A nice item reminding us that we have used the dandelion for a long time. Obviously the dandelion has followed humanity everwhere simply by joining any seeds been shared.
We forget that weed seeds are typically in every seed harvest. We typically separate them out by winnowing. Thus long before we had machine winnowing weed seeds got through.
A typical grain field will have a large mustard content unless sprayed. The actual mustard seed content can easily approach several percentage points. Thus it is easy to see dandelion seeds hitching a ride.
