to start with the current Trade War, should never have happened not least because it is turning out to be blindingly stupid on the part of the USA.  It will and must end in tot6al USA capitulation.  The only question is how long it may drag out.  Canada has already gobbled up all the easy wins as all those gentlemen's agreements evaporated.

What emerges from this is a deeply chastened USA quite happy to accept a Canadian led RULES BASED TRADE ORDER  with QUOTAS and few tarriffs.  This is also known as supply management.

Also do understand that the rail connect to Churchill will now be built and this means container traffic can offload in Prince Rupert, travel four days to Churchill and then board ship for Europe.  This happens to be the real northwest passage which is open for at east six months and easily supported with ice breakers.  We already have Chicago and montreal via the same rail system and several more days of sailing.

Understand that shipping time from Shanghai to rotterdam is around 37 days via suez and not Panama.  However Shanghai to prince rupert is 15 days.  From Chuchill to Rotterdam we have as little as six days.  And rail access can be expected to match Chicago which is less than five days.  My point is that all this can be optimised to approach 25 days with a cost profile matching the Suez profile.

this means that container traffic has a clear third routing alternative able to bypass Suez and Panama and also knock two weeks of sailing time.  all this before opening the mythical nothwest Passage which ultimately demands massive dirt movement to really work.

The EXISTENTIAL THREAT facing Canada and the Globe is not this Trade War sideshow but POPULATION CONTRACTION.  TO fix this we need to rewrite the human cutural protocol.  You all know what we have evolved and used forever and with modernity, it is not good enough.

First off the hard part is that every young girl upon reaching 18, must be mandated to produce four babies.  Science may well allow this to be done in artificial wombs, but we are not there yet.  The mandate must still stand.  At the same time, our young men must enter service during which they all master a range of tool applications and animal husbandry as well and military fitness requirements..

The women will also see similar training vis a vis child care in particular ,but also an additional focus of Drone management.   In all this, we gain a population expansion and a robust physical Corp manpower that is combat ready while supported one on one by women manning combat drones.

Thus Canada, by itself can quickly build up to a full 4,000,0000 combat soldiers supported by 4,000,000 female drone operators. all of which can be deployed globally as needed.  Yet the central purpose is not protection but to completely support the production of babies to offset both Canada's population decline and even global decline at the same time.  

Understand that converting out boreal forest into grassland provides ample space for a billion Canadians living well.  Thus this expansive protocol should supercharge immigration particularly applying planned parental support to make it all work.

What I am saying is that this is ambitious and possible and also shows the world what has to be done.  At some point, the mandate can be dropped to three or even less ,when the globe accepts that the risk is no longer significant..
