I have already posted on my
surprising conjecture regarding the material in Genesis. My insight there was to understand that we
are reading a report on the resettlement of the Mid East by a colonizing group
originally led by Noah. Coming after the
Pleistocene nonconformity and a general recovery, this group of genetically optimized
human beings left their space habitats and began to establish agriculture in their
colonizing area in the valleys of the Tigris and Euphrates
and surrounds. This included rich lands in the present day Persian
Gulf that can be restored.
No one ever questions that Noah was
a human being nor his family who individually lived for centuries but were
still mortal.
The Greek pantheon can also be
reinterpreted the same way. They based
themselves up on a mountain plateau and this likely took on the same role as
Ararat. As I have posted, large freight
handling MEVs (Magnetic Exclusion Vessels – article on reverse engineering a
UFO) are limited as to altitude and are way more efficient if they do not try
to land too deep in Earth’s Magnetic field.
Thus the initial base will be on a convenient mountain for transshipment
down to the plains.
The geographical Mount Olympus
may well be landing site, as could any number of other high points throughout
the globe. In the event we have a group
of human beings establishing a safe house and sending out colonists to
establish first agricultural settlements.
Again this particular mountain places the station close to the Danube
and accessible to the Mediterranean . This is definitely good enough to populate
all of Europe with little in the way of water
craft.
I also suspect similar stations
were established in Western Europe and that
additional breeds of humanity were also introduced. Who knows what they were thinking. The two stations identified are only a
thousand miles apart but both access major river systems which is surely the
key. In Europe we have the Rhine and surrounding forests so a third station at least
seems likely.
All these so called pantheons are
human beings having long live spans, sufficient to leave the legend of
immortality. They are obviously all gone
now, so immortality was not real.
Once we dismiss ideas of
supernatural aspects and reduce our purported gods to the local station
managers acting on behalf of the central colonization authority, otherwise
known as GOD, the rest becomes simple
tales of their folly as passed down to us in oral tales.
Once the historical connection
disappeared, it led to the establishment of the idea of a supernatural GOD and
pantheon assigning god hood to known individuals. All this gets past the idea that the direct
connection is now severed. From that
arose a supernatural religion we know today.
In a sense natural ideas of local deities, which is very satisfying and
reassuring morphed into the universal idea of a greater GOD who took on the
same role by attaching itself to the obviously greater power of the station
keepers. It all seems so obvious and
consistent.
I am constantly amazed and amused by people who realize that some set of myths or legends resembles part of the history recorded in Genesis and the rest of the Torah, and immediately crows "Look, the Jews copied this from the ...[insert ancient civilization here]. No one ever makes the logical assumption that just MAYBE the Aztec or Maya or Chinese or Latin or Celtic or Babylonians or whomever were repeating fragments of what their ancestors had told them of the world's real history. Your point about the Olympians being based on fragmented memories of Noah and his family with their great lifespan and high-mountain dwelling is a great idea.
ReplyDeletewhat is startling about the Genesis account is that it is apparently intact, but translated reasonably into the language and script of the late bronze age. That other such 'stations' were also established is obvious. Once understood in that context and also understanding the additional context provided by both the Pleistocene nonconformity i have posted on and supporting scriptures from India that add hugely to the general picture, the reconstruction of so called pantheons becomes both obvious and no longer magical at all.
