What is happening now is publicity. Folks are now coming forward with their experiences. This is adding massively to the data base and as this encourages more investigation the data improves as well. The lady here ran into a male Giant Sloth in all likelihood. It is one of the typical reports that fit nicely into my present collection now totaling well over twenty.
We all need to understand that large carnivores are smart carnivores. All are also nocturnal as well. Our only real exception is the bear.
Again the Giant Sloth specializes in converting kills into maggot caches. This stinks.
This publicity is bringing vastly more resources to the game and sooner or later one of these animals will be killed or captured. Then the game will really get serious. It will be the wits of our trackers against a local wise predator not wishing to be found.
History backs Morphy up.
"They cry; their hands are shaking. You can tell that they're reliving something that's very real to them."
