This work is continuing. This technology will become a global event over the next several decades. There is nowhere that it cannot be profitably applied.
for ten thousands of years, humanity has been destroying woodlands instead of sustainably managing them. This quickly changes all that in an extremely effective manner. The planting takes place once and maintenance is almost zero. this is huge.
Followup once established should be the same for all woodlands and that means grooming. Another forgotten art that easily produces at least fifteen tons of wood fiber per hectare and excellent stems as well.

Groasis is planting on the ’Roof of the World’ in Tibet
In August 2019, Pieter Hoff, founder and ambassador of the Groasis
Ecological Water Saving Technology visited Tibet. Tibet is the highest
region on Earth, with an average elevation of 5,000 m (16,000 ft). The
highest elevation in Tibet is Mount Everest, Earth's highest mountain,
rising 8,848 m (29,029 ft) above sea level.
Tibet known as the Roof of the World, also faces eroded mountain slopes
with potential danger for mudslides, avalanches and snow slips. Like in
any country in the world, logging has taken place. Yet in Sub-alpine
areas (between 3,200 and 4,400m) with cold temperate forests, conditions
for trees to grow are harsher than in lower areas. Cold temperate
forest are mainly fir and spruce with an admixture of larch, birch, and
aspen.
Pieter Hoff in Tibet
Any visit of Pieter to a faraway country is of course accompanied by
either monitoring progress on existing projects or starting a new one.
Here in Tibet, not far from the capital of Lhasa (the red-coloured
Potala palace can be seen in the picture in the background), on the
Tibetan Plateau, a new project was started: ‘Groasis Waterboxxes® in
Tibet’.
This planting took place on a steep and rocky slope at 4,000 meters / 13,123 ft ASL. All plantings were done successfully and with great care by the Tibetan people.
In order to protect the seedlings from grazing animals, sandstorms (yes
in Tibet), and strong temperature differences, the transparent Growsafe
Telescoprotexx Plant protector was placed into the Waterboxxes®. This
Growsafe also gives an extra boost to the growth of the seedlings. In
each of the Waterboxxes® two seedlings of more than six (6) native
species were planted and with a proven +90% survival rate, the expected
future for this mountain slope looks bright.
We hope to return to the impressive Roof of the World soon and see the progress of this challenging project with our own eyes.

Eco-restoration in Wuhai, Inner Mongolia, China
Inner Mongolia is the largest coal-producing province in China. In 2017,
it accounted for 26% of the country's total production. The western
region contains the Ordos and Wuhai prefectures, which contribute 68% of
production for the province. Coal produced in this region is extracted
using underground longwall operations as well as large-scale surface
mines (an area a large as 36,000 hectares)
Since a number of years the Chinese government is executing an
environmental friendly policy, to improve the damaged land by mines
(mine dumps) and (re)plant grass, trees and flowers.
What better way to guarantee success than to use the Groasis
Waterboxxes®? In order to boost the growth of trees the Groasis
Ecological Water Saving Technology is put to use in a number of projects
in Wuhai. Pieter Hoff visited 2 sites where successful planting with
the Waterboxx® plant cocoon took place.

We will keep you posted on the results, and
based upon our experience in Zaragoza, Spain, where we also very
successfully replanted the areas around mines, we expect a green zone of
trees, that in the coming decades will restore the degraded areas and
bring animal and plant life back again.
