No one really gets it ,do they?  No established politician will try to run if it will be against Trump.  that alone tells you that anyone out there is a tactical player.  

So now we have a clean run in the primaries for Trump and no muddying the waters. More telling is the dearth of DEM contestants as well.

And folks, please listen to the silence.  what happened to all those famous who never missed a chance to stand in front of a camera?

Well, well, well. So, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has already "pulled the rug out" from beneath the feet of the Establishment Republican'ts that he sucked-into his fake campaign. He has dropped out of the race and, like fellow White Hat agent, Vivek Ramaswamy, whole-heartedly endorsed Trump just two days before the "first-in-the-nation" New Hampshire primary! (Iowa is a "causcus," not exactly a primary). 

You know, your humble historical chronicler here at "The Editorial Board" of The Anti-New York Times isn't really the self-congratulatory, horn-tooting type; but given the ignorant ridicule and personal abuse spat at yours truly by incredulous former readers at the time, a revisiting of a certain controversial, prescient and lonely analysis is in order here. 

From the November 10, 2022 issue of the ANYT: "DeSantis may be secretly working with Trump (the man who made him) -- But as for Trump, it seems obvious to us that he is once again baiting his internal enemies (who never seem to learn any lessons) into yet another mole hunt. 

It was Trump who initiated the "feud" by referring to DeSantis as "DeSanctimonious" at one of his rallies. The comment surprised and confused the audience because DeSantis is highly regarded in MAGAland, and he has never given any indication that he opposes Trump. Like a cat foolishly chasing a laser pointer, the Deep State took Trump's bait and created the "Trump-DeSantis" split which, like every other "get Trump" initiative, will also fail because Trump was behind it all along. 

Let us see what other ambitious scoundrels, cowardly weaklings and hidden traitors will imprudently hop aboard the DeSantis 2024 bandwagon in the coming weeks and months." * Four months later, from the March 28, 2023 issue of the ANYT: -- the joke is on the slow-witted Establishmentarians who, along with many in MAGA nation, cannot imagine that Trump and DeSantis might be playing a tactical game here. So then, what's up with the Trump-DeSantis "split?" Why is Trump suddenly hating on the man he so strongly endorsed but now openly disparages as "Ron DeSanctimonius" -- the political star that Trump created? Strategic deception requires this, otherwise the play won't work. This is similar to how Trump used to dump on Attorney General Jeff 'Do Nothing" Sessions in order to conceal the fact that Sessions was actually waging war against the Deep State -- and how he "attacked" the Freedom Caucus back in 2017 in order to conceal the fact that he was working closely with the group all along.

It's not that Trump needs DeSantis in the race as his "opposition" who will "throw the match." But rigging the GOP primary in this manner accomplishes two objectives:

1. DeSantis is blocking the emergence of any viable RINO challenger and thus enabling a massive landslide primary win.

2. DeSantis is helping Trump to smoke out the closet "never-Trumper" rats in politics and media. Those induced into supporting DeSantis will be shunned by King Trump in his 3rd term.

Wait and see. At some point, Trump and DeSantis will publicly kiss and make up -- thus pulling the rug out from beneath the feet of Trump-haters and pretenders alike." (emphasis added) * Nailed it. (bowing) *
