It is not threatening, but it is
still an extraordinary sight. In time we
will collect a large library of separate events that will be well worth
speculating on and possibly modeling.
Perhaps some day we will even model the twists and moves taking place
inside the sun itself. I do not expect
to develop accurate forecasting for anything but the gross events like sunspots
which may well become much more predictable.
I think the speed of change is
just too chaotic. The appearance of form
and shape is in practice likely to be simply misleading.
Otherwise enjoy this clip.
Fantastic New Video Shows Huge Eruption on the Sun

This video by NASA’s Solar
Dynamics Observatory captures a dramatic filament eruption on Aug. 31. Shown in
the video in extreme ultraviolet light, the filament collapsed and exploded in
spectacular fashion. The segment shown in red covers nearly 3 hours.
The NOAA spaceweather prediction
center estimates the resulting cloud of radiation will reach Earth on Sep. 3, but
will only create a minor to moderate geomagnetic storm.
Nice reading..solar is alternative energy that not all country use it..
