The obvious value proposition is nerve damage repair. Even bigger though is the advent of accessing directly our computer technology using this for the mechanical interface.
In an ideal world it becomes possible to simply open a screen in our mind off to one side to replace the one we have to use our eyes to see. We can even write directly there all while continuing to use our senses.
Thus hands and eyes can support ongoing physical tasks at the same time or at least concurrently by shifting attention rapidly back and forth....
