Neo Isolation?

Just what is this all about?  We are supposed to believe that Trump does not understand that all tarrifs are paid internally.  I am sorry, but he certainly took economics 101.  And you most certainly do not create a billion dollar real estate empire in the most competative market by been blindingly stupid.  It cannot be done.

He has also made all USA trade relationships adversarial when this was likely unnessary.  It is also apparant that he cannot negotiate hundreds of sensible trade deals at the same time.  no one can.  Just too much slippage.  So surely there is an over riding reason for all this.

In the meantime, what it is allowing is for CANADA to collect all key USA trade alliances quick as a bunny.  understand that Canada was kept out of these markets by a range of mostly gentlemens agrement.  Sort of, like Italy is already supplied by ohio, so we will leave it alone.  sudddeny Italy is cast free as a customer.

Right now Canada is lapping the table on trade only because those gentlemans agreements have gone sideways.  obviously none expected it to be so quick.

Now the bigger picture.  Canada is not going to run out of oil if ever.  worse, we are hauling it by rail through Chicago to the Gulf which is around 900 miles which is the same distance as from Chicago to Montreal.  My point is that partially upgraded crude can leave montreal for european refiners.  Pipelines and refineries will be built, but that railcar fleet already exists and is hauling oil at over one million barrels per day. Again this can obviously be refined product.

Canadian trade infrasturcture is actually superb.  It is just that it always had to be BIG and that really took steady building over a century.  and yes, those rail tracks are Canadian owned to both New Orleans and Montreal.  No surprises there ever.
