This is very good news for the salmon farming industry as it eliminates the one risk factor not easily dealt with. That is interference with the wild stocks.
It will thus allow a massive expansion of the farmed salmon industry which has long since superseded the wild fishery.
All good. Fish farming has kept beneath the radar but has globally also long since over matched wild fisheries. As this shows, the industry is also becoming steadily better at it.
