This finding is consistent with years of climate model research showing that higher overnight lows should be expected with climate change."<br /><br />Actually, I think this is attributable to the growth of urban "heat islands." An increase in the amount of concrete and asphalt which stores heat acquired during the day and released again at night; thus leading to higher low temperatures while having little or no effect on daytime highs.
