Medieval Living: How Did Medieval Peasants Light Their Homes?

We have all heard of tallow candles and rush lights are a version of that.  It burns hot and slow and is good enough..

Understand that eskimos used seal oil and dry moss in a stone bowl which seems good enough as well.

The real point is that you do not need much because your eyes adjust hugely.

UPDATED 29 MARCH, 2023

The Middle Ages spanned from the 5th to the 15th century, during which the majority of the population lived in rural areas and worked as farmers. While life during this time was vastly different from our modern-day conveniences, it was a time of ingenuity and resourcefulness. One such aspect of daily life was lighting homes. In a time without electricity, how did medieval peasants light their homes? From tallow candles and rush lights to oil lamps, a variety of methods were employed. Exploring these methods sheds light on the ingenuity of our medieval ancestors and the challenges they faced.

Nasty Pesticide Broken Down by Probiotic Used In Culturing Food

This shows us a pathway for making food safe.  Not easy though, but still important.

This protocol needs to be available.

I do think we will simply get there. It is a lot of reseach, but it is still been done.

Cultured food has a wide range of health benefits, but did you know that the microbes found within fermented food are capable of breaking down certain highly toxic chemicals in our gut?

A compelling study published in Letters in Applied Microbiology shows that a commonly used food probiotic known as Lactobacillus plantarum is capable of degrading dangerous pesticide residues in wheat (pirimiphos-methyl), confirming the traditional fermentation-based food-processing technique known as culturing can significantly improve the safety of conventional food.

The researchers found that Lactobacillus plantarum enhanced the degradation of the pesticide from 15-34%, a close to 81% enhancement. The significance and impact of the study was described as follows:

"Pesticide residues are an unavoidable part of the environment due to their extensive applications in agriculture. As wheat is a major cultivated cereal, the presence of pesticide residues in wheat is a real concern to human health. Reduction in pesticide residues during fermentation has been studied, but there is a lack of data regarding pesticide residues dissipation during cereal fermentation. Present work investigates the dissipation of pirimiphos-methyl during wheat fermentation by L. plantarum. Results are confirmation that food-processing techniques can significantly reduce the pesticide residues in food, offering a suitable means to tackle the current scenario of unsafe food."

Conventional wheat and other commonly consumed grains receive post-harvest pesticide treatment to prevent their infestation during storage.[1] Very little degradation occurs during storage, and milling does not significantly reduce the bulk of the chemicals, but in fact results in the distribution of their residues in various processed products. This has raised particular concern in regard to the contamination of baby food products containing cereal ingredients,[2] especially since wheat bound pesticides such as pirimiphos-methyl have been found to have high bioavailability in animals.[3] [4]

The natural health movement has long advocated for reducing the well-known antigenicity and allergenicity of cereal grains through sprouting, fermentation and culturing (e.g. the sourdough process in bread making), but this new finding sheds light on another way in which these traditional methods may reduce the bodily burden of not just natural (e.g. gluten, lectins) but manmade toxins, as well.

Previous groundbreaking research has found that lactic acid producing (Lactobacilli) bacterial strains from the fermented cabbage-based Korean food known as kimchi are capable of degrading four different organophosphorous insecticides by using them as a source of carbon and phosphorous.[5] [6] In fact, probiotics have been found to potentially offset a wide range of modern-day toxic exposures, including Bisphenol A, Chemotherapy, Gluten, Aspirin and Sodium Nitrate. [See: 8 Ways Microbes Can Save Us From Ourselves]

Ultimately, the best way to avoid pesticide exposure is to consume organically produced food, or better yet, biodynamically farmed food where no petrochemical inputs are used from the bottom up (soil to harvest). But, failing this increasingly difficult task to obtain entirely chemical-free food, it behooves us to recognize the value of food culturing and fermented food for our health. Deadly weed may actually help us look younger, heal faster

All plants need to be tested rigorously in order to observe their talents. We all know this plant and many like it which none of us ever consume.

Again it can be valuable.

and we have known this plant since Aristotle.

Deadly weed may actually help us look younger, heal faster

If you’re on a hike, you’d be best steering well clear of the cocklebur weed. While the stalky green plants with curious-looking spiky burs don’t appear particularly deadly, this noxious plant is a killer.

In 2007, 76 villagers fell ill in northeastern Bangladesh after consuming the plant’s seedlings, and a quarter of those died. The toxin present in the seedlings and burs (also often called their fruit and their seeds), carboxyatractyloside, can cause nausea, palpitations, drowsiness, hallucinations and multiple organ dysfunction leading to death.

It can also cause acute liver failure in pigs, cattle, sheep, poultry, horses and other ruminants.

However, the deadly plant is of increasing interest to scientists for its array of potential health benefits. Already studied for cancer-fighting and arthritis-treating properties, researchers have also discovered compounds with anti-aging and wound-healing potential.

New research has found that the fruit of the cocklebur plant – scientifically, Xanthium strumarium – has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that could be used by humans as an effective skin protectant.

Research out of Myongji University in South Korea detailed how in clinical trials on tissues and cells, compounds extracted and isolated from the burs reduced damage from UVB exposure, accelerated wound healing and stimulated collagen production.

“We found that cocklebur fruit has the potential to protect the skin and help enhance production of collagen,” said Eunsu Song, a doctoral candidate at Myongji University. “In this regard, it could be an attractive ingredient for creams or other cosmetic forms. It will likely show a synergistic effect if it is mixed with other effective compounds, such as hyaluronic acid or retinoic acid, against aging.”

The plant has been used for thousands of years in traditional Chinese herbal medicine, treating everything from headaches to fungal infections. Scientists have since identified around 170 of its compounds for use in medical research.

Cocklebur proliferation, its hardiness and the rate at which it grows could provide an economical and sustainable source of cosmetic and pharmaceutical skincare development. However, the researchers caution that their results are preliminary and that more studies are needed to evaluate safety.

“In its burrs, cocklebur fruit also has a toxic constituent, carboxyatractyloside, which can damage the liver,” said Song. “Cocklebur showed a potential as a cosmetic agent by increasing collagen synthesis; however, it showed negative results with higher concentrations. Therefore, finding the proper concentration seems very important and would be key to commercializing cocklebur fruit extracts in cosmetics.”

The research was presented at the ASBMB annual meeting #DiscoverASBMB in Seattle.

Weight-loss injectable could replace bariatric surgery knife

This is as promising as it gets and we have collaterral impact as well.  On the otger hand, the bar is pretty low here.

It is good news and we will take it.  Right now it can remove fat in rats.

hopefully it is safe and helpful for us as well.

Bariatric surgery is successful at treating obesity, but it's not without its risks

https://newatlas.com/medical/weight-loss-injectable/

Bariatric surgery, which includes gastric bypass and other ways of manipulating the digestive tract, has proven to be a successful way of treating obesity and, in some cases, even reversing diabetes. However, as with all surgeries, it comes with certain risks, has a lengthy recovery time, and is a costly procedure to undergo. Now, working with rodents, researchers have found a way to harness benefits similar to those from surgery, but in the form of an injection. They also found that it helped with metabolism, insulin production and, most surprisingly, with opioid cravings.

When bariatric surgery such as gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy are conducted, they not only result in a smaller overall stomach area – which effectively reduces the amount of food someone can eat – they also create biochemical changes in the body. Most significantly, they change the way the gut secretes two hormones known as glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and peptide YY (PYY). These hormones help ramp down a person's appetite, keep blood sugar levels normal, and signal fullness.

While drugs exist that can mimic GLP-1, they often have unpleasant side effects such as nausea and other forms of gastric distress, that can lead to their discontinuation. They also work on only GLP-1 receptors, ignoring the potential benefits of activating PYY receptors as well.

Seeking to tackle the issues surrounding bariatric surgery and current medications while also offering a way to combat obesity, research led by scientists at Syracuse University (SU) and Seattle Children's Research Institute created an injectable peptide that activated both PYY and GLP-1 receptors. In lab tests, the substance, which is called GEP44, caused obese rats to reduce their food consumption by 80% and lose 12% of their body weight during one 16-day study. These statistics beat the performance of a drug that activates only GLP-1 receptors, called liraglutide, by a factor of three.

Rats can't vomit

What's more, because rats can't vomit and therefore indicate whether or not GEP44 was making them nauseous, the researchers tested the compound on shrews (who can, in fact, upchuck), and couldn't find any signs of queasiness. The anti-nausea effect could have implications beyond weight loss, says one of the lead researchers.

"For a long time, we didn't think you could separate weight reduction from nausea and vomiting, because they’re linked to the exact same part of the brain," said Robert Doyle, from SU. "What if we could maintain the benefit of chemotherapy drugs but tell the part of the brain that causes vomiting and nausea to knock it off? Then we could dose patients at a higher level, so they would have a better prognosis, and they would also have a better quality of life while undergoing chemotherapy."
Even more benefits

Not only did GEP44 help the rodents reduce their food intake, but it also helped them fire up their metabolisms by shuttling glucose into muscle tissues and out of the blood, making it a source of energy. Furthermore, it caused some pancreatic cells to convert to brand-new insulin-producing cells, which are often damaged by diabetes.

And if that wasn't enough, the researchers also report that the compound successfully reduced fentanyl cravings in rats, which hints at GEP44's potential use as an addiction treatment.

Initially, GEP44 only had a half life of about an hour in the body, but thanks to an improved formulation, the researchers are hopeful that future treatments could be given as injections just once or twice a week. The team has filed for patents on the drug, and plan to conduct more advanced testing on primates.

The findings have been presented today at ACS Spring 2023, a meeting of the American Chemical Society.

Falun Gong Doctrine

I will assume that the doctrine shared here is channeled from the other side.  Parts conform to past such reports but other aspects not so much.  This is why i am so carful with these reports.  So yes be very careful.  Also understand that the one doctrine to read and understand are in the direct words of Yesua or Jesus.  I suspect that he is a human being from our own era no less who goes back to enact the original ministry to close the circle of TIME.

More practically, he shares a practice of meditation and a practice of Qi Gong exercise which comprises of setting poses and holding those poses for twenty minute cycles.  Muscle failure then triggers biological strengthening.  Because i actually use machines, i avoid the direct use of postures, but accomplish the same thing.

This still sets the idea of creator as vseparate from creation which i suspect is a mistake

Falun Gong Founder Mr. Li Hongzhi Publishes ‘How Humankind Came To Be’

January 21, 2023Updated: February 18, 2023

Mr. Li Hongzhi is the founder of the spiritual discipline Falun Gong. The practice combines meditation and gentle exercises with a moral philosophy centered on the tenets of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance.

After Mr. Li introduced the practice to the public in China in the early 1990s, an estimated 100 million people started practicing. Since then, the practice has spread to more than 100 countries around the world.

Despite this, in China, the practice has been subjected to extreme persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). This includes a campaign of hate propaganda and censorship by the CCP, both in China and in the West. The Epoch Times, on the occasion of the Chinese New Year, is honored to provide a platform to Mr. Li.

Mr. Li is a four-time Nobel Peace Prize nominee and was nominated by the European Parliament for the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought. He is also the recipient of Freedom House’s International Religious Freedom Award.

Mr. Li is the author of the book “Zhuan Falun,” which has been translated into 40 languages.

The following is the article “How Humankind Came to Be” by Mr. Li, translated from Chinese.

***
How Humankind Came To Be

I would like to first pass along my greetings to everyone on the advent of the Chinese New Year.

New Year’s would normally be a time for sharing a few pleasant remarks about the occasion. But I am seeing imminent danger approaching humanity, and have been called upon by divine beings to pass along, for this reason, several things to everyone in this world. Each of what I am about to disclose is a higher, closely guarded secret, and these are being shared to provide a true picture of affairs, and to give people another chance at salvation.

First is the question of how humankind came about. From the dawn of its creation to its final days, the universe has gone through an exceptionally long passage of time consisting of four stages: Formation, Stasis, Degeneration, and Destruction. When the final point of the Destruction stage is reached, the complete obliteration of everything in the greater cosmic body—which includes the universe in which we exist—takes place instantaneously, and all living things perish!

[ I do not accept this at all.  we have continous creation and no possible end.  arclein]

When a person dies, it is just a matter of his physical body declining and breaking down, while his true soul (which is who he really is, and which does not die with the passing of his physical body) will continue on in a next life, being reborn. So just as the universe goes through formation, stasis, degeneration, and destruction, so too do human beings go through birth, aging, illness, and death. These are laws of the universe, to which even higher beings are subject, only the time span is longer, with the process being more drawn out in proportion to how great the beings are. Life and death are not painful for them, and they remain cognizant throughout these processes—to them, it is as if but changing outfits. Put differently, normally, lives do not really die. When the universe and the cosmos disintegrate at the final stage of the Formation-Stasis-Degeneration-Destruction process, however, lives will not be reborn, and there will be no more existence of life or matter, with all turning to dust and there being only emptiness. Currently, the human world is experiencing the last period in the Destruction phase of the Formation-Stasis-Degeneration-Destruction progression. Everything has changed for the worse in these end times, as fated, and destruction is thus imminent. And it is for this reason that the world is so troubled. Good thoughts are rare, people’s minds have become twisted, debauchery and drug abuse are rampant, and people subscribe to atheism. These are inevitable in the last stage of the cosmos, and bespeak of the time at which we have arrived!

The Creator cherishes all of the heavenly beings that exist as well as all of the lives that are good and kind, and all of the glorious creations in the cosmos. So at the beginning of the Degeneration stage, the Creator led a number of divine beings to the outermost plane of the cosmic body (known generally as “that which is outside the Divine Realm”), a place where there are no divine beings, and created Earth. But Earth hadn’t the capacity to exist independently; it needed for there to be a corresponding cosmic structure with which it could form a circulatory system involving life and matter. For this reason, the Creator made a larger expanse outside of the Earth, which higher beings refer to as the “Three Realms.” Before the final time of salvation arrived, no higher beings, however great, would be allowed to enter this expanse without the Creator’s permission. The expanse of the Three Realms comprises three major realms: the Realm of Desire (yu), which is made up of the lives on this earth, including humankind; a second realm, the Realm of Likings (se), which is above it; and a third realm, further above, known as the Realm Without Likings (wu se). Each successive realm is higher and more glorious than that below it, though none can compare to the Divine Realm or the many heavenly kingdoms still higher. The “heaven” that people normally refer to is in fact within either the Realm of Likings or the Realm Without Likings, within the Three Realms. Each of the Three Realms has 10 planes within it, making for a total of 33 planes in all, if you include the Three Realms themselves. Human beings reside in the Realm of Desire, and this is the lowest of all planes, with the worst environment. Life is painful and short here, but more dreadful still is the fact that in the human world, few of the things people take to be truths are actually valid. What human beings hold to be true is on the whole considered the opposite in the larger universe (but an exception is the higher truths that holy beings have taught to man). For example, the divine does not consider it right for whomever is victorious in battle to become ruler, for territory to be seized by military force, or for the powerful to be seen as heroes, since killing and forcefully taking from others are involved. That is not the way of the universe, nor how higher beings go about things. Yet in the human world, these are inevitable and accepted. Those are the ways of the human world, but they are contrary to the ways of the universe. Thus, if a person wishes to return to heaven, he must follow true, higher laws and work on himself. Some people are content when they are doing a bit better in life than others. But such people are only comparing themselves with other human beings within this human realm, when everyone here is in fact living in what is considered to be the trash bin of the universe. The Three Realms were established at the outermost perimeter of the cosmic body, and everything here is made up of the lowest, crudest, and filthiest of particles—molecules, atoms, and the like. In the eyes of higher beings, this is where the trash of the universe is cast away. They thus regard this plane of molecules as dust or “clay” and see it as the lowliest of places. This is the origin of the belief held in some religions that man was made by the divine out of clay. Man was indeed formed out of matter at the molecular plane.

When divine beings made man, they did so at the Creator’s behest, and He instructed them to each make human beings in their own unique image. For this reason, there are the white, yellow, black, and other races. While their outward appearances differ, the souls within them were given by the Creator. And that is why they have common values. The purpose that the Creator had in directing divine beings to make man was to make use of man in the final times when He would offer all lives of the greater universe—including holy beings—salvation.

But why would the Creator have divine beings create humans in such a lowly and inferior place? It was because, with this being the universe’s lowest plane, it is the most grueling of places, and only when things are trying and painful may a person elevate himself through spiritual practice and shed his or her karma. When a person, amidst painful experiences, still manages to keep kind thoughts, have gratitude, and be a good person, he or she is growing through it. Salvation is a process of ascending from low to high, and so one has to start from the bottom. Life is trying for anyone living here. There are the tensions between people when they are trying to make out better, there is the terrible state of the natural environment, and there is the fact that just getting by in life takes a great deal of thought and effort, to name just a few examples. All of these circumstances provide people with opportunities to develop themselves and lessen their karma. It is certain that going through hardships can help people to atone for their sins and karma. And anyone who manages to stay good-natured amidst painful situations and interpersonal troubles is going to build up merit and virtue and, as a result, will achieve the elevation of his or her soul.

With the arrival of modern times, the Creator had intended to utilize mainly the human body to save the many lives of the universe. And so the souls originally in the majority of human bodies here were replaced by those of higher beings, who incarnated in them. With a human body, they could reduce their karma and sins by enduring hardship. And in this place that is devoid of truth, they could, by holding fast to the higher truths taught by God and persevering in goodness and kindness, achieve the elevation of their souls. The end times are now upon us; the Heavenly Gate that leads out of the Three Realms has been opened, and the Creator is choosing such beings for deliverance.

Everything in the universe had become impure during the Formation, Stasis, and Degeneration phases, and inferior to when creation was begun. And this is why things are heading for Destruction. In other words, everything in the greater universe has gone bad, the lives of creation are no longer as good as they were in the very beginning, are no longer pure, and all of them have accrued karma and sins. And this accounts for Destruction coming about. This kind of sin is what has been referred to in religious contexts as original sin. So that the universe could be saved, the Creator directed a multitude of higher beings and divine sovereigns to descend to the earth and assume human form in this setting, where they would suffer, elevate, atone for their sins, and forge themselves anew—re-ascending to heaven as a result. (The Creator has been re-making the universe at the same time as saving humankind.) The new universe is perfectly pure and simply glorious. If, in a trying setting like this, a person can still keep his thoughts virtuous; if he can hold his ground against the onslaught of modern values and views, and stick to traditional ones; and if he still believes in the divine in the face of assaults from the atheist and evolutionary camps, then that person will fulfill his purpose: to gain salvation and return to heaven. All of the madness now unfolding in the world was planned as such, for the final phase, by divine beings. Their goal was to test the lives here and see whether they were worthy of salvation, and give them a chance to, in the process, work off their sins and karma while going through difficult things. And all of this was done so that people could be saved and gain deliverance back to heaven.

All of this is to say that the purpose of people’s lives on this earth isn’t to accomplish something in the world. All of the intense efforts and attempts people make in life, and their drive to get what they want, which can even involve resorting to unscrupulous means, only make people immoral in the end. The reason people came to this world and became human was to atone for their sins and karma, and to make significant spiritual progress. People came to this world to gain salvation. They came and assumed human form to await the Creator and his salvation back to their heavenly kingdom. And while they waited, they built up merit over their many past lives, and that was the purpose of people’s rebirths. The troubled nature of this world is meant to make something great of these lives. Of course, there are some people who, when seeking divine help in times of duress, haven’t been satisfied with the outcome and started to loathe God—even turning against Him as a result. Some have even turned to the demonic, dark side, and committed still further sins and made yet more karma. Those whom this applies to had best quickly come around and beg God for forgiveness, if they are still to have a chance of reaching safety. Everything that happens in one’s life—whether it seems warranted or not—is, in reality, the karmic consequence of what one did in one’s past lives, for better or for worse. The amount of blessings and virtue that one built up in one’s past lives determine what fortune is in store in this lifetime, or perhaps the next. If one lives a blessed and virtuous life now, perhaps it will translate in one’s next lifetime into a high position and salary, or it might translate into different kinds of wealth and fortune. And this would also include whether one has a happy family, or even how one’s children turn out, and so on. This is the fundamental reason why some people are wealthy and others poor, why some hold positions of high rank while others are destitute and homeless. It’s nothing like the diabolical nonsense that sinister communism spouts about equality between rich and poor. The universe is fair. Those who do good are blessed for it, while those who do bad things will face payback—if not in this life, then in the next. For this is an immutable law of the universe! Heaven, Earth, the Divine, and the Creator alike are compassionate toward all lives. Heaven and Earth, just as was man, were made by the Creator, and it is never the case that He plays favorites with some lives and shortchanges others. The reason some people lead happy lives and others do not all comes down to rewards and retribution for past deeds.

When you see people winning or losing in life, it appears to come about in a normal way from things in this world. But it is ultimately the karmic consequences of those people’s past doings. Whether people have something or not, or are winning or losing in life, is going to play out in ways that accord with this world. So no matter whether you are rich or poor in life, you should be sure to do good, refrain from doing bad things, stay good and kind, be spiritual and devout, and be happy to help others. And by doing so, you will build up blessings and virtue, and reap their rewards in the next life. In the past, the older generation in China would often talk about things like not lamenting your lot in life when things are hard and about earning a better next life by gaining virtue through good deeds. And the point was that it’s useless praying to God for help if you didn’t do good things in your former life and earn blessings. The universe has its laws, and even higher beings must obey them. Even they will be punished if they do things they shouldn’t. So things are not as simple as people take them to be. Should people expect higher beings to give them whatever they pray for? The prerequisite is that one has to have built up the blessings and virtue for it over past lifetimes. And so the things that come to you are on account of the blessings and virtue you have! This is what the laws of the universe dictate. But speaking on a fundamental level, getting what you want is not the ultimate goal of accumulating blessings and virtue. The real purpose of building those up is to pave the way for you back to heaven. And that is what’s most crucial, not the brief round of happiness that they can bring you in this lifetime!

‘Wind Power Fails on Every Count’: Oxford Scientist Explains the Math

Here we are and it is literally forty years on in the wind power build out. I have yet to see someone come in and show me that these plants ever simply pay for themselves without all sorts of tax breaks and all that. I do not think that they actually can. It is like writing off a million dollar investment just to earn a living wage.

More to the point we do have better alternatives than all this.  Even solar from the desert is likely much better if we are using batteries.  Wind wou;ld be much better with batterties as well but the cap cost remains huge.  solar is progressing to full reliability, but we still need to see batteries in the system.

The best alternative is a cooling tower like system that uses air pressure gradient to produce a natural driving vaccuum to operate a massive rotational wheel.  Just saying.  I will take the contract.

‘Wind Power Fails on Every Count’: Oxford Scientist Explains the Math

March 27, 2023

A wind farm outside of Palm Springs, Calif., on May 26, 2018.

Wind power has been historically and scientifically unreliable, claims an Oxford University mathematician and physicist, with his calculations revealing the government to be pursuing a “bluster of windfarm politics” while discarding numerical evidence.

After the decision to cut down on fossil fuels was made at the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris, the “instinctive reaction” around the world was to embrace renewables, Professor Emeritus Wade Allison, who is also a researcher at CERN, said in a 2023 paper (pdf).

Allison noted that because solar power is “extremely weak,” it was inadequate to “sustain even a small global population with an acceptable standard of living” before the Industrial Revolution.

“Today, modern technology is deployed to harvest these weak sources of energy. Vast ‘farms’ that monopolise the natural environment are built, to the detriment of other creatures. Developments are made regardless of the damage wrought. Hydro-electric schemes, enormous turbines and square miles of solar panels are constructed, despite being unreliable and ineffective; even unnecessary,” Allison said in the report, published by the Global Warming Policy Foundation.

“In particular, the generation of electricity by wind tells a disappointing story. The political enthusiasm and the investor hype are not supported by the evidence, even for offshore wind, which can be deployed out of sight of the infamous My Back Yard,” he wrote. “What does such evidence actually say?”

According to the U.S. Department of Energy, wind power generated more than 9 percent of the net total of the country’s energy in 2021 and is the largest source of renewable power in the country. Over 70,000 turbines generate enough power to serve the equivalent of 43 million American homes, the department says.

There are 120,000 jobs related to wind energy in the United States, the Energy Department says, and it’s one of the fastest-growing jobs in the country.
The Evidence

Allison explained that wind energy is measured based on the amount of moving air and the speed of the air as it reaches the area swept by the turbine blades.

The scientist calculated that, at 100 percent efficiency, if the wind blows at 10 meters per second (about 22 mph), the power is 600 watts per square meter. Hence, to deliver 3,200 million watts, the same output as Hinkley Point C—a planned zero-carbon nuclear power station in England—there would need to be 5.5 million square meters of turbine swept area.

“That should be quite unacceptable to those who care about birds and to other environmentalists,” Allison wrote.

The actual performance of the technology is much worse than the calculations made based on 100 percent efficiency, he said.

“Because the power carried by the wind depends on the third power of the wind speed, if the wind drops to half speed, the power available drops by a factor of 8,” he said. “Almost worse, if the wind speed doubles, the power delivered goes up 8 times, and as a result the turbine has to be turned off for its own protection.”

Allison noted that fluctuations are considerable as he pointed to a WindEurope Report that showed the installed nominal generating capacity across the European Union and United Kingdom on a daily basis was 236 gigawatts (GW). However, the highest output in 2021 registered at 103 GW on March 26 of that year.

The unreliability extends to offshore windfarms as well. Batteries used to store power are also severely restricted by current technology. In spite of such evidence, the government keeps ignoring the numbers, said Allison.

“With general energy shortages, the war in Europe, high prices and the likelihood of failures in electricity supply, many popular scientific presumptions underlying energy policy should be questioned. Wind power fails on every count,” he concluded.
Failing Turbines, Carbon Dioxide Demonization

Wind turbines across the United States have been failing more frequently in recent times, triggering concerns about additional costs resulting from such failures as well as their impact on power projects. Offshore windfarms, deployed in the name of environmentalism, are now seen as disastrous for ocean life.

Malfunctions in wind turbines range from small issues, like some key components becoming faulty, to full-blown collapses.

According to a 2022 paper published by Wallace Manheimer in the Journal of Sustainable Development, even as modern society depends on reliable sources of energy, the “climate industrial complex”—a powerful lobby of politicians, scientists, and media—pushes climate-related falsehoods into the popular perspective.

“It has somehow managed to convince many that CO2 in the atmosphere, a gas necessary for life on earth, one which we exhale with every breath, is an environmental poison. Multiple scientific theories and measurements show that there is no climate crisis,” said Manheimer, a retired U.S. Naval Research Laboratory scientist.

“Over the period of human civilization, the temperature has oscillated between quite a few warm and cold periods, with many of the warm periods being warmer than today,” he wrote. “During geological times, it and the carbon dioxide level have been all over the place with no correlation between them.”

Top 5 Ancient Greek Inventions We Still Use Today

Well perhaps.  A frames are an obvious innovation along with water locks which surely allowed the Great pyramid to be built.  The real genius of the Greeks was Pythagorus whose geometry allowed the advent of practical geometry which we recognize as engineering.

I do not think he invented it whole cloth, but he did organize a famous school which obviously serrved to gather engineering talent which has always been scarce on the ground unless actually catered to.  Even then real talent remains scarce.

We actually produce an army of journey men able to modify and adjust the well known.

Top 5 Ancient Greek Inventions We Still Use Today

UPDATED 28 MARCH, 2023 - 14:52 LEX LEIGH

Humanity has come a long way when it comes to crafty inventions, but some of the earliest innovative minds were the ancient Greeks. The ancient Greeks came up with several inventions that are still used now, though they may look a little different than they used to. Without these inventions, we certainly wouldn’t be as technologically advanced as we are today

1. Harnessing the Power of Water with Water Mills

In the 3rd century BC, ancient Greeks learned to harness the force of running water and developed the water mill, a significant innovation in the history of milling and an important step toward mechanization.

The water mill was powered by the force of running water, which turned a large wooden or stone wheel that was connected to a shaft or series of gears. As the wheel turned, it powered a system of gears and other mechanisms that could be used for a variety of purposes, such as grinding grain into flour, crushing olives to make oil, or sawing timber into planks.

The Greeks improved their early water mill designs by making future mills more efficient than before. They also developed sophisticated systems of water management including dams, aqueducts, and canals, which allowed them to control the flow of water and direct it to where it needed to go.

The water mill played an important role in the ancient Greek economy, providing a reliable source of power for many industries, including agriculture, mining, and manufacturing. It also helped to spur economic growth and innovation, as new technologies were developed to take advantage of its power.

2. Tracking Distance with the First Odometer

The odometer was an ancient Greek invention that was used to measure the distance traveled by a vehicle. The word "odometer" comes from the Greek words "odos," which means "road," and "metron," which means "measure."

While the odometer was first mentioned by Vitruvius in the 1st century BC, the first known odometer was created by the ancient Greek engineer Archimedes in the 3rd century BC. This early odometer was a simple device made of a wheel with teeth around its edge, which turned a series of gears that could display the distance traveled on a dial. The odometer was then mounted on a cart or chariot and was driven by the rotation of the wheels.

Archimedes' odometer was an important invention for ancient Greek commerce and transportation, as it allowed merchants and traders to accurately measure the distance traveled and better calculate the cost of goods and services. It also helped to improve the efficiency of transportation and logistics, as it allowed for more accurate estimates of travel times and distances.

Over time, the odometer was further developed by other Greek engineers, such as Heron of Alexandria , who created a more advanced version using a series of gears and chains to record distance traveled. The odometer was eventually adapted to also be used on horse-drawn carriages, bicycles, and automobiles. Today, it remains an important tool for measuring distance and speed in modern vehicles.

3. Hurling Projectiles with Ancient Catapults

The creation of the catapult in the 4th century BC revolutionized warfare by allowing soldiers to hurl large projectiles, such as stones and arrows, over long distances. The word "catapult" comes from the Greek word "kata-pultos," which means "downward stroke."

The first catapult was built around 400 BC by Dionysus the Elder. Early catapults were simple devices that used tension, torsion, or counterweights to launch projectiles. The most common type was the torsion catapult, which used twisted ropes or sinews to store energy before being released to launch the projectile.

Over time, the Greeks developed more advanced and sophisticated catapults. One of these advanced designs was the onager, a type of torsion catapult that used a sling to launch the projectile. Another was the ballista, a type of tension catapult that used twisted skeins of rope or sinews to launch large bolts or arrows.

One of the most popular catapults is believed to have been created by Archimedes, who used a series of complex levers and pulleys to launch massive stones over long distances in the siege of Syracuse in 214 BC. The catapult continued to be used throughout the ancient world and was later adapted by the Romans, who developed even more advanced and powerful versions that were used heavily in their military campaigns.

4. Water, Chimes, and Candles: Ancient Alarm Clocks

While the Greeks did not invent alarm clocks as we know them today, they did invent a similar concept in their time around the 4th century BC. Their early alarm clock was called the "water clock" or "clepsydra.” This device was essentially a container that was filled with water and had a small hole in the bottom. As the water slowly dripped out of the hole, it marked the passage of time using carvings within the bowl. It could also be used to wake someone up at a specific hour by pouring a set amount of water into a separate container that was fitted with a float to chime when it was full.

Spillover water operates a series of gears that rotates a cylinder so that hour lengths are appropriate for today's date. The ancient Greeks and Romans had twelve hours from sunrise to sunset; since summer days are longer than winter days, summer hours were longer than winter hours. ( Public Domain )

Another device that was used as an alarm was a simple candle clock, which consisted of a candle marked with evenly spaced lines, each representing a specific interval of time. As the candle burned down, the lines would gradually disappear, allowing someone to tell the time. Some of these candles had nails or stones in them, so they would fall once the candle melted to a specific time and wake them up.

In addition to these timekeeping devices, the Greeks also used roosters and other animals as natural alarms, and would sometimes employ servants or slaves to wake them up at a specific time.
5. Easier Construction with the Crane

Tired of heavy lifting, the Greeks invented the first crane around 500 BC. The crane allowed the ancient Greeks to lift building blocks and statues that were typically too heavy to move by hand.

Early cranes were constructed with wood and had a long arm (called a jib) attached to a rotating base. The jib had a pulley system that allowed workers to lift and lower heavy objects. These cranes were operated by hand or sometimes by animals, such as oxen, which would pull ropes attached to the jib.

As the technology improved, cranes became more sophisticated. The Greeks figured out how to develop cranes that were powered by water, using hydraulic systems to lift heavy objects. They also invented the treadwheel crane, which used human or animal power to turn a large wheel that lifted and lowered objects.

The Greeks used cranes in many different ways, including in the construction of temples, palaces, and other large buildings. They also used cranes to move statues and other works of art. The most famous example of the use of cranes in Greek architecture is the construction of the Parthenon in Athens , which was built in the 5th century BC using cranes to lift and move the massive marble blocks that make up the temple.

Modern Technology Thanks to the Greeks

The ancient Greeks were the epitome of innovation, and their legacy lives on today in many of the modern inventions we use. From the water mill, which revolutionized milling and led to the mechanization of industries, to the catapult, which transformed warfare and helped shape history, the Greeks were truly ahead of their time.

5 Months to Kill: The terrifying relationship between Deaths, COVID Deaths & Covid-19 Vaccination

The science is now getting fully updated and we appear to have a five month lag from injection to observing a death event.  I think i am reading that right.  This was more than enough to initially hide what was really happening with short term effects.

It also tells us that something long term is happening in the victims.  If you survive five months, you are unlikely then to die, but there is no telling how much damage was inflicted.  Of course, no one is likely doing autopsys ofn accidental deaths in order to establish a proper baseline for vaccine damage yet.

There never was a pandemic per se, but we certainly had agent distributed engineered corona viruses to spoof such a pandemic.  This was then used to drive fear and sell the faux vaccine which was never a vaccine.  On top of that stats were manipulated globally to jui ce the death rate.

Happy yet.  what really bothers me is that i almost made them from the get go.  Yet here we are, just like climate change, claiming still that it is real.

We will discover who played and all will be banded before we actually investigate crimes committed.  No rush then.

5 Months to Kill: The terrifying relationship between Deaths, COVID Deaths & Covid-19 Vaccination

https://expose-news.com/2023/03/28/5-months-to-kill-the-terrifying-relationship-between-deaths-covid-deaths-covid-19-vaccination/

A peculiar pattern has now persisted in official UK Government data for some time. Approximately five months after each dose of the Covid-19 vaccine is administered to each age group, the mortality rates per 100,000 rise significantly among the vaccinated compared to the unvaccinated.

So much so that by the end of May 2022, mortality rates were lowest among the unvaccinated in every single age group in England, and highest among the one-dose vaccinated, the two-dose vaccinated and the three-dose vaccinated.

Now, an analysis of Covid-19 data published by the UK Government has found that not only does the same pattern persists in Covid-19 deaths, but each dose of Covid-19 injection given causes a significant rise in Covid-19 deaths.

Between the 1st March and 31st July 2021, a period of 5 months, the vaccinated accounted for the majority of Covid-19 deaths in England, and it was the one-dose vaccinated who accounted for the majority (66%) of those deaths.

Between the 1st August and 31st December 2021, a period of 5 months, the vaccinated again accounted for the majority of Covid-19 deaths, with deaths nearly tripling compared to the previous 5 months, and it was the two-dose vaccinated who accounted for the majority (83%) of those deaths.

Finally, between the 1st January and 31st May 2022, a period of 5 months, the vaccinated once again accounted for the majority of Covid-19 deaths, with deaths again increasing compared to the previous five months, and it was the triple vaccinated who accounted for the majority (82%) of those deaths.

The following charts were created using data extracted from table 1 of the Office for National Statistics dataset on ‘Deaths by vaccination status (Jan 21 to March 22)’ which can be accessed on the ONS website here, and downloaded here.

The first chart shows the age-standardised mortality rates per 100,000 person-years by vaccination status between the 1st January 2021 and the 30th April 2021 –

As you can see, mortality rates are highest among the unvaccinated each month. However, by the end of April 2021, five months after the first Covid-19 injection was administered in the UK, things started to even out among each vaccination group and the unvaccinated.

But look what happened in the following four months.

The first chart shows the age-standardised mortality rates per 100,000 person-years by vaccination status between the 1st May 2021 and the 30th August 2021 –

The mortality rate among the vaccinated began to surpass the mortality rate among the unvaccinated significantly. By the end of August 2022, the mortality rate per 100,000 among the unvaccinated was the second lowest among each vaccination group.

Unfortunately, a follow-up report published by the ONS on 6th July 2022, proves that things did not improve for the vaccinated population.

The following two charts were created using data extracted from table 2 of the latest ONS dataset on ‘Deaths by vaccination status (Jan 21 to May 22)’, which can be accessed on the ONS website here, and downloaded here.

The charts show the monthly age-standardised mortality rates by vaccination status and age group between January 2022 and May 2022 –

A more detailed analysis of the data contained in the above charts can be read here, but what these two charts show is that by May 2022 at the latest, mortality rates per 100,000 were the lowest among the unvaccinated in every single age group in England.

Mortality rates were already generally higher among the one-dose vaccinated and two-dose vaccinated in each group, but with a mass booster (third dose) campaign not beginning until December 2021, we did not begin to see mortality rates among the three-dose vaccinated surpass mortality rates among the unvaccinated until… you guessed it… approximately five months later.

These are age-standardised figures. There is no other conclusion that can be found for the fact mortality rates per 100,000 are the lowest among the unvaccinated other than that the Covid-19 injections are killing people.

This pattern may explain why official data on Covid-19 deaths suggests that each dose of Covid-19 vaccine administered increases the number of alleged Covid-19 deaths, with those who have had the most doses accounting for the majority of those deaths.

According to the UK Governments’ COVID-19 Dashboard’, by the 1st March 2021, 35.9% of people in England aged 12 and over had received a single dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, and just 1.3% of people in England aged 12 and over had received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.

But here’s what happened in terms of Covid-19 deaths in the following five months from that point onwards according to data extracted from table 1 of the latest ONS ‘Deaths by vaccination status‘ dataset –

The public was told that they needed two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine for it to be fully effective. But despite only a tiny percentage of people being two-dose vaccinated by the 1st of March, Covid-19 deaths began to fall significantly by the month.

However, as you can see from the above chart, it was the vaccinated who accounted for the majority of Covid-19 deaths each month, and it was the one-dose vaccinated who accounted for the majority of those deaths over a period of five months.

In all, there were 5,629 Covid-19 deaths. The vaccinated accounted for 63% of those deaths, 66% of which were among the one-dose vaccinated.

But things actually began to get worse for the double vaccinated in June, and unfortunately, by July 2021, Covid-19 deaths were on the rise again.

By the 1st of August 2021, 81.3% of people in England aged 12 and over had received a single dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, and 66.4% of people in England aged 12 and over had received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.

But here’s what happened in terms of Covid-19 deaths in the following five months from that point onwards according to data extracted from table 1 of the latest ONS ‘Deaths by vaccination status‘ dataset –

In the middle of this period, it was decided that vaccine effectiveness wanes and that a third dose needed to be offered to the elderly and vulnerable from the beginning of October. But the claim that vaccine effectiveness wanes is a myth.

All the vaccine allegedly does is instruct our cells to produce part of the Covid-19 virus. It’s our immune system that does the rest. Therefore, it’s the performance of the immune system that wanes.

Nevertheless, as you can see from the above, people given a third dose began to account for a large chunk of the people dying of Covid-19 from the very first moment it was administered.

It was however the double vaccinated who accounted for the vast majority of Covid-19 deaths among the vaccinated during this period. 83% to be exact. And the vaccinated population as a whole accounted for 79% of the 13,309 alleged Covid-19 deaths between the 1st of August and the 31st of December 2021.

This means the overall number of Covid-19 deaths increased by 136% over this period compared to the previous five months.

By the 1st of January 2022, 90% of people in England aged 12 and over had received a single dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, 82.3% of people in England aged 12 and over had received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, and 59.1% of people in England had received three doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.

But here’s what happened in terms of Covid-19 deaths in the following five months from that point onwards according to data extracted from table 1 of the latest ONS ‘Deaths by vaccination status‘ dataset –

By the end of May 2022, England had suffered 15,113 Covid-19 deaths, and the vaccinated accounted for a shocking 13,666 of them. The majority of them among the triple vaccinated every single month.

This means that overall the vaccinated population accounted for 90% of Covid-19 deaths during this period. 82% of which were among the triple vaccinated.

But what’s perhaps most concerning in this period is the massive decline in deaths among the unvaccinated but the increase in deaths each month among the vaccinated.

In January the vaccinated accounted for 85% of Covid-19 deaths, 67% of which were among the triple jabbed.

In February the vaccinated accounted for 90% of Covid-19 deaths, 74% of which were among the triple jabbed.

In March the vaccinated accounted for 93% of Covid-19 deaths, 82%% of which were among the triple jabbed.

In April the vaccinated accounted for 94%% of Covid-19 deaths, 91% of which were among the triple jabbed.

Finally, in May, a month where we would expect seasonal illness to decline, as proven by the figures, the vaccinated still accounted for 94% of Covid-19 deaths, 85% of which were among the triple jabbed.

We had to wait until February 2023, for the official figures on deaths by vaccination status to be updated for the months following, but we already knew from the UK Governments’ Covid-19 dashboard that the drop in Covid-19 deaths in May was short-lived, with deaths beginning to rise again from July onwards.

Something that doesn’t make sense when it comes to the fact these deaths are supposed to be caused by a virus that thrives in winter and declines in summer.

But when we see that the elderly and vulnerable were being offered a fourth dose from April onwards, we perhaps shouldn’t be so surprised that Covid-19 deaths began to rise in the middle of a red hot summer.

Official figures sneakily published by the UK Government on the 21st of February 2023, reveal that the triple+ vaccinated population accounted for 92% of Covid-19 deaths throughout the entirety of 2022, and 9 in every 10 Covid-19 deaths in England over the past two years.

The overdue dataset from the ONS is titled ‘Deaths by Vaccination Status, England, 1 April 2021 to 31 December 2022‘, and it can be accessed on the ONS site here, and downloaded here.

We took the figures provided by the ONS and have produced the following charts showing Covid-19 deaths by vaccination status in England between 1st April 2021 and 31st December 2022, a period of 21 Months –

The figures reveal that despite a fifth dose of the Covid-19 injection being offered to the public before the end of the year, it’s those who had the most doses that account for the majority of deaths among the vaccinated.
