Don’t Fear the Germ – It’s a Catastrophic Distraction

There is ample reason to question our accepted understanding of disease transmission.  Yet it is actually a palette like explanation model in which you pick and choose how you wish to explain what is happening.

Empirically, some diseases do spread through manageble human contact and a spreading agent is an obvious mechanism.  Yet a robust immune system makes short work of most prospective sichness.

Just as obviously fighting all forms of spreading agents is done with a robust immune system.  Thus vitimin C et al.  The low death rate is a reflection of social immunity.  That is what failed in isolated communities.

Don’t Fear the Germ – It’s a Catastrophic Distraction

There has never been a better time to address “germ-mongering” than right now, amidst a global shutdown over the highly mysterious coronavirus (COVID-19). We’ve been told to stay home, close businesses, and report your neighbour if they don’t practice social distancing, and it has all come at a cost which we haven’t been able to come to grips with just yet.

But has this whole “pandemic” come at a cost of ignorance? Have we lost our way on how threatening this virus is to the general population? Do we really know what measures are most effective to protect our health, without ruining economies at scale?

It appears right now the leaders don’t, and it could cost us much more than we ever imagined. For the sake of our health, finances, and freedom, I urge you to consider that the germ may not actually be the real issue, but rather, the terrain in which it thrives.

Let’s examine both theories.

The Germ Theory

The germ – or microbial – theory of disease was popularized by Louis Pasteur (1822 – 1895), the inventor of pasteurization.

This theory states that there are fixed, external germs which invade the body and are the direct cause of a variety of separate, definable diseases. If you truly want to be healthy, you need to destroy whatever germ made you sick (like prescribed antibiotics) , and do whatever possible to make “sure” that you never allow a microbe to enter your body in the first place (this is where chemical hand sanitizer and quarantine find their roots).

With this theory comes Western medicine and its tools and technology that treats the symptoms of an unfriendly microbe rooting itself in the internal environment, through things such as drugs, surgery, radiation, injections, and chemotherapy.

The germ theory was partly shaped around Pasteur’s idea that the human body is sterile, meaning it is a blank slate devoid of any germs (which we now know is WILDLY inaccurate). With this notion in mind we could conclude that we have to combat germs all the time in every way possible, and that preventative measures through things like a natural and holistic lifestyle, are completely useless.

The Terrain Theory

The terrain theory was initiated by Claude Bernard (1813 – 1878), and later built upon by Antoine Bechamp (1816-1908). He believed that the “terrain” or “internal environment” determined our state of health.

When the body is functioning in homeostasis, and immunity and detoxification is operating well, he claimed there was a healthy terrain which could handle various pathogenic microorganisms that inevitably are thrown its way.

In essence, he believed the quality of the terrain and the elements it faced determined an individual’s susceptibility to disease.

Bernard, Bechamp, and their successors, believed that disease occurs to a large extent as a function of biology and as a result of changes that take place when metabolic processes become imbalanced.

Germs then become symptoms that stimulate the occurrence of more symptoms, which eventually culminate into disease. A weak terrain is naturally more vulnerable to external threats, so it needs to be built up through nutrition, detoxification, and by maintaining a proper pH or acid/alkaline balance.

For this and other reasons Bechamp argued vehemently against toxic injections, asserting that “the most serious disorders may be provoked by the injection of living organisms into the blood.” Untold numbers of researchers have agreed with him.

So, if you closely follow the terrain theory, you are aware of various pathogens that could be harmful to your health, but instead of fearing and fighting them with toxic measures, you simply create an internal environment that is inhospitable to them.

Above all, creating this pathogen repelling environment simply means following a highly hydrating, nutrient dense, easy to digest, and cleansing nutritional plan, that is focused on daily anti-microbials.

Plot Twist – Germ Theorists Repent!

One of the most interesting twists in this battle for “disease prevention supremacy” primarily headlined by Pasteur and Bernard, is that Pasteur recanted on his deathbed over his entire life work, stating that “the microbe is nothing; the milieu is everything.” Another way of stating these words is that it is not the germ that causes disease, but the terrain in which the germ is found.

Another gentleman, Rudolf Virchow, father of the germ theory, stated in his later years, “If I could live my life over again, I would devote it to proving that germs seek their natural habitat – diseased tissues – rather than causing disease.”

I wonder what Pasteur and Virchow would say today, at our collective fear of a germ that threatens the societal fabric that holds together our social, financial, and spiritual needs as human beings. I believe they would examine the cases, the symptoms, and the underlying health issues of all the victims, and state that the germ wasn’t the real problem, but the environment in which it was allowed to infiltrate.

As someone who suffered with 13 chronic health conditions, due to a poorly functioning terrain, I can attest to how easy it is to succumb to pathogenic germs. However, I can also staunchly defend that building an impressive inner ecology is all you need to do in order to ward off or dispatch any environmental threat, including COVID-19.
