heinous of schemes to which Mueller has been party: the transfer of our precious uranium resources to criminal Russian oligarchs to benefit the Clinton-Obama crime junta and sleazy hucksters from the ranks of the Democrat party.

How is it even possible that Russia (a supposed enemy) could acquire a 20% interest in U.S. uranium production, you might ask. The answer is that while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State under President Barack Obama, the Russian atomic energy agency, Rosatom, was handed official U.S. Government authorization to purchase a Canadian company named Uranium One which controlled uranium mining stakes stretching from Central Asia to the American West, including approximately 20% of America’s known uranium resources.

Uranium One, as handed over to the Russians by the Obama-Clinton, was effectively the creation of a Canadian entrepreneur named Frank Giustra. Mr. Giustra “coincidentally” and quite conveniently happened to be a major Clinton donor and a personal friend of Bill Clinton.

Bill Clinton and Frank Giustra

The Clinton-Giustra genesis of the Uranium One scam was detailed in a lengthy New York Times story in April 2015 titled “Cash Flowed to Clinton Foundation Amid Russian Uranium Deal.” [Based on the old Grey Lady’s incessant animus for Donald Trump and its complicity in puffing up the Russia collusion delusion about the president, it would seem that amnesia is the order of the day at the Times.]

In 2005, Clinton was flown on Giustra’s lavish private jet to Kazakhstan, a central Asian country once part of the former Soviet Union. Kazakhstan possesses around 12 percent of the world’s uranium resources and Giustra wanted to acquire ownership interest in several uranium mines.

Using his substantial network of contacts as a former U.S. President, Bill Clinton had arranged for he and Giustra to dine with Kazakhstan’s despotic ruler, Nursultan Nazarbeyev. During the meal, Clinton handed the Kazakh president a propaganda coup when Clinton expressed support for Nazarbayev’s bid to head an international elections monitoring group.

Apparently it was of no consequence or concern to officialdom in Washington that this move by Clinton ran directly counter to American foreign policy and undermined much-deserved criticism of Kazakhstan’s poor human rights record by, among others, Clinton’s wife, at the time a U.S. senator.

The new company Giustra formed to effectuate the Uranium One deal, UrAsia Energy Ltd., signed a preliminary deal giving it stakes in three uranium mines controlled by Kazatomprom, the government agency that runs Kazakhstan’s uranium mines and nuclear energy industry. In 2007 UrAsia merged with Uranium One in what was described as a $3.5 billion transaction, with the successor company retaining the name Uranium One.

Mukhtar Dzhakishev, president of Kazatomprom, subsequently revealed that then-Senator Hillary Clinton had pressured Kazakh officials to cede the uranium rights to Giustra. Hillary served as the stick to her husband Bill’s proverbial carrot in making the deal happen.

According to the Washington Post, Dzhakishev “described the deal as “a financing mechanism of the Democratic Party” and said a Clinton adviser named Tim Phillips championed it in meetings with him and other officials.”

From the same WaPo article:

“At the time, Clinton denied taking any action to support Giustra’s purchase. Giustra also said Clinton played no role in the deal and rejected any link between the deal and his Clinton Foundation donations.

But in the leaked video of him speaking to the authorities, Dzhakishev said a senior Kazakh official told him to look into the deal after then-Sen. Hillary Clinton canceled a meeting with him. Dzhakishev said he was told that “investors who currently work in Kazakhstan and have ties to Clinton have problems and meetings will be resumed only after Kazakhstan resolves the problems.”

“I called them, and they came. I met them in Astana and then Clinton’s aide, Tim Phillips, began to scream that this deal involves Democrats and is financed by them, and that we were hampering the deal,” Dzhakishev said.”

When all was said and done, UrAsia’s investors controlled the new Uranium One. Chairman of the new company was Canadian Ian Telfer. Telfer donated $2.3 million to the Clinton Foundation.

Frank Giustra, who had shepherded Bill Clinton’s influence with the Kazakhstanis, held a personal stake in the deal estimated at about $45 million. Through a spokesperson, Giustra said he sold his stake in 2007. According to the New York Times, one year after the 2005 uranium deal was final Giustra donated $31.3 million to the Clinton Foundation with a promise of $100 million more.

One adviser on the Uranium One-UrAsia merger was Paul Reynolds. Reynolds donated $1 to $5 million to the Clinton Foundation.

A company called U.S. Global Investors Inc. held $4.7 million in Uranium One shares. A U.S. Global executive named Frank Holmes donated $250,000 to $500,000 to the Clinton Foundation.

This is just the short list of Uranium One-connected donations that flowed back to the Clintons. Although the Clintons had an obligation to report these donations, they conveniently waited until 2008 to do so, and only when the New York Times was poised to expose and publish details about this obvious multi-million dollar pay-to-play scheme.

As is modus operandi with all of the Clintons’ sleazy machinations, any questions or suggestions posed about the connections between shady Clinton influence-peddling business deals and the inevitable cash windfalls realized by the Clintons were glibly pooh-poohed as either mere coincidence (please) or lacking any “evidence” (as if we need signed receipts and written agreements to connect the obvious dots of the Clintons’ epic lucre).

With classic Clintonian prevarication, treating the public as either blind, stupid or both, the Clintons steadfastly deny the obvious quid pro quo connections at the root of the Uranium One Kazakhstan acquisitions. Of course, the crony beneficiaries of the deal know enough to follow suit with similar huffy denials, lest they meet with an unfortunate premature demise like so many others who have dared run afoul of the Clintons’ scamming and scheming, all the way back to the Arkansas backwater days.

Russo-Clinton Treason: Phase II

Bubba and Putin in 2010 contemporaneous with the Clinton uranium treason

Once Uranium One was set up with the Kazakhstani uranium holdings and firmly in the control of Clinton cronies, the stage was set for the next step in the Clintons’ treasonous plot: handing over Uranium One and its holdings (including 20% of America’s uranium resources) to the Russians, or more accurately to Vladimir Putin. The Clinton cabal’s uranium wheelings and dealings began immediately at the commencement in 2009 of the Obama administration, under the close direction of newly-installed Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

In order for Russian nuclear entity Rosatom to purchase Uranium One the deal required approval from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, or CFIUS. The committee consists of top officials from nine different federal agencies. Not surprisingly, given the foreign subject matter intrinsic to the committee’s work, the key agency — the main driver out of all government players involved — is the U.S. Department of State, conveniently headed by Mrs. Bill Clinton in 2009.

To be clear, Hillary Clinton did not have the authority to push such a potentially-controversial deal through by herself. Such power ultimately resides with the president, in this case Barack H. Obama. But also joining Madame Clinton on the CFIUS was the contemptible, corrupt, partisan U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder.

Under the careful orchestration of the Obama-Clinton-Democrat graft artists, the CFIUS voted twice, first in 2010 and then in 2013, to approve Rosatom’s acquisition of Uranium One, thereby giving Vladimir Putin control of 20 % of all U.S. uranium.

It would be ridiculous to think that Obama, Hillary, Holder, and Mueller would not have been well aware of the FBI’s investigation into the Russian racketeering and all of the bribes and kickbacks, in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, that formed a backdrop to the Uranium One acquisition by Russia.

These sworn federal officials did not step in to expose and halt the tainted Uranium One deal, they quite unabashedly cleared the way for it. Robert Mueller, far from being just the head of the FBI investigating Russia’s racketeering activities around the deal, seems to have in fact been an active participant in it, going so far as to personally deliver ten grams of HEU (highly enriched uranium) to the Russians in September 2009.

The HEU in question had been confiscated in 2006 by the U.S. Department of Energy in a “nuclear smuggling sting operation involving one Russian national and several Georgian accomplices.” A cable, one of several released by WikiLeaks details Director Mueller’s mission to personally deliver the HEU to Russian law enforcement at the behest of Hillary Clinton.

Another interesting bit of “innocent timing” or convenient coincidence (take your pick): in June of 2010, the same month that Rosatom struck its deal for a majority stake in Uranium One, Bill Clinton spoke in Moscow for the tidy sum of $500,000, the 2nd highest fee he had ever received for a speech.

Clinton’s half-million dollar bonanza for 90 minutes “work” was paid by Renaissance Capital, a Russian investment bank with ties to the Kremlin. Renaissance Capital analysts talked up Uranium One’s stock, assigning it a “buy” rating and saying in a July 2010 research report that it was “the best play” in the uranium markets. Of course this, too, is just a “coincidence.”

If you think all of these connections and occurrences are too mind-boggling to accept as mere coincidence, hold on to your seat for this next one. Remember how the Tenam/Rosatom racketeering activities were centered in Bethesda, Maryland at the Tenex U.S. offices? As rank-and-file FBI agents were assiduously investigating these Russian schemes to obtain U.S. uranium resources through corruption of public officials, Robert Mueller knew he had to suppress the case, what with Hillary impatiently waiting in the background for the deal to close so she and Bill could realize the multi-million dollar windfalls to their “Foundation.”

Since the case technically arose in Maryland, Mueller moved to hand it to a trusted ally who conveniently happened to be a prosecutor with jurisdiction over the case. Mueller had known this prosecutor for over 20 years. In fact, the prosecutor’s career began as a trial attorney working for Mueller in (ironically) the Public Integrity Section of the DOJ’s Criminal Division.

At the time Mueller handed his longtime legal crony the Uranium One case to be buried and forgotten, clearing the way for approval of the Rosatom deal by the Obama administration and Hillary Clinton, the attorney was serving as United States Attorney for the District of Maryland. His name was Rod Rosenstein.

And the rest is history. I leave you, the good reader, to draw the obvious conclusions about what is really behind this cozy little bromance between Robert Mueller and Rod Rosenstein, the two lawyers who promulgated Mueller’s grotesque, unaccountable partisan hit squad that is clearly intent on taking out our president.

Let’s not forget what Donald Trump said to Hillary Clinton and the entire nation in a televised presidential debate on October 9, 2016:

“I’ll tell you what. I didn’t think I’d say this, but I’m going to say it, and I hate to say it. But if I win, I am going to instruct my attorney general to get a special prosecutor to look into your situation, because there has never been so many lies, so much deception. There has never been anything like it, and we’re going to have a special prosecutor.”

After his election, Donald Trump chose to be magnanimous and forward-looking rather than follow-through on his words and appoint that special prosecutor. Trump naively thought he could commence his presidency free from the tentacles of his seething, embittered dragon lady of an opponent.

Donald Trump genuinely did not want his presidency tangled up with the Clinton stain. He knew it this would be impossible to avoid were he to see to the much-deserved prosecution of Hillary Clinton and her extensive syndicate of cohorts, cronies, flunkies and fellow travelers, including the likes of Mueller and Rosenstein, for their countless crimes and endless scandals.

Unfortunately for him, they gave him his “special prosecutor.” And now this prosecutor is ruthlessly and illegitimately driving towards nothing less than a coup d’etat, ending with Donald Trump’s being removed from his duly-elected office.

It is time for President Trump to end this despicable sedition and begin the work of draining the swamp…for real.

Very Similar Copper Artifacts found in North Georgia and Yucatan

As should be obvious from my own work on the Bronze Age, The Atlantean global copper trade heavily engage Lake superior for at least 1500 years. Now this work wakes us up to the importance of the Georgia Greenstone mineral belt is producing metalurgical grade copper and alloys. It actually continued operations from likely before 2400 BC through to the present.

At the same time all the academic sources argued against any significant copper trade at all.  This proves to be utter nonsense.  Yet my own work had to work around this obvious anomaly.  It really argued that for some reason the locals would not buy copper tools.

Again that is rubbish and we continue to forget that copper and its alloys were money for all these peoples and never allowed to be lost or buried.  That is why artifacts are thin on the ground, just as in Europe.

Recall that at the height of the Bronze Age, an Irish village was mining a copper deposit that graded around eight pounds per ton.  We do no better today.  This stuff was way more valuable than gold.

VERY SIMILAR COPPER ARTIFACTS FOUND IN NORTH GEORGIA AND YUCATAN

PART NINE OF THE MAYAS IN NORTH AMERICA SERIES

Super-sleuth Ed Reilly sent the People of One Fire a fascinating excerpt from an old book last night. It is an account of early conquistadors, who made contact with the Mayas in the early 1500s. They were carrying copper allow hatchets with curved wooden handles . . . identical to those unearthed at Etowah Mounds in Northwest Georgia. The Maya traders also carried copper discs (gorgets) and crucibles for melting copper.

There is a strange contradiction between what one sees in museums and the description of the cultural levels of indigenous peoples in eastern North America in textbooks. One sees sophisticated copper weapons and artifacts in the region near the Lake Michigan Copper Deposits and in the Lower Southeast, yet the books describe these people as living in the Stone Age.

New POOF readers probably wonder why I focus so much of my own research into the ancient history of the Southern Appalachians. The reason is simple. The headwaters of the Coosa, Etowah, Chestatee, Chattahoochee, Little Tennessee and Savannah Rivers are ALL in the Georgia Gold-Copper-Greenstone Belt. Minerals mined here could be shipped by canoe to most of eastern North America.

In 1565, when Lt. La Roche Ferrière returned to Fort Caroline after spending six months among the Apalache, Itsate, Mayacoa (Maya People) and Ustanauli Peoples in Middle and North Georgia, he gave Captain René de Laudonnière identical “hard copper” hatchets, plus samples of white, yellow and red gold. Ferrière also brought back chunks of greenstone from near the gold deposits, from which Native Americans in the eastern United States made their finest axe heads and wood wedges. Fort Caroline’s colonists had already discovered that the local Native tribes on the coast of Georgia and South Carolina had gold neck chains, gold foil and silver pendants that they had obtained in trade from the Apalachen Mountains

A metallurgist in the garrison at Fort Caroline could not figure out what was added to the copper to make it have the properties of brass. He also determined that the gold samples were the purist raw gold that had ever analyzed.

For decades, Florida academicians have dissed this account by saying that “there is no copper in the Georgia Mountains, no such thing as “hard copper” or red gold . . . plus everybody knows that the Apalache were in Florida and there is no gold in Florida.” Greenstone is a particular hard form of jade. The academicians knew for a fact that greenstone was only found in Central America and southern Mexico.

First of all, the real Apalache lived on the southern edge of the Appalachian Mountains. Apalachen was the plural of Apalache in their language, which was a mixture of Panoan from Peru, Itza from southern Mexico and Muskogean from northeastern Mexico. Nevertheless, these Florida anthropologists should pay a visit to the Georgia Gold Museum in Dahlonega.

The geologists at the Gold Museum will tell doubters that there is indeed three types of gold . . . yellow, white and red . . . found in them thar hills. The purest natural gold in the world is found near Dahlonega, Georgia.

Furthermore, copper ore was mined commercially in extreme southeastern Tennessee and the North Central Mountains of Georgia until the late 20th century. It was smelted in Copper Hill, Tennessee. The copper mines near gold veins in the Chestatee River Basin near Dahlonega and Gainesville also had a peculiar property. The copper is naturally mixed with zinc and gold, producing a copper alloy very similar to brass. One particularly large copper mine near Dahlonega supplied this special type of copper to the U.S. military effort during World War II. As the Spanish Conquistadors described, this natural brass can be polished to a mirror-like finish.

There are several credible eyewitness reports by Spanish and French explorers that the Chiska People in eastern Tennessee in Eastern Tennessee knew how to smelt copper ore into pure copper and create copper items in molds. They exported their surplus copper creations to other regions of North America. Yet, over and over again one reads in professional anthropological journals that the indigenous peoples of eastern North America only knew how to beat nuggets of pure copper into copper sheets. Supposedly they had no knowledge of metallurgy beyond the shaping of naturally pure metals into simple forms.

As for greenstone . . . there is a ridge of extremely hard greenstone that stretches from near the site of the great town of Kusa on the Coosawattee River to the northwestern part of Georgia to tip of northwestern South Carolina. The best quality greenstone comes from just north of Dahlonega, near US Hwy. 19, which was known to the Creeks as the Great White Road (Nene Hvtke Rakko). It would have been superior for making tools than any greenstone in Mesoamerica.

Where the greenstone belt adjoins the Dahlonega Copper Belt one can find gem quality jadeite . . . a form of greenstone that is brighter green and serpentine, which is a jadeite that is more olive drab in color. The greenstone in North Georgia, traded to Natives around North America to make their finest axes and wedges, polishes to a greenish-gray color. There is beautiful green marble on the upper Etowah River, which begins west of Dahlonega. It looks like jade So, both the Spanish Conquistadors and René de Laudonnière were telling the truth about the brass-like copper, high quality gold jewelry, jade ornaments and greenstone that they observed.

Copper and bronze artifacts are rarely discussed in Mexico

The ONLY time I recall copper tools and weapons being discussed in Mexico was during the initial orientation meeting I had with Dr. Román Piña Chán, Director of the Museo Nacional de Antropologia. He was looking at photos and drawings of copper artifacts, unearthed at Etowah Mounds, in a book that I had given him.

Dr. Piña Chán told me that the copper art, weapons and tools from Georgia were superior to anything produced in Mexico. He asked me why there were no gold artifacts pictured in the book, because gold is much easier to work than copper. Was there no gold in Georgia? I told him that there was lots of gold in Georgia. The Gold Belt ran just east and south of Etowah Mounds, so I had no explanation for the lack of gold art.

Bronze hatchets on display in the National Museum of Anthropology

I don’t recall discussing copper or bronze artifacts with other archaeologists in Mexico. However, as can be seen at right, there is now such an exhibit and the hatchets look just like the copper and brass ones found at Etowah Mounds. Anthropology textbooks, published in the United States, NEVER mention bronze weapons being used in Mexico.

As for the copper hatchets described by the Conquistadors, I can’t even recall seeing them in a Mexican museum. However, I did a Google search with “hachas de cobre en México” and was shocked to find that while the English language edition of Wikipedia never mentions this, the Spanish language version tells us that Post Classic Period peoples in Mexico made BRONZE and copper axes/hatchets for cutting trees and for warfare. The Post Classic Mayas in Yucatan used BRASS hatchets and axes made from an unknown source of copper, because the atomic profile of their copper does not match the poor-quality copper found in the Guatemalan Highlands.

So . . . Gringo television documentaries, archaeological texts and Wikipedia articles tell us that the peoples of Mexico were still in the Stone Age and only had stone tools. BUT . . . if you know Spanish, you can go on internet and discover that the indigenous peoples of Mexico were actually in the Bronze Age. There is a similar situation in the Eastern United States.

Artifacts from Southeastern mounds that few people have seen

In 1951, Harvard University archaeologist Phillip White unearthed bronze axe heads from stone veneered mounds on the Oconee River in Northeast Georgia. These bronze artifacts were associated with Late Woodland Period and Mississippian Period burials deep within the mounds. These mounds were in the heartland of the Apalache Kingdom, which anthropologists do not know existed.

White made virtually no comments about the astonishing discovery of metal tools in ancient Native American burials. Probably, this is because officially the Indians in Georgia were in the Stone Age therefore and in his profession’s word view, the bronze tools couldn’t exist. White took the bronze axes back to Boston, where they were never seen again.

Copper plate found in Mound C

Most of the artifacts on display at the Etowah Mounds Museum in Cartersville, GA are left overs. When Warren K. Moorehead departed Etowah Mounds in 1925, he thought that he had found all that there was to find at Mound C. Like all the other carpetbagger archaeologists, who plagued the South from the 1880s to the 1920s, he took the finest pottery, statues and copper/brass artifacts back up North, where most ended up in private collections. In the 1880s Cyrus Thomas and John Rogan of the Smithsonian Institute did the same thing. Very few of these artifacts are now on public display. The public is left with the impression that the ancestors of the Creek Indians in Georgia were far less sophisticated than they really were.

In 1954, archaeologist Lewis Larson started at ground level, where Mound C had been and then went down. Most of what you see on display in the Etowah Mounds museum dates from around 800 AD, when it was a Woodstock Culture village to around 1100 AD, which are associated with the portion of Mound C that was below the ground in the 1950s. So the handful of copper hatchets on display in the Etowah Mounds museum represent the least sophisticated state of Native people living in that town.

Fortunately, Warren K. Moorhead sketched and photographed some of the most sophisticated copper artifacts that he found in Mound C. Here are some of the illustrations that were published in his book on Etowah Mounds. They prove that the indigenous peoples of the Lower Southeast were far more sophisticated than portrayed now in the region’s archaeology museums.

No one ever thought about comparing the copper artifacts of the Itza Mayas and Muskogeans because few people know it existed!

The Itsate (Itza People) Creeks were concentrated at three locations in Georgia . . . The Nacoochee Valley-Track Rock Gap area in Northeast Georgia . . . Etowah Mounds in Northwest Georgia . . . and at Ichese on the Ocmulgee River in Middle Georgia. The chronology of the town sites in these three regions have identical chronologies to events that occurred in either Palenque, original capital of the Itza or in Chichen Itza, where they relocated in the Post Classic Period.

The only location where yaupon holly grows naturally outside the United States is near Palenque, Chiapas. Georgia attapulgite is found in the Maya Blue stucco of Palenque. Chia (grain salvia) was grown on vast scale in Chiapas State, Mexico and the proto-Creek province of Chiaha in the Southern Highlands. There must be a connection.

Georgia archaeologists refuse to discuss the extreme similarity of copper art symbolism in Georgia and Yucatan during the Post Classic Period. However, there is one artistic theme at Etula (Etowah Mounds) that is particularly perplexing.

The copper sacrificial knives on row three are identical in appearance to the (presumed) obsidian knives portrayed on bas reliefs at Chichen Itza in Yucatan, Mexico. At Chichen Itza the knives are part of scenes in which the priest has cut off the head of a ball player or sacrificial victim. Several copper and shell art pieces at Etowah Mounds show priests holding human heads, just like the priests at Chichen Itza.

One shell gorget from Etowah Mounds shows a priestess holding a ceremonial mace and a human head. Her headdress is absolutely identical to those worn by Maya priests and priestesses of the god, Kukulkan (Quetzalcoatl). Is it possible that during at least one phase of Etula’s (Etowah Mounds) occupation, human sacrifice was practiced? One fact cannot be denied. The first occupation of Etula ended shortly after Chichen Itza was captured and sacked by soldiers from Mayapan.

The Truth Is Out There Somewhere!

First Americans may have been Neanderthals 130,000 years ago

What should be clear is that this was a site of opportunity and no planned kill.  such a site demands the use of tools to hand and breaking rocks to provide a crude cutting edge and a crude hasmmer is literally the first thing you would do if you are not overly equipped.

I certainly can see a Sasquatch doing just this. And no one doubts that they could actually have made the overland trip on their own steam.  We have actually got sightings in the barrens.  With that possibility in place we still have possibles in modern humanity, and the other old world known bipedal primates such as the Denisovans, and the Neanderthals.  Yet those really demand excellent canoes at the least and that was only available around 20,000 years ago in the Bering sea.

North America was a harsh continent before the end of the Ice Age starting after the Pleistocene Nonconformity.   As I have said earlier, this region was at the latitude then of Vancouver.  Modern humanity and other bipedal primates occupied a temperate continental shelf at best at these latitudes.

Eaten by the first Americans?

26 April 2017

By Colin Barras

https://www.newscientist.com/article/2129042-first-americans-may-have-been-neanderthals-130000-years-ago/?

An extraordinary chapter has just been added to the story of the First Americans. Finds at a site in California suggest that the New World might have first been reached at least 130,000 years ago – more than 100,000 years earlier than conventionally thought.

If the evidence stacks up, the earliest people to reach the Americas may have been Neanderthals or Denisovans rather than modern humans. Researchers may have to come to terms with the fact that they have barely scratched the surface of the North American archaeological record.

“We often hear statements in the media that a new study changes everything we knew,” says Chris Stringer at the Natural History Museum in London. “If this result stands up to scrutiny, it does indeed change everything we thought we knew about the earliest human occupation of the Americas.”

The evidence comes from a coastal site in San Diego County, California. In the early 1990s, routine highway excavations exposed fossil bones belonging to a mastodon, an extinct relative of the elephant. Researchers moved in to examine the site, and they soon decided that this was no ordinary mastodon fossil.

Some of the mastodon bones that have been excavated

San Diego Natural History Museum Many of the bones and teeth were fragmented, some with “spiral” fractures that may be produced when humans break open fresh bone. Alongside the broken bones and teeth, the researchers found stone cobbles that had evidence of impact marks on their surfaces. Two were particularly large – about 15 centimetres in diameter – and each was surrounded by small bone and teeth fragments.

Taken together, the evidence points to one scenario, says team member Steven Holen at the Center for American Paleolithic Research in South Dakota. A group of early humans stumbled upon a fresh mastodon carcass and then removed bones and broke them open using stones as simple hammers – with the two larger cobbles serving as makeshift anvils. “The distribution of fractured pieces of bone right around the anvils is fairly conclusive evidence,” he says.

The mastodon bones would have been a good source of nutritious bone marrow. Alternatively, the early humans might have broken the bones to use as raw material – bone can be worked and sharpened to create tools.

The surface of a mastodon bone showing a half impact notch on a segment of femur

Tom Deméré, San Diego Natural History Museum None of this would be particularly controversial except for one final detail. Holen’s colleague – James Paces at the United States Geological Survey in Colorado – has used uranium-thorium isotope dating to age the mastodon fossils. The results suggest the remains are 131,000 years old, give or take 10,000 years. The current consensus view is that humans first reached the Americas much more recently, perhaps just 15,000 years ago.

“We believe we have a robust and defensible age for early humans being in America more than 100,000 years earlier than people had imagined,” says Paces.

Exactly who those people were is impossible to say as there were no human fossils at the Californian site. “But there are a range of possibilities,” says team member Richard Fullagar at the University of Wollongong in Australia. “They could have been Neanderthals or Denisovans.”

Both of these groups were probably present in Siberia more than 130,000 years ago. Holen says sea levels were low and a land bridge existed between Siberia and North America just before 130,000 years ago. Either group could in theory have wandered across.

Modern humans?

Alternatively, it might have been modern humans – Homo sapiens – that made it to the New World 130,000 years ago, says Fullagar. Recent archaeological evidence suggests our species was in China 120,000 years ago, which is far earlier than once thought. Perhaps modern humans were in East Asia even earlier than the Chinese fossils suggest, and moved into the Americas from there.

However, given that genetic studies strongly suggest that indigenous populations in North America trace their routes to much later episodes of colonisation, it would seem likely that whoever arrived there 130,000 years ago didn’t survive very long.

“The claims are extraordinary and the potential implications staggering,” says Jon Erlandson at the University of Oregon. Dennis Jenkins, also at the University of Oregon, simply describes the work as “mind-boggling”.

But both researchers – and many others – express extreme caution about the conclusions. “Broken bones and stones alone do not make a credible archaeological site in my view,” says Erlandson.

He singles out the supposed stone hammers and anvils as a particular weak point in the analysis. By 130,000 years ago, hominins elsewhere in the world were making elaborate stone tools. Nothing this complicated was found near the mastodon.

“I would expect to find more sophisticated tools and behaviour,” says María Martinón-Torres at University College London, who works on the early archaeological record of China.

Study scepticism

Simple stone tools of a similar age have been found in only one place: Homo floresiensis, the “hobbit”, left a record of relatively simple stone tools on the Indonesian island of Flores.

But even these tools show a level of complexity not seen at the mastodon site, says Adam Brumm at Griffith University in Queensland, Australia, who works on the Flores archaeological record. “If these are indeed humanly modified artefacts they make the typical hobbit tool look like an iPhone,” he says.

Brumm’s general reaction to the new study is scepticism. “Most archaeologists will simply never believe it – the dates are too old, the ‘tools’ too untool-like and the implications too mind-boggling.”

Fullagar isn’t disheartened by such scepticism, though. “I’ve spent about four years looking at these artefacts and the team has been looking at the evidence for about 24 years,” he says. “It’s understandable that it might be difficult to get your head around the nature of this evidence in a couple of days.”

And the reaction to the new evidence isn’t universally sceptical. Gerrit van den Bergh was already aware of the research because he works at the University of Wollongong alongside Fullagar. “I think the team has very strong arguments and good evidence,” he says.

Stringer is also prepared to be open-minded. “The paper has come through thorough peer review,” he says. “[But] many of us will want to see supporting evidence of this ancient occupation from other sites before we abandon the conventional model.”
