Monsanto Weed Killer Roundup Faces New Doubts on Safety in Unsealed Documents

New Doubts!  The news for Monsanto and Roundup is nothing but bad and the underlying science is now getting the attention it has long deserved.  This must alone force Monsanto to leave the field.  Yet all this takes time and farmers will still want the ease Roundup provides.  That is the short term problem.

The long term problem is a nightmare which will see vast tracts of land potentially abandoned to agriculture.  The soil degradation is accelerating.  Recovery will require massive re-pasturing and years of cycling to restore proper fertility.  It can be done and mechanization will actually save us.

Humanities future will include active involvement in agriculture for everyone during specific parts of life's journey.   It will be assisted by robotic systems.

The reputation of Roundup, whose active ingredient is the world’s most widely used weed killer, took a hit on Tuesday when a federal court unsealed documents raising questions about its safety and the research practices of its manufacturer, the chemical giant Monsanto.

Roundup and similar products are used around the world on everything from row crops to home gardens. It is Monsanto’s flagship product, and industry-funded research has long found it to be relatively safe. A case in federal court in San Francisco has challenged that conclusion, building on the findings of an international panel that claimed Roundup’s main ingredient might cause cancer.

The court documents included Monsanto’s internal emails and email traffic between the company and federal regulators. The records suggested that Monsanto had ghostwritten research that was later attributed to academics and indicated that a senior official at the Environmental Protection Agency had worked to quash a review of Roundup’s main ingredient, glyphosate, that was to have been conducted by the United States Department of Health and Human Services.

The documents also revealed that there was some disagreement within the E.P.A. over its own safety assessment.

The files were unsealed by Judge Vince Chhabria, who is presiding over litigation brought by people who claim to have developed non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma as a result of exposure to glyphosate. The litigation was touched off by a determination made nearly two years ago by the International Agency for Research on Cancer, a branch of the World Health Organization, that glyphosate was a probable carcinogen, citing research linking it to non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Court records show that Monsanto was tipped off to the determination by a deputy division director at the E.P.A., Jess Rowland, months beforehand. That led the company to prepare a public relations assault on the finding well in advance of its publication. Monsanto executives, in their internal email traffic, also said Mr. Rowland had promised to beat back an effort by the Department of Health and Human Services to conduct its own review.

Dan Jenkins, a Monsanto executive, said in an email in 2015 that Mr. Rowland, referring to the other agency’s potential review, had told him, “If I can kill this, I should get a medal.” The review never took place. In another email, Mr. Jenkins noted to a colleague that Mr. Rowland was planning to retire and said he “could be useful as we move forward with ongoing glyphosate defense.”

The safety of glyphosate is not settled science. A number of agencies, including the European Food Safety Agency and the E.P.A., have disagreed with the international cancer agency, playing down concerns of a cancer risk, and Monsanto has vigorously defended glyphosate.

But the court records also reveal a level of debate within the E.P.A. The agency’s Office of Research and Development raised some concern about the robustness of an assessment carried out by the agency’s Office of Pesticide Programs, where Mr. Rowland was a senior official at the time, and recommended in December 2015 that it take steps to “strengthen” its “human health assessment.”
In a statement, Monsanto said, “Glyphosate is not a carcinogen.”

It added: “The allegation that glyphosate can cause cancer in humans is inconsistent with decades of comprehensive safety reviews by the leading regulatory authorities around the world. The plaintiffs have submitted isolated documents that are taken out of context.”

The E.P.A. had no immediate comment, and Mr. Rowland could not be reached immediately.

Monsanto also rebutted suggestions that the disclosures highlighted concerns that the academic research it underwrites is compromised. Monsanto frequently cites such research to back up its safety claims on Roundup and pesticides.

In one email unsealed Tuesday, William F. Heydens, a Monsanto executive, told other company officials that they could ghostwrite research on glyphosate by hiring academics to put their names on papers that were actually written by Monsanto. “We would be keeping the cost down by us doing the writing and they would just edit & sign their names so to speak,” Mr. Heydens wrote, citing a previous instance in which he said the company had done this.

Asked about the exchange, Monsanto said in a second statement that its “scientists did not ghostwrite the paper” that was referred to or previous work, adding that a paper that eventually appeared “underwent the journal’s rigorous peer review process before it was published.”

David Kirkland, one of the scientists mentioned in the email, said in an interview, “I would not publish a document that had been written by someone else.” He added, “We had no interaction with Monsanto at all during the process of reviewing the data and writing the papers.”

The disclosures are the latest to raise concerns about the integrity of academic research financed by agrochemical companies. Last year, a review by The New York Times showed how the industry can manipulate academic research or misstate findings. Declarations of interest included in a Monsanto-financed paper on glyphosate that appeared in the journal Critical Reviews in Toxicology said panel members were recruited by a consulting firm. Email traffic made public shows that Monsanto officials discussed and debated scientists who should be considered, and shaped the project.

“I think it’s important that people hold Monsanto accountable when they say one thing and it’s completely contradicted by very frank internal documents,” said Timothy Litzenburg of the Miller Firm, one of the law firms handling the litigation.

The issue of glyphosate’s safety is not a trivial one for Americans. Over the last two decades, Monsanto has genetically re-engineered corn, soybeans and cotton so it is much easier to spray them with the weed killer, and some 220 million pounds of glyphosate were used in 2015 in the United States.

“People should know that there are superb scientists in the world who would disagree with Monsanto and some of the regulatory agencies’ evaluations, and even E.P.A. has disagreement within the agency,” said Robin Greenwald, a lawyer at Weitz & Luxenberg, which is also involved in the litigation. “Even in the E.U., there’s been a lot of disagreement among the countries. It’s not so simple as Monsanto makes it out to be.”

Correction: March 18, 2017

An article on Wednesday about documents unsealed in a case over exposure to glyphosate, a crucial ingredient in the weed killer Roundup, misspelled part of the name of a law firm involved in the litigation. It is Weitz & Luxenberg, not Luxembourg.

Dave Schrader's Flying 'Manta Ray' Anomaly Sighting

This one is important because we lock in scale because of the surrounding trees it is working around.  There can be no dispute for size and its relative motion either.  Better yet it is also associated with a mountain region and associated updrafts as well as a number of jittering lights in the adjacent skies.

The sting ray shape is excellent for  navigating what is essentially an airbag full of methane and has been observed before.

As i have posted, i posit the existence of slime mold creatures able to create an methane bag in order to easily rise in the atmosphere all the way into the the stratosphere above the active atmosphere.  Mountains would provide an excellent acceleration ramp in order to gain altitude out of the lower atmosphere.

Of course we would fly through them without notice except for occasional blobs of slime on the local lawn.  They seem to have some capacity for mobility although the rapid movements seen are from jumping local air currents.  They are plausibly responsible for the majority of the more obviously benign UFO sightings.

I have actually seen one catch the setting sun while jittering off a mountain peak.

At the urging of a caller, Dave Schrader agreed to talk about the strange flying creature he saw while staying at James Gilliland's ranch in Trout Lake, Washington:

“I went out to James Gilliland's ranch in Trout Lake, Washington. You can find information at eceti.org and while I was out there I had seen these lights in the sky, many different lights in the sky, doing all sorts of different things; some flashing, some moving in rapid speeds and then turning at breakneck speeds but the most profound experience I had was, at one point, we had all been watching Mount Adams, I think was the name of the volcano over there, and we were standing there watching this and I figured, what are we missing behind us? So I walked out into the field and turned around. So I was looking behind everybody else, who were looking behind me. More eyes on the skies, right? So I go there and I'm looking when behind this grove of pine trees comes this internally glowing blue back, I don't know, it looked like a stingray without the tail, the way it fluttered. And it emanated a blue light from within. It didn't glow. It didn't look like it was lighting up the sky. It was just a self-contained light and it just fluttered through the sky behind one set of trees to behind another set of trees. And then it was gone. And it was so eerie, silent eerie, but it looked like a bad 1980s movie video effect. So I was running towards it and throwing rocks between the trees half expecting to hear the sound of screen or something he had back there that he was projecting things on but there was nothing.”

Surprise: You’d never guess what well-known company just decided to dump artificial coloring from its products

.

This is new and likely to spark an industry trend. This is one more example of science accepted over fifty years ago that now looks seriously shaky.

Add in the history of regulatory connivance and the ease in which the science can now be freshly redone and these suspect products become ticking time bombs for PR blowback.

Thus leading the charge to replace those colors also puts your competition under the gun as well.  A very timely and solid strategy.

It is likely to take off.

Surprise: You’d never guess what well-known company just decided to dump artificial coloring from its products

http://www.naturalnews.com/2017-03-08-surprise-youd-never-guess-what-company-just-decided-to-dump-artificial-coloring-from-its-products.html

(Natural News) If you enjoy coffee and ice cream but loathe artificial colorings, it seems that you may be in for a treat sometime soon. Dunkin Brands Group Inc., which owns the popular Dunkin Donuts coffee chain and Baskin-Robbins ice cream chain, has announced that it plans on removing artificial colorants from the majority of its products by 2018.

Organic Authority reports that in a recent press release, Dunkin’ Brands Chairman and CEO Nigel Travis said, “This is a significant undertaking on the part of our product development teams and suppliers.”

Travis went on to state, “However, we are committed to meet the evolving needs of our customers, including their preference for more nutritional transparency and simpler ingredients, while maintaining the great taste and the fun, vibrant colors expected from Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins products.”

The research and development teams for Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins are currently re-working a host of products to meet this new goal. At Dunkin’ Donuts, donut icings, toppings, frozen beverages, baked goods, breakfast sandwiches and coffee flavorings are all being revamped to become free of artificial colorants. And at Baskin-Robbins, the plan is to remove synthetic dyes from ice creams, syrups, sauces, sprinkles and beverages.

However, neither brand will be removing a selection of supplier-branded ingredients that are produced by other companies and used as ingredients in their foods, such as topping or mix-ins for ice creams. Baskin-Robbins has also noted it will take them longer to replace the artificial colorants used in the decorative elements of their famed ice cream cakes.

A number of fast-food and chain restaurants have launched initiatives to improve the quality of their ingredients in the last few years. Subway, Panera, and Taco Bell have also announced their plans to remove artificial colorings from their products, along with other questionable ingredients.

In 2015, General Mills announced it would be removing synthetic dyes and artificial flavors from its cereals. That same year, Kraft finally caved in and made a similar announcement, after refusing to remove artificial colors from its iconic macaroni and cheese product for two whole years.
What’s the fuss about food dyes?

Artificial dyes have been controversial for many years. In Europe, many of these dyes were banned in 2008, after a study showed that they could cause behavioral problems in children. The U.S. FDA failed to administer a similar ban, even in the face of a massive petition from The Center For Science in the Public Interest (CSPI). CSPI also recently authored a report that outlined the adverse effects artificial food dyes can have on children’s health, as well as the lack of policy surrounding this issue and more, which you can view in full on their website.

The report indicates that eight separate analyses have demonstrated that removing food dyes from children’s diets can help correct behavioral issues. More concerning is the fact that many American children are consuming amounts of these dyes far higher amounts than what was used in these trials, which could indicate an even bigger problem. According to CSPI, many of these dyes “fail to meet the federal safety standard for color additives, which requires ‘convincing evidence that establishes with reasonable certainty that no harm will result from the intended use of the color additive.'” In 2008, the organization petitioned the FDA to ban Red 40, Yellow 5 and six other synthetic colors for this reason.

Some food dyes are produced with coal tar or petroleum and are known to be carcinogenic. As Food Matters explains, Yellow 6 has been linked to tumors of the kidneys and adrenal glands, while Green 3 is linked to bladder cancer, and Red 3 causes thyroid tumors in rats.

Synthetic dyes are not as safe as they are purported to be — especially not in the amounts they are often consumed. CSPI President Michael F. Jacobson had said that major food companies “should be embarrassed” by what they are selling to the American people, especially while they are accommodating the EU and providing them with naturally-colored or dye-free versions of the same food.

While it is great that consumer demand is finally working and driving these big corporations to find natural alternatives to synthetic compounds and ingredients, it has taken far too long.

Leftist Judge Produces 43 Page Decision Within 2 HOURS

This is an extraordinary intervention by a party with no standing in the court in question.  That the 43 page decision was hand delivered by the former president is obvious.  That two hours to prepare a 43 page decision is impossible and this judge could not possibly have even made changes in the time frame.  Thus this decision was long since prepared.  So then the hearing itself was only for cosmetic purposes.

That Obama apparently met with him is outrageous.  I hope that that is untrue.  They all know better.

What is very clear is that this is meddling and can only bode ill for the American legal system...

THIS WAS ALL PLANNED WAY IN ADVANCE FOLKS—

From a Previous Post Today….

Barack Obama paid a surprise visit to Honolulu, Hawaii on Monday just days before US District Court Judge Derrick Watson, who presides in Honolulu, ruled against President Trump’s temporary refugee ban from terror states.

Via Pat Dollard and the Star Advertiser:

Coming off a string of high-profile meetings, former President Barack Obama made an unannounced return to Hawaii Monday.

Just three months removed from his last official holiday visit as president, Obama was spotted dining at Buzz’s Lanikai Monday night.

Local Democrats tried “their best to keep it under wraps the whole day.”

Then on Wednesday President Donald Trump’s revised travel ban was put on hold by US District Court Judge Derrick Watson in Honolulu, Hawaii after hearing arguments that the executive order discriminates on the basis of nationality.

Judge Watson believes Somalis and Yemenis have the same constitutional rights as American citizens.

NOW THIS….

Judge Watson, managed to produce a 43-page decision within two hours of the case being filed in Hawaii.

The judge issued his 43-page ruling less than two hours after hearing Hawaii’s request for a temporary restraining order to stop the ban from being put into practice.

The US prepares to 'incapacitate' Kim:

More than 80 aircraft, including the fighter aircraft F/A-18F Super Hornet (at the front of the carrier), the E-2C Hawkeye and the carrier-based EA-18G Growler (in the middle) are on board the super carrier

North Korea happens to be the low hanging fruit.  Policy has clearly failed for sixty years to the extent that we actually have seen a succession of insane rulers with zero change in position.  At the same time their population is reduced to serfdom and economic growth is impossible.

Temporarily suspending the cease fire agreement that ended the Korean War in order to reopen negotiations is appropriate. At the same time you enforce a no fly zone and break every window.  Then open by demanding abject surrender.

While this is going on have So Korea offer a handsome retirement package for the No korean officer corp and all other retirees.  That is a powerful carrot.

Wait a while then torch the entire nuclear  infrastructure.

There are still plenty of what ifs to deal with here but a push will work now.

  • South Korea military source says heightened presence is part of plan to decapitate North Korean leadership
  • Pyongyang has long condemned the annual joint drills - called Foal Eagle - between South Korea and the US
  • Tensions have escalated with missile launches from North and assassination of Kim Jong-Un's half-brother
A growing US presence off the Korean Peninsula is reportedly part of a plan aimed at 'incapacitating' Kim Jong-Un's despotic regime in Pyongyang should conflict break out.

A nuclear-powered US aircraft carrier arrived in South Korea on Wednesday for joint military exercises in the latest show of force against the North.

The USS Carl Vinson arrived at the southern port of Busan as US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson began a tour of the region, where tensions have escalated in recent weeks with missile launches from the nuclear-armed North and the assassination of Kim Jong-Un's estranged half-brother in Malaysia.

More than 80 aircraft, including the fighter aircraft F/A-18F Super Hornet, the E-2C Hawkeye and the carrier-based EA-18G Growler are on board the supercarrier.

South Korea's Yonhap News Agency claims the heightened military presence is part of a plan to decapitate North Korean leadership.

They claim a military official, who wished to remain anonymous, told them: 'A bigger number of and more diverse U.S. special operation forces will take part in this year's Foal Eagle and Key Resolve exercises to practice missions to infiltrate into the North, remove the North's war command and demolition of its key military facilities.

The aircraft carrier and a US destroyer will conduct naval drills including an anti-submarine manoeuvre with South Koreans in waters off the Korean peninsula as part of the annual Foal Eagle exercise.

Washington insist they are purely defensive in nature.

Rear Admiral James Kilby, commander of USS Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group 1, said: 'The importance of the exercise is to continue to build our alliance and our relationship and strengthen that working relationship between our ships.'

Yonhap news agency said the navy drills will begin next week.

The US has also started to deploy 'Gray Eagle' attack drones to South Korea, a military spokesman revealed on Monday.

South Korean and U.S. troops began the large-scale joint drills on March 1.

The exercise last year involved about 17,000 American troops and more than 300,000 South Koreans.

This year's exercise is expected to be of a similar scale.
E-2C Hawkeye
Built by: Northrop-Grumman
First flown: 1960
Used by: US Navy, Republic of China (Taiwan) Air Force
Cost per plane: $176million (£143m)
Maximum take-off weight: 57,500 lb (26,083 kg)
Speed: 402 miles per hour (648 km/h)

The spike in tensions has concerned Beijing, with China's Foreign Ministry calling on all sides to end 'a vicious cycle that could spiral out of control.'

North Korea, which has alarmed its neighbours with two nuclear tests and a string of missile launches since last year, said the arrival of the US strike group was part of a 'reckless scheme' to attack it.

The North Korea's state KCNA news agency said: 'If they infringe on the DPRK's sovereignty and dignity even a bit, its army will launch merciless ultra-precision strikes from ground, air, sea and underwater.

'On March 11 alone, many enemy carrier-based aircraft flew along a course near territorial air and waters of the DPRK to stage drills of dropping bombs and making surprise attacks on the ground targets of its army,' KCNA said.

Last week, North Korea fired four ballistic missiles into the sea off Japan in response to annual U.S.-South Korea military drills, which the North sees as preparation for war.

The murder in Malaysia last month of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's estranged half-brother has added to the sense of urgency to efforts to get a grip on North Korea.

EA-18G Growler
Built by: Boeing
First flown: 2006
Used by: US Navy, Royal Australian Air Force
Cost per plane: $68million (£55m)
Maximum take-off weight: 66,000 lb (29,937 kg)
Speed: Mach 1.8 (1,370 miles per hour)
Armaments: AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles for self-protection (air-to-air) and AGM-88 HARM air-to-surface missiles

Visiting the headquarters of an army unit early this month, Kim praised his troops for their 'vigilance against the US and South Korean enemy forces that are making frantic efforts for invasion', according to the North's official KCNA news agency.

Kim also ordered the troops to 'set up thorough countermeasures of a merciless strike against the enemy's sudden air assault', it said.

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is due to make his first visit to South Korea on Friday.

The threat represented by North Korea's growing nuclear and missile arsenal is the main reason for his trip to the region.

Tillerson arrives in Tokyo on Wednesday, moves on Friday to Seoul, which is in the grip of a political crisis, and then travels the next day to Beijing to hold talks with President Xi Jinping and other officials.

Last week, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations said President Donald Trump's administration was re-evaluating its North Korea strategy and 'all options are on the table'.

PLANES ON THE USS CARL VINSON

The aircraft carrier, commissioned in 1982, is the centerpiece of the 7,500-sailor strike group. The 100,000-ton ship measures 333 meters in length and 77 meters in width.

The Carl Vinson has been involved in a number of notable events including Operation Iraqi Freedom. The ship also received huge attention in 2011 when the body of Osama bin Laden was buried at sea from its deck.

More than 80 aircraft, including the fighter aircraft F/A-18F Super Hornet, the E-2C Hawkeye and the carrier-based EA-18G Growler are on board the supercarrier.

The F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is the U.S. Navy's primary strike and air superiority aircraft.

The EA-18G Growler is the U.S. Navy's newest electronic attack aircraft intended to replace ageing EA-6B Prowlers in the service's fleet.

As part of his plans to bolster the military, President Trump has vowed to expand the number of carriers the US fields from 10 to 12.

And he promised to bring down the cost of building three 'super-carriers,' which has ballooned by a third over the last decade from $27 to $36 billion.

It Appeared In A Flash

I have come across several reports in which a Sasquatch sighting was associated with a UFO event.   some were strong but still not decisive.  However it is also true that our understanding of the direct encounter phenomena has also advanced to understanding it as a sampling program of humans which usually leaves little trace in memory.  That they would also sample Sasquatch is actually a given and that is actually supported by other reports.

Obviously what happens then is that any human is merely an observer as happened here.

These craft choose the time for collection and release.  Yes we are dipping in and out of local time to do all this. and this is likely the explanation for the flash.

I think that the observer saw a capture event the first night and a release event the second night.

Way more important though is the the Sasquatch was observed along with the two temporal events and clearly involved.  This is real confirmation of what is happening and that it includes the Sasquatch as well as ourselves..

It Appeared In A Flash

Wednesday, March 15, 2017

http://www.phantomsandmonsters.com/2017/03/it-appeared-in-flash.html?

I recently received the following account:

Hi - I had been listening to the interview you had conducted with Stan Gordon (Arcane Radio). I had an 'incident' happen, about 8 years ago, when I was living in Shasta County, CA. I figured you'd be interested in reading it.

One evening while I was watching television in my living room, I noticed a bright red flash come through the window nearest me. The flash came from my backyard. I looked outside and was shocked to see what appeared to be a flat circular object hovering, then landing, in the field behind my garage. There were blue and white lights flashing intermittently around the object. There was mist or smoke rising from it. I first thought it might be a large helicopter, but it was silent. After a few seconds, the object instantly vanished in another bright flash.

It stunned me, and left me wondering what I had just witnessed. I waited for a few minutes, then went outside with a spotlight to take a look. I am single, so I was alone. There are a few houses on the other side of the field, but the distance to the nearest property is about a quarter mile. I didn't see any other people investigating the lights. There was nothing to indicate that the object had landed in the field, so I decided to wait and look some more the next day.

I didn't find any evidence the next morning. I estimated that the object had been about 50 or so feet in diameter. That night something happened that has changed my belief in the unknown.

I was sitting in the living room watching television at about 9:30 PM, and once again I was stunned by another bright red flash coming from the backyard. I immediately got up from my chair and looked out the window. There was a full moonlight, so I noticed that in the same location that I saw the object land the night before, there was something moving around. I didn't know what to think or what to do. I wondered if I should call the authorities, but then I'd have to tell them about the flash of light and what I had witnessed the previous night.

I just sat there with the lights and television off for several minutes. I then started to hear dogs barking in the distance. Then suddenly I heard something hit the side of the garage, and then a deep groaning sound. I sat there quietly, when I saw a faint shadow move across the window. The window is almost 7 ft from the ground, but the shadow completely blacked out any light. It was moving towards the front of the house. I got up and looked out the dining room window. There was a huge hairy creature illuminated by the light on the utility pole. It must have been 8-9 ft in height and a massive body. This had to be a Bigfoot! As I continued to watch this creature, it walked away from my property, then into the adjacent field. I went upstairs and sat at my bedroom window, just waiting to see if the creature returned.

The next morning, I walked around my property looking for tracks. I did find an indentation in the ground that measured 15 inches long and 6 inches across, but I'm not sure if it had been from the creature. I didn't find anything unusual, other than a cinder block laying by the garage. It had to have been brought there.

To this day, I have only told a few friends about the incident. I wonder if the Bigfoot had come from a UFO or that it came on it's own. CK

NOTE: I contacted CK by email, and received a response two days later. We then talked through Skype, where he described the ordeal. His description of the creature was a bit more detailed...at least 8 ft tall, dark hair covering the entire body, and a large conical head that had a short neck. He didn't get a very good look at the face, but did noticed that it had a protruding jaw and forehead profile.

His description of the incident is unique in one sense, but familiar to other reports where a Bigfoot-like creature could have been associated with the sighting of a UFO...even though there was an approximate 24 hour time difference.

The witness seemed to be very truthful and didn't give me the impression that he was embellishing the sightings.

I sense that this may have been an interdimensional event...but that's just my opinion. It's a rare witness sighting indeed. Lon

A Flash of Light Occurs at Moment of Conception

First off, this is not the first time that this has been observed.  that it gives up the spectrum of zinc is intersting but i also do not thing that is the whole sory either.

A great deal of chemistry is taking place here and it must both use and discharge energy.  It also must be directed as well unless someone can show me otherwise.  It is a pretty complex dance here.

We also understand now that all this is orchastated throungh the individual light bodies of the two cell and that they also must form a new light body of super computer out of dark mater as well.  This may a lot easier than the chemistry but we simply do not know and are likely to never know because of
 the scales incolved.

What is ceain is that there is ample reason for a radiation dump here andin the ultraviolet as well.

A Flash of Light Occurs at Moment of Conception

Scientists have discovered that a "breathtaking" flash of light occurs at the moment of conception.

For the first time, researchers from Northwestern University have now demonstrated that when a human sperm first meets an egg a bright zinc spark can be seen, not only a "remarkable" phenomenon but also one that might be a game-changer for in vitro fertilization.

"It was remarkable," said the study's co-author Professor Teresa Woodruff. "We discovered the zinc spark just five years ago in the mouse, and to see the zinc radiate out in a burst from each human egg was breathtaking. All of biology starts at the time of fertilization, yet we know next to nothing about the events that occur in the human."

"All of biology starts at the time of fertilization, yet we know next to nothing about the events that occur in the human."

The researchers say that the size of the flash of light provides valuable information about the health of the eggs. The brighter the flash, the more viable the egg, and thus the better option for in vitro fertilization, which has a high failure rate (around 50%) and often involves clinicians using imprecise means of testing or simply choosing whichever eggs they think appear to be most viable.

"This means if you can look at the zinc spark at the time of fertilization, you will know immediately which eggs are the good ones to transfer in in vitro fertilization," explained Woodruff. "It's a way of sorting egg quality in a way we’ve never been able to assess before."

"This is an important discovery because it may give us a non-invasive and easily visible way to assess the health of an egg and eventually an embryo before implantation," said co-author Dr Eve Feinberg. "There are no tools currently available that tell us if it’s a good quality egg. Often we don’t know whether the egg or embryo is truly viable until we see if a pregnancy ensues. That’s the reason this is so transformative. If we have the ability up front to see what is a good egg and what’s not, it will help us know which embryo to transfer, avoid a lot of heartache and achieve pregnancy much more quickly."

Biological Nanobot Responds to DNA Signals

We are now on the verge of serious directed intervention in the human body at the cellular level.  This matters because we have had to dump massive amounts of otherwise semi benign chemicals into the body in order to produce a positicve shift.

Now it is possible to send one thousand arsenic atoms to deal with one thousand cancer cells or at least imagine the equivalent.

That really does open the door for essentially correcting everything even if we cannot get the bhody to do it itself.

BIOLOGICAL NANOBOT RESPONDS TO DNA SIGNALS: NEW MEANING TO ...

 https://gizadeathstar.com/2017/03/biological-nanobot-responds-dna-signals-new-meaning-sleeper-cells/

Nanotechnology has taken another significant step in the technology tree to becoming a reality for medicinal (and other) purposes, according to this article shared by Mr. V.K.:

Note some intriguing things here, from the beginning of the article:
A research group at Tohoku University and Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology has developed a molecular robot consisting of biomolecules, such as DNA and protein. The molecular robot was developed by integrating molecular machines into an artificial cell membrane. It can start and stop its shape-changing function in response to a specific DNA signal.
\
This is the first time that a molecular robotic system has been able to recognize signals and control its shape-changing function. What this means is that molecular robots could, in the near future, function in a way similar to living organisms.
According to the article, this little nano-bot is only one millionth of a meter in diameter. This may seem significant, until one recalls in his 1986 nanotechnology classic, Engines of Creation, Eric Drexler noted that IBM had been successful in spelling its name with 35 xenon atoms, and, even more breathtakingly, AT&T had constructed the first artificial atom. That was in 1986!
But to return to the article, why is a shape-changing nanobot significant? The answer:
The realization of a molecular robot whose components are designed at a molecular level and who can function in a small and complicated environment, such as the human body, is expected to significantly expand the possibilities of robotics engineering. The results of this study could lead to technological developments that could help solve important medical issues -- such as a treatment robot for live culturing cells and a monitoring robot for checking environmental pollution.

"The paper by Nomura and coworkers represents a major step towards the development of autonomous soft microrobots," says Dr. Friedrich Simmel, professor at the Technische Universität München. "Based on this achievement, in the future similar systems could be developed that display artificial phototaxis or chemotaxis, or similar 'intelligent' behavior."
Indulging in a bit of high octane speculation, one can envision that such technologies could be made to change shape and latch onto various pathogens, which have their own peculiar shapes that some believe allows then to attack human cells; AIDS and cancer cells could thus, by the DNA signals that they give, attract such nanobots which could then attach themselves to the disease cells and literally attack them, injecting them with terminal drugs. In short, a major step in the technology tree has been taken, proven, and the door is open to modifications of the basic technology that would conceivably usher in a very new and very different kind of chemotherapy.
And of course, if one indulges high octane speculation a little further, this is the ultimate biological weapons possibility, for programmable nanobots could conceivably be designed to attack only certain kinds of genetic signatures. One might go so far as to envision such technologies that could be injected into a target population and activated at a later date by the introduction of chemical triggering agents or electromagnetic signaling, giving a new, literal, and terrifying meaning to the term "sleeper cells."
And if we can think of it, one can rest assured "they" have as well. In this respect, it's worth recalling once again what my co-author Scott deHart and I wrote in Transhumanism: A Grimoire of Alchemical Agendas, for we pointed out there that a key area of research for DARPA, the Defense Advance Projects Research Agency, or as we like to call it following a suggestion of Mr. J.B., the Diabolically Apocalyptic Research Projects Agency, is nanotechnology.
...and with enough black funds, and people, and time...
See you on the flip side...
