This is huge and completely unexpected. It compares to earthworm managemnt with grazing.
turns out that rabbits dig up the ground searching for roots to consume and this aerates the soils and allows seeds to pass through and be dropped in pellets promoting sprouting. All this brings back desert plants. Which is huge.
That plant recovery then allows rotational cattle grazing over the affected range, and quite early on as well. after all with mob grazing, you walk the animals from one enclosure to the next and that can be some real distance. all this supports grassland expansion and more cattle.
This also tells me that we need to apply this to the Southwest desert and far too dry texas rangeland. Understand that bushes and trees root deep and lift moisture into the atmosphere to humidify it. This increawes rainfall
