Sugar: the Evolution of a Forbidden Fruit

This item is a history of how we got here with sugar.  It is a good thing but it is for most too much of a good thing.  Then there is the problem of sensitivity slip.  Once consuming sugar it is easy to add more because it is no longer quite sweet enough.

Our whole western society takes more hidden sugar in more things than we even grasp.  You will notice this when you eat oriental fast food which simply has less.

Thus food manufacturers are working with Stevia in order to have our cake and eat it too.  It may work but we forget that all food development has a long gestation period.
