To start with, it is able to alter its orbital path. We know thatt this is not possible from an inert chunk of anything. what this conforms to however, is the physics of Cloud cosmology and the actual abiity to shift DARK MATTER or most Gravity in and out of the visual mass.
As an aside, the formula for kinetic energy is KE = Mass times velocity squared or Mv^2. This means that pushing mass out of an object causes its velocity to rocket upward in whatever direction it is moving. thus powering up and pushing mass out of an object moving even slowly, could easily accelerate the object to close light speed. This may be why it is so huge ladies.
It is thus plausible that this object came from its home panet at close to light speed and is now slowing down or speeding up by adjusting its mass content
This ability does explain just what we are seeing. And why the tail is even able to point forward no less.
And also sending a mass of gas forward acts to protect this object as it passes closest to the sun. Rather important.
The huge size also allows that this could be a Terra Forming Gravity machine sent to reform Venus in particular. A true Machina ex Deus. Understand that this size is not necessary for simple exploration, particularly if wormhole transits are possible.
Understand also that TIME transfer elimainates lifetime commitments. Such a huge object may well be and even should be buildable in place, sent back in time 2,000,000 years and then sent toward us. It will obviously be able to go back and rework Venus.
